For to this end, we toil and strive because we have our hope set on the living God, Who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:10)
GOD-APPOINTED ASSIGNMENT
All along, Cheryl Barnes Waters was fully persuaded that Almighty God was responsible for orchestrating such a fascinating, awe-inspiring arrangement.
“When I was informed of the opportunity to write my story, I knew it was a message from God who has spared me life to share and inspire other women,” Barnes Waters, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that would ultimately lead to her making her authorship debut. “By sharing my story, I have the potential to provide support, encouragement, and inspiration to other women who may resonate with my experiences.”
And it came to pass, a remarkably brilliant story that was eloquently carved out by Barnes Waters, a Brandywine, Maryland-based writer who can finally call herself a published author, considering she is one of 48 co-authors to grace the pages of Seeing Myself In HER Story: A Sister Circle Of Stories To Connect, Heal, and Push Us Through, fellow Maryland Visionary Author Tamika Paige’s highly-anticipated first anthology that will debut in the coming weeks.
As part of Making Headline News’ advance coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ inaugural Woman Evolve Conference September 14-16 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Barnes Waters spoke at length about how her fervent rise to emerge as an author comes amid humble beginnings.

“From the time of becoming a mother, woman, and wife and experiencing the rollercoaster of the ups and downs of love and marriage, internally, I became this person who harbored a lifetime of good and bad stories to share,” said Barnes Waters, explaining what fueled her desire to join Paige’s anthology. “Authoring this book was the best opportunity to express some of the day-to-day struggles that women should be informed about.”
Powered by Women’s History Month, the legwork for Seeing Myself In HER Story: A Sister Circle Of Stories To Connect, Heal, and Push Us Through commenced in January and took somewhere in the neighborhood of approximately six months to complete.
“It doesn’t matter where you are in life, Seeing Myself In HER Story offers inspiration to all readers,” said a spokesperson for Paige’s first anthology via Amazon.com. “The book greets every reader with testimonies that uplift, encourage, and act as a guide. From the trials and triumphs, to the transparent topics, the S.H.E. — She Has Experience — organization presents a book that is designed to help women continue a path of pushing through.

“The women in this book have been bonded and connected by sharing their truths, hearts, and stories of perseverance and were led in this effort by none-other-than CEO and Founder of Paige Group Inc., Tamika Paige.”
As Barnes Waters recalls, it took somewhere in the neighborhood of three months — “on and off,” she said — to complete her submission for Seeing Myself In HER Story, a project she entitled, The Sacrifices of A Woman.
“My message is to inspire, provide hope, and bring attention to the various challenges and contributions women have made throughout history and across different cultures,” Barnes Waters said of her chosen chapter. “It can shed light on the importance of recognizing and valuing women’s roles, experiences, and sacrifices within society.
“While it is essential to acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices women have made, it is equally important to promote gender equality, empower women, and create a world where women are not disproportionately burdened with sacrifices solely based on their gender,” Barnes Waters continued. “Women should have equal opportunities, support, and the freedom to pursue their goals and aspirations without sacrificing their well-being or personal fulfillment.”
To her credit, Barnes Waters has become the beneficiary of an array favorable feedback, describing it mostly as “surprised and excited.”
“I have received so much praise and excitement from my supporters who can’t wait to read it,” Barnes Waters told MHN. “Receiving positive feedback is not only a testament to my skills as a writer, but also a source of motivation to continue pursuing my passion for writing. It has inspired me to further develop my craft, explore new ideas, and connect with my audience on a deeper level. I have so many more experiences of life to share and give people hope for the future. This book is a transcend of the struggles of what women’s paths and triumphs of life have been like and continue to go through. God knows the plans he has for you, he plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give each one of us hope for the future.”
Now that her authorship debut has come full circle, Barnes Waters is already looking ahead to her sophomore book project.
And others afterwards, of course.
“I expect that this is just the beginning of my telling more stories. God has kept me for a purpose,” Barnes Waters said. “(There are) more (books) to come.”
Interestingly enough, Barnes Waters relishes the notion that her debut as an author aligns with the divine purpose for which God created her.
“It is an honor to partner with so many women who have been through so many different spectrums of life and I truly am blessed,” Barnes Waters said. “Collaborating and partnering with a group of women who have gone through various life experiences is enriching and inspiring. It provides an opportunity to learn from each other, share wisdom, and support one another on the journey of life.”
EMPOWERED TO EMPOWER
With the official book launch for Seeing Myself In HER Story looming, Barnes Waters said she is destined to expand her reading audience and empower the masses to purchase her newly-produced book, one she figures will greatly help advance the kingdom for years to come.
“I want to thank God for His Grace and Mercy for bringing me this far in life,” Barnes Waters said. “And my husband for being my greatest supporter and being a part of my life journey. I wholeheartedly appreciate what you have shown me and given me, true love, and happiness. My children have walked with me in my darkest days and are able to see the bright side of the tunnel with me. You all are my everything. I would not have become the woman with all the strength that I have gained over the years without you all.”
To God be the glory for orchestrating what could be suitably deemed a fascinating, awe-inspiring arrangement.
