KINGDOM CONNECTIONS

To her distinctly unique credit, Mellisa Patterson’s entrepreneurial track record is such that she is destined to routinely exceed her expectations.
“My competitive drive has always pushed me to go the extra mile, and that same mindset has fueled my business success,” Patterson said. “Whether it was excelling in school, sports, or personal challenges, I’ve never been satisfied with just enough. That hunger for growth translated directly into my business. When others saw obstacles, I saw opportunities.”
Much to her delight, Patterson has thoroughly embraced virtually every golden opportunity that has surfaced ever since this accomplished faith-based businesswoman delved into the ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship.
In kicking off Making Headline News’ national media coverage ahead of Bishop T. D. Jakes’ 2025 International Leadership Summit April 10-12 from Orlando, Florida, Patterson spoke at length about the sustained success she has inherited as the mastermind behind Bekhiri Wealth Academy, Bekhiri Active, and The Kingdom Creative podcast.

A native of Jamaica who was raised in Toronto, Ontario, Patterson’s fervent rise to entrepreneurial prosperity comes amid humble beginnings, something she doesn’t merely lightly.
“In launching my brand, I didn’t just aim to participate in the industry. I aimed to dominate it,” Patterson told MHN. “I studied the competition, identified gaps, and positioned myself as the go to expert. The drive to outwork, outlearn, and out serve others has helped me scale faster, secure high-value clients, and stay ahead of trends.”
Moreover, Patterson acknowledged, it is due in large part to her entrepreneurial competition that has enabled her to steadfastly sharpen her resilience, strategy, and her keen ability to pivot when necessary.
“And in business, that’s the difference between surviving and thriving,” Patterson said. “What I love most about my business is the fact that I get to serve others above anything else — that’s what I do best. It’s not just about making money or hitting goals. It’s about impact. Whether I’m helping someone protect their family with insurance, guiding them in their faith journey, or teaching them how to build wealth online, I know I’m walking in my purpose.”
In a nutshell, Patterson emphasized, she doesn’t shy away from the notion that whenever she makes it a point to take care of God’s business, He, in turn, takes care of hers.
“That mindset has been the foundation of my success,” Patterson explained. “When I show up with a heart to serve, God always provides the increase, whether it’s new clients, unexpected opportunities, or the right connections at the right time. At the end of the day, my business isn’t just a job. It’s a kingdom assignment, and that’s what keeps me going.”
LEADING THE CHARGE

A graduate of Jamaica’s Anchovy High School, Patterson acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology & Christian Counseling from Canada Christian College, this after she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Banking and Financial Services from Everest College and a similar diploma in Business Administration from Teach Me University.
Having also acquired an undergraduate degree in Data Analytics and Project Management, Patterson is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree.
A trio of ventures that routinely service individuals and groups ranging in ages 0-to-85, Patterson’s unparalleled entrepreneurial endeavors are steadily attracting a widespread international presence, given she is licensed in more than 40 states.
“Which means I’ve had the opportunity to serve clients from coast-to-coast,” Patterson, a longtime insurance broker and Christian influencer, said. “Before the pandemic, I was constantly traveling, meeting clients in different states, and making sure families were protected face-to-face. But when everything shifted virtually, so did I. Now, I can serve even more people without leaving my home. And the best part? I’m still making the same impact, just in a different way.
“Whether I’m working with a family in Texas, a business owner in California, or a young professional in New York, I love that I can meet people where they are physically or virtually and help them secure their future.”
GOD-ORDERED STEPS

As for her personal mission for functioning in her divine element as an esteemed entrepreneur, Patterson acknowledged such a trend is rather therapeutic in many aspects.
“My personal mission for doing this work is simple: to serve, uplift, and empower others in every way God has called me to,” said Patterson while referencing Matthew 6:33. “Whether it’s through worship, fitness, financial protection, or digital entrepreneurship, my goal is to help people live in the fullness of what God has for them spiritually, physically, and financially. I truly believe that when we take care of God’s business, He takes care of ours.”
Appropriately and eloquently acknowledged by this brilliantly gifted businesswoman, one whose entrepreneurial track record is such that she is destined to always exceed her expectations.
