GOD’S GO-GETTER — Native Californian Tracy Hester-Glass is the architect of Get Up, Girl, Let’s Go: Getting Unstuck And Living Free, her sophomore written work that has been as good as advertised since it made it ceremonious debut in April 2022.

For Tracy Hester-Glass, that 21-day fast she entered in January 2021 would ultimately give way to a life-altering defining moments, of sorts.

“During the fast, I heard God ask me, ‘What are you going to do with the idea I gave you?’” Hester-Glass recalls. “I felt an urgency to move forward again. I reached out to a coach to hold me accountable, and I started two-year journey to publish my second book.”

The book to which she is alluding is Get Up, Girl, Let’s Go: Getting Unstuck And Living Free, Hester-Glass’ sophomore written work that has been as good as advertised since it made it ceremonious debut in April 2022.

A book that subsequently accompanied by Hester-Glass’ 12-week course Get Up Girl, Going Deeper empowerment course — “The course has a workbook, so actually, my original idea of having a workshops came to fruition,” she points out — the latest published work of this Hercules, California-based author comes a little more than four years after she made her authorship debut with the release of All Things New!: Discovering God’s Peace And Protection During Challenging Times.

FOR STARTERS — Hester-Glass in March 2018 made her authorship debut with the release of All Things New!: Discovering God’s Peace And Protection During Challenging Times.

Overwhelmed by pain, rejection, abandonment, she fell into a pit of despair and depression. A note from her daughter, pleading for her to survive, started this beloved Christian-based author on her healing journey, getting unstuck, and discovering her purpose.

“I got the concept for my second book in 2019, shortly after releasing my first book,” Hester-Glass told Making Headline News this week during its annual salute to Women’s History Month, which is recognized in March. “Initially, I didn’t think my idea would be a book. Instead, I thought it would be more of a workshop, a 12-session curriculum for women focused on spiritual growth, and getting unstuck in life so they could walk boldly into their purpose. I planned for the workshop sessions to be held at my home to offer a comfortable and engaging environment.”

As Hester-Glass has eventually discovered, God had other ideas, a development that would ultimately afford her the golden opportunity to savor the best of both worlds, courtesy of a new book and life-altering workshop.


“I wrote the book as a guide to give hope to women who have had to reset their lives during or after a relational pain or loss event,” Hester-Glass explained. “These events can include divorce, separation, grief, abuse, rejection, betrayal, and abandonment. After 24 years of marriage, I walked through a painful divorce. Every two weeks for two years, I traveled for over an hour to get prayer counseling. During this season of my life, God began to birth a passion in me to coach and mentor women.


“I never want a woman to feel she doesn’t have a resource to help encourage her when she goes through a challenging time,” Hester-Glass continued. “My book takes women on a journey to heal from emotional pain, rediscover their identity in Christ, and encourage them to go deeper in their relationship with God. God is the only Source to heal us from our past and present emotional pain.”
