Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. (Psalm 100:4/KJV)
‘YOU BEEN GOOD’ AS ADVERTISED

Much to her delight, My’kia Brooks-Blue has been diligently serving the Lord with gladness, thus steadfastly coming before His presence with singing.
Ever since she was the tender age of five.
“Watching my father, who made music his life, inspired me to want to do music,” Brooks-Blue vividly recalls. “Also, because (praise and worship comes) naturally as a gift, I knew I was called to ministry. Whether it was preaching, singing, or songwriting I want to be able to glorify God with music.”
To her distinctly unique, Brooks-Blue has gone to great lengths to lift up Jesus Christ through her remarkably immeasurable gifts as a rising psalmist, most notably by way of You Been Good, her highly-anticipated gospel single that has created a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage ahead of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Third Annual Woman Evolve Conference July 31 through August 2 from Atlanta, Brooks-Blue, 33, said she felt greatly inspired to manufacture her latest music project in large part because of all the times God has provided for her a way of escape amid life’s toughest of obstacles.

“(What I like the most about the new single) is that I was blessed to be able to surpass challenges,” Brooks-Blue, a St. Louis-based psalmist and faith leader, told MHN. “I’m allowing this song that I wrote to grow me and open up doors that only God can open. I also enjoyed the journey of being around other musical geniuses who played a huge part in this new single.”

Given God’s manual enlightens us that God is no Respecter of persons (Acts 10:34), it’s safe to assume Brooks-Blue’s newly-release gospel track is starting to grasp the attention of infants, most notably two familiar individuals who could suitably dubbed her pride and joy.
“God doesn’t have perspective ages,” Brooks-Blue said. “My daughters are three-years-old and two-years-old and, when they heard my single, they had an instant response. God can speak to anyone willing.”
The Blytheville, Arkansas native remains prayerful that her new single will be a huge blessing to others, particularly during these perilous times.
To her credit, it seems such an endeavor has already come to fruition, given the widespread outpour of support Brooks-Blue has garnered since You Been Good made its ceremonious debut.
“My personal mission (for this project) is always to remember this is ministry,” Brooks-Blue said. “Even with the next single, my goal is to serve God and allow Him to have complete control. I’ve had the luxury of doing ministry and preaching since I was five years old. Even being a pastor in Blytheville, Arkansas, for eight years before I moved to Saint Louis, Missouri five years ago. Now, I think that God is going to allow my musical gift to take me further than I’ve ever been.”
HOW GREAT THOU ART

Having encountered an upbringing that was routinely centered on attending regular church services, coupled with strict Biblical principles, Brooks-Blue doesn’t shy away from the notion that it was due in large part to her valiant supporters that she has been blessed mightily to put on display her assortment of musical gifts.
As unto the Lord, to put it more precisely.
“My parents (are my biggest supporters) because this is their legacy that they started with me and my siblings,” Brooks-Blue said. “Next is my husband, who is my manager and has been my biggest support since I moved to St. Louis. Thirdly, Rill Noize, who is my producer. He took a small-town girl and brought what God has given me to life. Lastly, the wisdom that I’ve received from those who have heard my music and poured into me who is where I’m looking forward to going within music.”
All the while diligently serving the Lord with gladness, thus coming before His presence with singing in the process.
“I remember the day that my parents heard me sing for the first time. My dad instantly put me in church,” Brooks-Blue told MHN. “I’m a representative of Christ. It’s my charge from Christ that I do according to Romans 12:1-2. Some people need God or don’t know Him, so when they listen to my music, I want them to feel the power of God and the conviction of wanting to be saved.”
Because after all, He’s surely been good.
