I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 NIV)
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
By all accounts, what transpired a little more than a decade ago changed the overall landscape of Brenda Bell’s life.
Not just her life, but that of her beloved daughter whom, as Bell recalls, was brutally beaten and left for dead.
To Bell’s credit, though, while trying to make sense of it all, she wasted little time resorting to the very thing that customarily has brought her peace that surpasses understanding: prayer.
“I thought the power of prayer was the reason she was kept alive from a brutal assault after being beaten severely left for dead,” Bell told Making Headline News this week. “God’s mighty angels buffered the blows of the iron bar car wheel lock, which was used by at attacker for several minutes and tried to kill my daughter. Through the power of prayer, ever since she was a little girl, I would pray over her life and quote scriptures and anointed my children with oil and memorized Psalms on a daily basis. “

As Bell recalls, her daughter had been missing and was later discovered as “Jane Doe” in ICU hospital in Maryland’s Prince George’s County.
Various media reports, in fact, had reported Bell’s daughter missing, but she was later recognized by a nurse due through a birth mark description she disclosed to the local press.
More than a decade removed from arguably the darkest season of her life, Bell thought it necessary to compose a book that recalls her daughter’s near-death experience.
The Washington, D.C.- based author is the mastermind behind Miracle Jane Doe: From Tragedy To Triumph, a riveting, spiritually-empowering written work she began composing sometime in 2010 and finished by year’s end in 2022 after completing her undergraduate degree requirements.
A tear-jerking, life-altering book that is comprised of 126 pages, Bell’s Miracle Jane Doe: From Tragedy To Triumph vividly reminds her readers that it is one thing to encounter a traumatic event when you are the victim.

“It is another thing when your only daughter is left for dead, and all you have is faith to keep her alive,” said a spokesperson for Bell’s Miracle Jane Doe: From Tragedy To Triumph in a detailed synopsis of this writer’s book via Amazon.com.
“On one particular October night in 1997, Aisha left her family home to go clubbing with her so-called boyfriend and friends in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) area. The night seemed normal until her mother, Brenda, did not get a check-in call from her daughter by 2 a.m. As the hours kept going and going, Brenda grew more concerned, waiting to know if her daughter was safe.
“With phone call after phone call and prayer after prayer, Brenda’s world started to turn upside down as she desired to find her only daughter. Family, friends, police, TV news cameras, a nurse, and Almighty God all played a part in her journey to finding her missing daughter, but disappointments and temptations to extract revenge for the possible suspect(s). Be inspired, equipped, and empowered by the spiritual work of God as Brenda shares her eyewitness perspective of her daughter’s remarkable story.”
MAJOR MUST READ
As part of Making Headline News’ advance coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ inaugural Woman Evolve Conference September 14-16 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Bell spoke at length about how the disastrous, turbulent events surrounding her daughter had changed her life drastically.
For the rest of her life.
All things considered, though, this licensed and ordained preacher of the gospel can miraculously testify of the fact that amid her daughter’s brutal attack, two lives were saved, thus covered by the Blood of Jesus.
“My daughter had no memory of her attack,” Bell told MHN. “She was unknowingly two months pregnant when attack happened, but she and my grandson are healthy and doing fine.”
Since the release of Miracle Jane Doe: From Tragedy To Triumph, Bell has become the beneficiary of slew of rave reviews, particularly for exemplifying enough faith and courage to produce such an incredible book.
“My daughter had to learn to walk again, talk again, eat through a straw because her mouth was wired shut because of broken jaw,” Bell recalls.
Still, God was there to provide for Aisha a miraculous way of escape, an awe-inspiring development Bell, in all likelihood, will relish for the rest of her life.
“Special miracles are real,” Bell says without hesitation. “Angels are real.”
Indeed, they are, as evidenced by how God spared the life of her daughter.
Her only baby girl, to put it more precisely.
To God be the glory.
