FEARFULLY & WONDERFULLY MADE
On the morning of January 29, Dr. Eunice Gwanmesia took to her social media timeline, where she erected a rather memorable, spiritually-empowering post.
Said Gwanmesia before her gallery of followers via Facebook:
“It’s two years today since you left us Daddy! We miss you dearly but know you are in a better place. Continue Resting in Peace!”
Given how Dr. Gwanmesia has steadfastly gone about carrying out her father’s memory, it’s safe to assume “Daddy” is overwhelmingly proud of his beloved daughter’s latest milestone, one that has come to fruition with the ceremonious release of THE POWER OF YOUR IDENTITY: A Cultural Landscape for Children, her highly-anticipated book that has emerged as an Amazon bestseller.

“I wrote the book, The Power of Your Identity, to share my journey as a global diversity champion,” Dr. Gwanmesia, a Magnolia, Delaware-based author, told Making Headline News this week. “My experiences as an immigrant, adapting to different cultures, and raising a child with unique needs have taught me the importance of embracing cultural differences.”
As this well-respected DE&I Strategist, educator, speaker, and healthcare professional explained, her idea of composing her latest written work comes amid an in-depth conversation with her children.
PUTTIN’ IT WORK
“While having conversations with my children, I realized that they were facing similar challenges as I did in the early 90s,” Dr. Gwanmesia told MHN. “So I wanted to create a guide for parents and teachers to help engage students in conversations about embracing cultural differences at an early age. I believe that these conversations can start at home right at the kitchen table and lead to kids having a sense of self-confidence, a positive self-image, and a sense of security and well-being. This can ultimately result in better educational outcomes for kids. The book is also a resource for creating inclusive classroom cultures that foster learning.”
Powered by Joan T Randall Enterprise LLC — which published Dr. Gwanmesia’s book — THE POWER OF YOUR IDENTITY: A Cultural Landscape for Children is a must-read for parents and educators guiding our children as they deal with the crisis of identity in culturally diverse environments, as mentioned in a detailed synopsis of this author’s book at Amazon.com.

A book that is comprised of 178 pages, this guide advises parents and educators on various techniques to combat the societal challenges their children face, all the while simultaneously reinforcing their self-esteem and sense of self-worth as they acknowledge and embrace the power of their identity, said an Amazon spokesperson for Dr. Gwanmesia’s latest written work.
According to Dr. Gwanmesia, her quest of composing her latest book comes amid arguably the darkest season of her life, she recalls.
“The years from 2019 to 2022 were undoubtedly the toughest I have ever faced,” Dr. Gwanmesia, who has authored and co-authored other books, explained. “To make matters worse, I lost my father in January 2021, which was a profound loss for me. However, during this difficult time, I was reminded of my roots and the importance of my cultural identity. I turned to God for guidance and was led to believe that the key to fostering a world where people can embrace each other despite their differences is to start these conversations at home, around the kitchen table. By raising confident, self-assured children, we can create a more inclusive society where everyone feels valued and accepted.”
To her credit, Dr. Gwanmesia needed only a few months to produce her newest published masterpiece, having commenced to composing The Power of Your Identity in Spring 2022.
“And the first manuscript was submitted on October 28, 2022,” said Dr. Gwanmesia, a native of Kumbo, the second-largest city in the North West Province of Cameroon and the capital of Bui Division who made her authorship debut in October 2017 with the release of Cultural Awareness: A Strategy That Can Influence Your Journey to Success.
PURPOSE PUSHER
Even before her latest book reached bestseller status, Dr. Gwanmesia had become the beneficiary of a rash of favorable feedback.
“I have received outstanding feedback globally,” Dr. Gwanmesia said. “Everyone is super excited and enthused about this. It is my hope that this book will create forums for continued conversations.
“”Embark on a journey with me, one that’s been long, but full of lessons learned and enjoyment amidst challenges,” Dr. Gwanmesia continued. “My life experiences have taught me that dwelling on the past impedes progress, so I choose to focus on the lessons. These challenges have fueled my passion as a global diversity champion, inspiring me to engage, educate, and empower individuals to embrace cultural differences as opportunities for personal and professional growth.”
