I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14/NIV)
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Dr. Sandra W. Pack’s initial response was “No.”
Nevertheless, God said, “Yes.”
And, if God said it, that settles it.
“I was approached in 2009 to write a book,” Dr. Pack, a Sumter, South Carolina-based author, told Making Headline News this week.
The book to which Dr. Pack is referring is Blessed, Bold & Beautiful, her highly-anticipated written work that kicked off her authorship debut.

As part of Making Headline News’ national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Second Annual Woman Evolve Conference that takes place September 26-28 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Pack recalled how the memorable developments surrounding her first book are centered in large part on her doctoral journey and dissertation.
“Writing led me through different paths and answered my doubts about writing a book when I least expected,” Dr. Pack said. “Writing a book is indeed a significant endeavor, requiring dedication and perseverance. My experience with my doctoral dissertation and military life provided valuable insights and skills that supported my vision and decision to write a book.”
A well-respected United States Army veteran whose military stint dates back to 1983, Dr. Pack’s Be Blessed, Be Bold, Be Beautiful appropriately invites readers into what this author deems “the intimate tapestry of my life,” — a trend that is woven with beliefs instilled since her youth, where faith and purpose guided every step, according to a detailed synopsis of her book via https://www.drswpack.com/.
“Surrounded by family warmth, I ventured into unexplored avenues,” Dr. Pack explained. “Balancing daily demands with passion, I explore the significance of relationships and the power of positivity in achieving personal and professional goals. This narrative is a testament to faith, self-belief, and familial support, inspiring readers to pursue their aspirations boldly and with unwavering positivity.”

When asked what fueled her drive to compose a book that is as good as advertised, Dr. Pack was rather forthright, fielding the questions as if she expected it.
“I felt I had more to say,” Dr. Pack said. “I wanted to step out of my security box and jump into the deep end to see what would happen. Writing a book was a way to distill experiences and perspectives into a cohesive narrative or series of ideas that could benefit others about my journey.”
Dr. Pack began constructing Be Blessed, Be Bold, Be Beautiful in December 2023, needing somewhere in the neighborhood of six months to complete her awe-inspiring masterpiece (she finished the book last month).
To her credit, her newly-released project is nothing short of incredible.
“Life’s journey is indeed filled with obstacles, and not everyone may be supportive along the way,” said Dr. Pack, explaining the divine message she’s aiming to send through her book. “However, your belief in yourself and your faith can serve as steadfast anchors that guide you through challenges and toward your goals and aspirations. Be encouraged, stay the course, and know that God’s unwavering presence will provide the strength needed to persevere.”
PACKING SUCCESS
As for whether she plans to spearhead other books, Dr. Pack said a sophomore project is forthcoming, “probably next year,” she told MHN, adding that she’s scheduled for speaking engagements to promote her new book at Sumter’s Mount Olive AME Church and Mount Olive Baptist in nearby Gadsen, South Carolina.
“God showed me that through my experiences, I am undoubtedly equipped with invaluable lessons, resilience, and wisdom that can inspire and guide others facing similar challenges or embarking on their own paths,” Dr. Pack, a native of Sumter, said. “I could impart not just knowledge but also mentorship and encouragement. Sharing personal stories, lessons learned, and insights gained can resonate deeply with readers who may find themselves in similar situations or seeking guidance from someone who has walked a similar path.
“My first response was, ‘No.’”
Nevertheless, Almighty God had other ideas.
