She sets about her work vigorously. Her arms are strong for her tasks. (Proverbs 31:17/NIV)
AND IT CAME TO PASS
Dessa Johnson late Friday afternoon hastened to social media, where she displayed a rather riveting, delightful post, one that figures to impact her life for years to come.
Said Johnson before her nearly 1,000 followers via Facebook:
Just look at this. I am a first-time author, and I will not be stopping here. Please help support me and please share it with all your friends and family. This is just the beginning of my story.
And what a remarkably memorable story it is for Johnson, a Cambridge, Maryland-based neophyte author whose professional writing debut has finally come full circle by way of Injustice Volume II: Empowered By Dr. Iris Wright, a highly-anticipated anthology that is currently in the production’s final stages and is scheduled to debut March 8, which is recognized annually as International Women’s Day.

The second edition of Injustice Volume comes a little less than one year after Dr. Wright’s debut volume of her collaborative book project.
An anthology that is comprised of six co-authors, the legwork for Dr. Wright’s Injustice Volume II began in August, a book that is scheduled to be officially completed in the coming weeks.
Presales orders for Johnson’s book are currently available.
For Johnson, her fervent rise to gracing the pages of a published book for the very first time comes amid humble beginnings, something she doesn’t merely take for granted.
As Johnson explained, she deemed it essential to compose the chapter entitled, Fragile, But Not Broken, the Vancouver, Washington native told Making Headline News as part of its advance national media coverage for Bishop T. D. Jakes 2024 International Leadership Summit from Dallas March 21-23.
In essence, Johnson offers a great deal of transparency surrounding statutory rape.
“I have always thought about writing my story, but just didn’t know where to start,” Johnson said. “So, I never did until a friend of mine led me into it. I had always dreamed about it, and then the opportunity was basically just handed to me.”
Much to her delight, Johnson was determined to fully embrace the notion of emerging as a first-time published author head on.
Mission accomplished, given she is just weeks away from achieving her long-awaited milestone.

“This is my first book,” Johnson said. “I really wanted to put my story out there to reach out to young teens who may be headed into (a similar situation I faced).”
When asked what divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through Injustice Volume II, Johnson said:
“The drive is to send the message about statutory rape and what it can lead to.”
GOD’S FAITH-STEPPER
For what it’s worth, Johnson doesn’t shy away from the notion that she is forever grateful she steadfastly took a leap of faith by diligently exemplifying her immeasurable gifts as a first-time author.
A massive leap of faith, to put it more precisely.
“This book has (inspired) me to tell my story and reach out to more than just those who know me,” Johnson told MHN. “It was meant for me to get my story out there.”
Mission accomplished, given she is just weeks away from achieving her long-awaited milestone.
