And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming — it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. (Habakkuk 2:2-3/MSG)
CRUISING TOWARDS HER DESTINY
As Deneasha Jefferson vividly recalls, she was en route to a ministry engagement back on March 4, 2023.
Never mind that she essentially glanced at her mobile device while driving.
All that matters, quite frankly, is that Jefferson arrived safely to the destination — this after the Holy Spirit had miraculously showed up in the comfortable confines of her vehicle.
“I was riding in the car headed to a ministry engagement and decided to scroll Facebook,” Jefferson during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding her debut as a first-time author. “I stumbled upon Dr. Iris Wright’s post looking for 50 passionate homecare providers to tell their stories.”

By Jeffersons standards, that was just the breakthrough she sensed she needed to share with the masses her life-altering story.
“I was instantly drawn to the post and sent her a DM inquiring more details on the project,” Jefferson recalls. “We exchanged numbers and began discussions on what her vision and dream were for this collaboration, and I was sold. Once our conversation was done, I was so excited. I prayed about it and asked my husband his thoughts and he was in full agreement, so I signed up and began my journey as a first-time collaborative author.”
And just like that, Jefferson, a rising Chesapeake, Virginia-based writer, had emerged as one of 13 co-authors who has graced the pages of Home Care Around The Globe Volume I, Dr. Wright’s anthology that will make its ceremonious debut March 9 amid International Women’s Day.

Generally, Home Care Around The Globe Volume I is endeavored in large part to serve as a movement, of sorts, one designed to educate, empower, collaborate, and innovate together.
To her credit, Jefferson penned the designated chapter entitled, Anna’s Care, for an anthology that is currently in its production’s final stages.
Presale orders for the book are effectively underway. Jefferson’s book can be purchased by contacting her via https://www.annascare.net/ or by sending email to [email protected].
As part of Making Headline News’ advance national media coverage for Bishop T. D. Jakes 2024 International Leadership Summit from Dallas March 21-23, Jefferson said her strategic vision for joining Dr. Wright’s third book collaboration is because she had become inspired shared with her readers the significance of entrepreneurship.
“Entrepreneurship isn’t easy,” Jefferson said. “Most times, people think entrepreneurs have a lot of money and they live oh so wonderful lives without stress and frustration. Yes, I love being an entrepreneur. I would not change that aspect for anything, but its challenging and rewarding at the same time. I wanted to share my journey of how it took me over a decade to open my own homecare business, hoping to inspire someone to never give up on their dreams, no matter how long it takes. I wanted to show that even though the homecare industry is overpopulated that we aren’t competitors. We are servants for the aging and disabled population of people and its ok to work together.”
A native of Chesapeake, Jefferson is founder and CEO of Anna’s Care, a family-oriented non-medical home care agency. Family-oriented, her Jefferson’s standards, means “I pride myself in hiring the best team members that you can trust,” the accomplished businesswoman said in a detailed synopsis of her company via https://www.annascare.net/.
Such an approach, she acknowledged, guarantees that her agency stays committed to its client’s health, quality of life, and well-being.
Having worked in the medical field for over 13 years, Jefferson has gained a wealth of experience working with a local Medicaid HMO in the Chesapeake, which has afforded her the luxury of supporting long-term care clients with service authorizations.
ADVANCING THE KINGDOM
As for her fervent rise as a neophyte author, Jefferson is forever grateful to God for strategically opening a door when she least expected it.
“With God, anything is possible,” Jefferson said. “Sometimes, we want things and God won’t give it to us right away because it’s not the right time or season for us to receive it. But don’t give up…continue to be faithful, patient, and intentional during your season of waiting. God will do it.”
Indeed, He has for Jefferson, who’s convinced her quest of becoming an author aligns with the purpose God has for her life.
“I love to help people,” Jefferson said. “I have always been a helper or volunteer, even growing up. I feel a sense of fulfillment making others happy. I have a heart for people that are sick or can’t do for themselves the way others can. I feel as it’s my duty to not turn my head, but to lend a hand.”
What a difference March 4, 2023 has made.
