Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58/NIV)
PASSION & PURPOSE
Curtis K. Robinson is thoroughly enjoying how his journey as a first-time published author is going.
“I have only been a co-author,” Robinson told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “I do not have any published books yet, but I aim to write my own book soon.”
In the meantime, though, the East Orange, New Jersey native would be the first to admit he doesn’t take lightly the door God has opened on his behalf, most notably as one of 10 co-authors who has graced the pages of Nursing Is Our Passion: “WE CAN’T QUIT!,” the highly-anticipated anthology that is spearheaded by Visionary Author Avalon S. Brown.
“I wrote my story in this book because I wanted people to know about hard work and perversity and how you don’t have to go to college and get a degree to advance in your job or career,” said Robinson, whose tenure in the medical field spans some 25-plus years. “External factors like money and prestige become less of an important driver. I want to make people aware that finding the work you love makes all the difference in achieving success. When you love your job, you go that extra mile. Loving your career is one concept people globally can be inspired by.”

An informative, riveting written work that is comprised of 119 pages, this anthology brings together inspiring stories from nurses across various specialties showcasing their resilience and dedication that fuels their noble profession, according to detailed synopsis of Brown’s book via Amazon.com.
“Each (co-author) wrote a chapter of their challenges in nursing and why they never let these challenges make them quit. And encouraging words for the next generation of nurses,” said an Amazon spokesperson Nursing Is Our Passion: “WE CAN’T QUIT! “For you will be amazed at the struggles of these nurses and how their passion for the profession, kept them going.”

As Robinson recalls, he was approached in July with the golden opportunity to become a first-time published author. Approximately a month later, his long-awaited dream had become a reality.
What’s even more astounding is the results have been favorable for Robinson since the debut of Nursing Is Our Passion.
“I have received nothing but positive reviews for this story,” Robinson told MHN. “People have come to me to tell me how much they like my story and that it inspired them. The hospital’s CEO even wanted a signed copy.”
When asked what divine message he’s aiming to send to his reading audience through Nursing Is Our Passion, Robinson said:
“When a person never gives up their dreams, even though they don’t finish college, it doesn’t keep them from having the ambition to rise through the ranks and achieve a senior leadership position despite what the naysayers say. Regardless of what they had to say, I proved them wrong. That’s why you should never listen to others speak about what you can and cannot achieve in life.”
Additional books, Robinson said, are on the horizon.
“Yes, I will be a co-author of an audiobook that will be coming out soon,” said Robinson, referring to the written entitled, I Thought I Was Dead.” The audiobook will be testimonies of individuals who have survived medical emergencies, abuse, sexual assault, abduction, etc.”
IN HIS DIVINE ELEMENT
Continued Robinson:
“My work is the dedication that I am referring to. The job that I do is my passion. I love my work, and that is what motivated me to go in on my day off. I didn’t have to do it, but I thought there was a patient on the table who needed my help and the doctor. I could have said I was busy and couldn’t make it and asked another person. I could have told one of the other employees on the phone what to do.
“However, I completed it myself because working in the medical field is my passion. Going in myself and knowing what the doctor needed prevented further patient procedure delays. It’s a rewarding feeling when you know that you have made a difference in someone’s life, no matter what challenge you faced for the day. These types of rewards in the medical field motivate me to keep going and not quit.”
