She considers a field before she buys or accepts it — expanding her business prudently — with her profits, she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16 Amplified Bible)
CHANGING A GENERATION
With all due respect, Sherryda Burnett is only keeping it real.
“No more fish plates for sale to bury our loved ones,” Burnett, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining the notable developments that inspired her to spearhead her featured business endeavor.
That to which Burnett is alluding is her credible business venture as a Mid-South-area licensed insurance sales agent for HealthMarkets Insurance Agency, Inc., a rising line of work that has brought her a considerable amount of success.
Sustained success, to put it more precisely.
As part of Making Headline News’ national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ inaugural Woman Evolve Conference September 14-16 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Burnett spoke at length about what fueled her desire to start a business she senses is a massive answer to an ongoing problem, particularly amongst African-American families.
“My purpose is to help people get coverage and life insurance,” Burnett told MHN.
Generally, Burnett’s insurance company has become a fixture for offering affordable health insurance for low-income, self-employed, and employee, the Memphis-based businesswoman said.
In addition, her company customarily services individuals and groups ranging in ages 18-to-65. Also, she offers Medicare to individuals over 65 years of age.
“People need to know that they must get life insurance on your family members,” Burnett said. “Also on your business partner, you must get key person insurance.”
What’s even more astounding, Burnett acknowledged is that her progressive insurance endeavor has afforded her golden opportunities to cross paths with people from various walks of life, all the while helping to enhance their lives in the process.
One life at a time.
