Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you. But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13/NKJV)
LIVING IN ADUNDANCE

DALLAS — Take a look, if you will, at Cecily Elaine Shelton’s cover images via her Facebook page.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage ahead of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Third Annual Woman Evolve Conference July 31 through August 2 from Atlanta, Georgia, Shelton, a Memphis-based author, said her 2023-released book — which kicked off her authorship debut — comes amid Thanksgiving 2021, during which she strategically dedicated time to compiling notes for what has become a published masterpiece.
“I took out my notes and computer to organize the thought I had written on paper,” Shelton recalls. “Then…the season changed, as I call it, and I stayed in bed from Friday, November 19, 2021, until Friday, November 26, 2021. I did not start writing again until 2022.”
As Shelton vividly recalls, it had taken her three years to construct a Living Through the Pain: Enduring The Loss of A Loved One book that is as good as advertised.
“I could not understand why it took two additional years to complete the book when I had notes for most of the content,” Shelton, a native Memphian, told MHN. “The book was not complete because my story was not complete. I thought I had learned to live through the pain, but it was only a portion of the story. Now that I have done the work it is time to help others.”
A spiritually-empowering gem that is comprised of 85 pages, Shelton’s Living Through the Pain: Enduring The Loss of A Loved One, by all accounts, addresses the significance of living through pain after a significant loss of a loved one, according to detailed synopsis of this author’s book via Amazon.com.
“Pain will come, and trials and tribulations are inevitable,” Shelton writes via Amazon.com. “Nevertheless, you can find purpose in your pain.”

More specifically, Shelton emphasized Living Through The Pain was written to help readers understand child loss, normalize grief, and offer strategies to live through the pain.
“What makes Living Through The Pain unique and valuable is that it is based on my own personal experience of grieving the loss of my own child, sharing how I finally opened my heart to turn the pain into a journey of blessing others,” Shelton explained. “I share my story with honesty, vulnerability, and courage, hoping to inspire others who have gone through similar ordeals. I also share the lessons I learned along the way, the tools I used to cope and heal, and the resources I found helpful and supportive. My book is not only a memoir, but also a guide, a companion, and a friend for anyone who needs it.”
Shelton continued her authorship journey with by releasing her sophomore book, BE-lieve, an awe-inspiring journal that is comprised of what she deems, “action steps, intentions, and reflections” all of which allow others to heal, while living though the pain.
Shelton’s latest book, The Language of Grief from A to Z, is scheduled to debut this month, June at the latest, she announced.
