All things considered, the defining moment surrounding Demarcus Brewster’s life surfaced sometime in 2019.

“(It was in) 2019 was when the vision came to me to write this book,” Brewster told Making Headline News as part of its national media coverage ahead of Bishop T. D. Jakes’ 2025 International Leadership Summit April 10-12 from Orlando, Florida.

The book to which Brewster is referring is From The Hood To The Church, his featured written work that has set off a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms since its August 2019 release.

“I wanted people to understand what I went through in my life to help them overcome what they may be going through in their life,” Brewster, a San Antonio, Texas-based author, said, explaining what fueled his drive to compose a book that has been as good as advertised.

An informative, fascinating book that is comprised of 51 pages, Brewster’s From The Hood To The Church, by all accounts, has been suitably dubbed a book inspired by true events this faith-based writer experienced throughout his life, as mentioned via Amazon.com.

“It entails how God delivered me from situations I faced and how I became the person I am today,” Brewster writes via Amazon.com.

Not only that, Brewster tells his readers, among other things, that come hell or high water, “Your past doesn’t define you and you can do anything you put your mind to, as long as it is positive.”

For his valiant efforts, Brewster has become the beneficiary of an assortment of rave reviews.

“(People have told me) the book is powerful, inspiring, and heartfelt,” Brewster said. “(Some say) it brought them to tears.”

A native of Brooklyn, Illinois, Brewster witnessed his authorship debut come full circle in November 2022 with the release of Dad, Where Is My Fish. Consequently, he released Diamond And The Baby Husky, his sophomore written work, this past year.

And, just recently, Brewster’s third book made its presence on the market, this one entitled, From The Hood To The Church Part 2: Why I Chose Spirituality Over Religion.
