TEXAS COMING OUT PARTY
DALLAS — Much to her delight, it wasn’t long after Ja’Niyah Adams had started her business endeavor in her stomping ground of Detroit that she began to reap a considerable amount of success.
Now, as a relatively newcomer to Dallas/Fort Worth, Adams and her family are devising ways to help her build a solid clientele in the Lone Star state.
Adams, 11, is owner of Niyah Monique, LLC, her rising venture that is widely known for creating handcrafted hair bows and lip gloss.
Suitably known as “Niyah,” Adams’ entrepreneurial ambition is something by which this Plano ISD sixth grade student had endeavored to accomplish for some time.

During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Adams’ mother, Sha-Ron McGore, said her daughter — whom she appropriately dubs a “girly girl” — has had a knack for fashion for as long as she can recall.
A business Adams established in Michigan amid the global pandemic, this gifted kid entrepreneur witnessed Niyah Monique, LLC instantly soar to immeasurable heights, given consumers could purchase her products at a kiosk in Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills.
To her credit, Adams would customarily host pop-up shops, a trend that helped her venture quickly evolve to one of the finest of its kind in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Now a little more than a year removed from having relocated to DFW, Adams hopes to establish solid business relationships with residents in Texas, where people here conventionally do things big.

“Niyah Monique had 10-to-12 vendors in Michigan that we worked with to build a brand,” McGore told MHN. “Before Niyah Monique moved to Texas, she had a kiosk in Great Lakes Mall where bows were sold. When she was at the mall, kids would stop by the kiosk and be so amazed that a girl her age was running her own store and it inspired us to want to help other kids do the same thing. That’s what made us start hosting young entrepreneur pop-up shops. The last pop-up shop was at Oakland Mall with 12 vendors, all under the age of 17. Now that Niyah is in Texas, we would like to show kids that they can be whatever they want to be in life, and it can start at a young age.”
OMG-ALLERY OF BOWS
McGore relocated to this area from Detroit last summer for a better job opportunity.
While she and her family essentially are new residents to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, she doesn’t shy away from the notion that with proper exposure and visibility, her daughter’s business can become just as successful as it was back home.
By all accounts, McGore is hopeful DFW media outlets will become enlightened about her daughter’s inspiring entrepreneurial journey, one that, as a result, has empowered other youngsters to start businesses.
IN HER ELEMENT
“Niyah gets the opportunity to be a role model to kids in her age group,” said McGore, explaining what her daughter loves the most about her business.
Interestingly enough, Adams will soon host her first pop-up shop in the DFW area, her mother said. An event that is currently in the works, McGore said in the meantime, her daughter is seeking to partner with area business owners under 18 years of age, or kids who aspire to start businesses.
Currently, Adams mostly spreads word about her business via Instagram and by routinely interacting with other kids at her school.
Since the inception of Niyah Monique, LLC, Adams’ venture has garnered a national presence and customarily services individuals ranging from ages one-to-late teens.
“My mom and dad always pushed me to be good at whatever I wanted to do in life,” Adams said. “I have younger siblings that are looking up to me, so they are my inspiration.”
After expressing her fervent desire to start a business that customarily offers her signature hair bows and lip gloss, Adams’ parents subsequently wasted little time making what undoubtedly was a worthy investment into their daughter’s future.
Talk about placing a figurative bow over their precious gift of a daughter whom, to her credit, has made some remarkably brilliant strides since her company went into operations.
Now it’s time to do it big in Texas.
