St. Louis author Prophetess Deborah Allen displaying unshakable faith through her book ‘Fierce’

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV)

FIERCE KIND OF FAITH

BUT GOD!!! A St. Louis-area Pastor, Prophetess Deborah Allen’s “Fierce” was released amid what was seemingly a trying season in the life of this devout woman of faith. Amongst the reasons is that when God had strategically given Allen instructions to compose her new book, it happened during a time in which her husband, Bishop Glen Allen Sr., had been hospitalized due to an ongoing back pain, as well as an abnormal X-ray and a possible infection in his kidney.

DALLAS — The enemy tried all he could to toss shade in her direction.

Still, Prophetess Deborah Allen was determined to stand toe-to-toe and outlast the adversary the best was she knew how — with the written word of God which, to her credit, had come wrapped up in an awe-inspiring book.
“God first gave me the vision for this book as I was driving home the end of December 2016,” Allen told Making Headline News this week.
The book to which Allen is alluding is her relatively new project entitled, “Fierce,” which officially debuted in May 2018.

A book that is comprised of 176 pages in length, Allen acknowledged that this spiritually-empowering book, by all accounts, reinforces her spiritual gifts, one of which is the gift of laying on hands and declaring healing upon the live of God’s people.

Amongst the reasons is that when God had strategically given Allen instructions to compose her new book, it happened during a time in which her husband, Bishop Glen Allen Sr., had been hospitalized due to an ongoing back pain, as well as an abnormal X-ray and a possible infection in his kidney.

“However, we learned he had stage four cancer and it had been growing inside his body undetected for about seven years,” Prophetess Allen recalled. “This was a complete shock and stage four chronic lymphocytic leukemia. As I was driving home, I was talking to God about how hard my life seemed to be, that it had been nothing but a battle. God showed me that from the beginning He was with me.”

THIS IS HOLY GROUND

ON GOD’S BATTLEFIELD — Widely regarded throughout the Body of Christ as a fierce, dynamic, and powerful woman of God, Prophetess Allen currently serves as Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries of God Church, a stint she’s held for the past two decades.

Indeed He was — and still is.

How else to explain why “Fierce” has been dubbed a “powerful, spirit-filled book” since its much-anticipated a little more than a year ago?

“The Lord breathed upon this book and filled it with a fresh wind,” said a spokesperson for Allen’s “Fierce” in a detailed breakdown of this book at Amazon.com. “Fierce was a God-inspired book as it was being written. God’s yoke-destroying anointing was loosed as this book was being penned. God’s spirit and anointing also flows as you are reading this book. Fierce prepares, instructs, and pushes the believer to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand. Stand in the Lord and be fierce.”

A book that is comprised of 176 pages in length, Allen acknowledged that this spiritually-empowering book, by all accounts, reinforces her spiritual gifts, one of which is the gift of laying on hands and declaring healing upon the live of God’s people.

“He blessed me to have the gift of healing in my hands,” Allen said. “God has sustained my husband and prayer has kept him. This is the season for God’s people to walk fiercely in him.”

Widely regarded throughout the Body of Christ as a fierce, dynamic, and powerful woman of God, Prophetess Allen currently serves as Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries of God Church, a stint she’s held for the past two decades.

In addition, she serves as Executive Director the L.A.M. Ministries Inc. nonprofit organization, has been married to Bishop Allen for more than 22 years, and is the mother of six children.

In addition, she serves as Executive Director the L.A.M. Ministries Inc. nonprofit organization, has been married to Bishop Allen for more than 22 years, and is the mother of six children.

Widely known also as a millionaire childcare coach, Prophetess Allen is an accomplished entrepreneur, who is the director of Little Lights Childcare and Learning Center, a St. Louis-area facility that has been in operation for 10 years.

As for “Fierce,” Prophetess Allen is appreciative of the notion that this book has opened “so many doors that I could never imagine,” she said without hesitation.

“This book has opened global doors for me,” said Prophetess Allen, alluding to her Fierce TV Show and Fierce Radio. “I have been featured internationally, because of this book. My God…who would have known that ‘Fierce’ would become such a movement in my life and the lives of many others everywhere? I’m simply amazed.”

As she should, especially considering aside from her husband’s physical challenges, Prophetess Allen can testify of the fact that God has blessed her to survive her very own season in the wilderness.

SEASON THE REBIRTH — Given the immeasurable strides she’s made in recent years — both in the natural and the spirit — it’s obviously this devout woman of faith has been armed with the kind of faith that was accompanied by a great deal of FIERCE.

“I’ve been through molestation, an abusive first marriage, I was a battered wife, teenage mother, and countless things, yet God has birthed His purpose out of my life for His divine glory,” Prophetess said. “As a leader, I want people to know that you can live, grow, and build, despite your life’s circumstances. Jesus is able to heal, deliver, and sustain us during every season of our lives and we are fierce in Him. My book is a testimony of strength, endurance, and encouragement through the Lord.”

So much for all that shade the adversary had tossed her direction.

And, given the immeasurable strides she’s made in recent years — both in the natural and the spirit — it’s obviously this devout woman of faith has been armed with the kind of faith that was accompanied by a great deal of FIERCE.

Missouri author Roxanne Potter flexing her spiritual muscles, courtesy of her empowering books

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV)

THE POTTER’S TOUCH

GOD’S THE POTTER, SHE’S THE CLAY — A Mount Vernon, Missouri-based author who is a licensed minister, as well as the Founder of Roxanne Potter Ministries, Incorporated, Roxanne Potter’s has written two books to date, both of which are indicative of the immeasurable strides she’s made since she has sold out completely to God.

DALLAS — In a rather appropriate way of playing off words, Roxanne Potter was determined to do it afraid for such a time as this.

A time during which God was strategically using her for His glory.

“Four years ago, God laid it on my heart to share parts of my testimony,” Potter, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said of her vision to compose her first book entitled, “For Such A Time As This.”

“And two years ago, God laid it on my heart to write my first journey through cancer,” said Potter, alluding to her second written work entitled, “Do It Afraid.”

A book that is comprised 74 pages, Potter’s “For Such A Time As This” was officially released on January 26, 2016 and is centered largely on Roxanne’s journey to finding what she’s deemed her “God moment,” according to a detailed introduction of this book at https://www.amazon.com/Such-Time-as-This/dp/1512727148.

Released on June 8, 2017, Potter’s “Do It Afraid” is an 80-page written document that recalls this Christian-based writer’s assortment of life-altering experiences with breast cancer, particularly how she was determined not to allow it to have her.

“She conquered it with God’s help,” said a spokesperson for Potter’s “Do It Afraid” in a thorough breakdown at https://www.amazon.com/Do-Afraid-Roxanne-Potter/dp/1633082717. “She did everything that she knew would irritate the devil and pleases the Lord. She became a warrior. Her prayer is that as you read this book, you will find tips and tools to help you overcome fear and be equipped in whatever battle that you may be facing.”

As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through her books, Potter wasted little time being rather forthright and direct.

Or, in a rather appropriate way of playing off words, this devout woman of faith was determined to do it afraid for such a time as this.

“Don’t give up,” Potter said with such authority. “Don’t give up on God. No matter what you have been through and what you are going though, it does not define you and you do not have to remain a victim, but you can be victorious through Jesus Christ.”

Much to her delight and to her credit, the feedback since the ceremoniously release of her books have been favorable.

“Lots of faith, hope, and inspiration birthed out of these books and always in demand,” Potter said. “And with the transparency of both books, people have absolutely loved it and said it made them feel they can achieve too.”

IT’S A GOOD — Much to her delight and to her credit, the feedback since the ceremoniously release of her books have been favorable.

For Potter, amongst the things about which she’s convinced is that her spiritually-empowering books undoubtedly are signs of things to come.

“(I want) To help many women and young ladies along with men realize that all things are possible with God,” she said. “I was called to inspire people to go after God. Through these books, I hold major women’s conferences, speak, and sing, which, are all the calling of God on my life.”

Especially for such a time as this.

DESTINY STEPS — Between October 2012 and August 2018, St. Louis author Seletha Marie Head Tucker has assembled four awe-inspiring books, her latest of which figures to advance the kingdom mightily, much sooner than later.

A St. Louis-based writer — by way of Memphis — Tucker’s latest book is entitled, “When You Go To The Pit Of Hell To Find a Husband: Where’s My Boaz?”

A spiritually gut-checking written document that is comprised of 114 pages, Tucker’s “When You Go To The Pit Of Hell To Find a Husband: Where’s My Boaz?” is approximately four months removed from its much-anticipated release, a project this Christian-based author acknowledged had come full circle amid much reflection and brainstorming.

A MUST READ — A spiritually gut-checking written document that is comprised of 114 pages, Tucker’s “When You Go To The Pit Of Hell To Find a Husband: Where’s My Boaz?” is approximately four months removed from its much-anticipated release, a project this Christian-based author acknowledged was proceeded by much reflection and brainstorming.

“I began to think about some of the things that I have been through and others have gone through, and God began to deal with me about telling my story to help others women, not just single (women), but those who feel like they have to go all out to find a husband,” Tucker told Making Headline News this week. “You hear so much about women trying to find their Boaz when the Bible says, ‘he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord.’”

To her credit, Tucker has gone to great lengths through her latest book to caution women, most notably those who harbor the lofty expectation of attracting what they describe as that “perfect man” or their “Boaz,” as she appropriately singles out in her newest book.

“Many want that man to be the perfect guy, coming to them and often they are not prepared for that man, because of past relationships, hurts, and even soul ties. I want to encourage women and also help them understand what can happen when you don’t seek God for yourself and also prepare yourself for being a spouse.” — Author Seletha Marie Head Tucker

Prior to connecting with her vision to assemble a “When You Go To The Pit Of Hell To Find a Husband: Where’s My Boaz?” book that was officially released on August 2, Tucker had authored three other books.

A longtime educator, Tucker made her authorship debut in October 2012 when she witnessed the release of her first book entitled, “It’s Time to Pray: Lord, Teach Us How to Pray.”

Dallas/Fort Worth author T. L. Adams’ ‘Get Rid Of Your Stupid List’ book is a constant page turner

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES AUTHOR T. L. ADAMS

DALLAS — T. L. Adams is a writer.

A pretty darn good and resourceful one, to be more technical.

To her distinctly unique credit, she has a few good reasons why she has appropriately adopted a passion for writing, most notably through the ever-so-competitive authorship industry.

“Writing about my life and short stories are therapy to me,” Adams, an accomplished author who’s widely known as ‘Tynisa Adams,’ told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

CONNECT WITH AUTHOR T. L. ADAMS VIA FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/authortladams/

SHE’S AIN’T STUPID — A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Dallas/Fort Worth-area author T. L. Adams is the mastermind behind the book entitled, “Get Rid Of Your Stupid List: Seven Reasons You Are Successful And Still Single,” a 112-page written document that officially hit the market in July 2017.

As Adams acknowledged, it wasn’t until after her divorce that she consequently returned to dating, a trend that essentially fueled her fervent desire to compose her assortment of experiences in the form of a book.

“After my divorce was final, I knew I had to write about my experiences,” Adams said.

She did just that, having produced a book that not only details her slew of life-changing encounters, but also one that is enabling others to assess the overall landscape of their lives — particularly as it relates to interpersonal relational skills.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Adams is the mastermind behind the book entitled, “Get Rid Of Your Stupid List: Seven Reasons You Are Successful And Still Single.”

Armed with a wealth of beauty, Adams is a divorced mom of two children whom, as a gifted author, deemed it essential to share before the world a variety of issues, particularly as it pertains to dating – most notably various forms of pain, frustration, and disappointment.

“Her mission is to help women self-reflect and look at the real reasons that have kept them single,” according to a spokesperson for Adams’ ‘Get Rid of Your Stupid List!’ in a detailed breakdown of her book at https://www.archwaypublishing.com/Bookstore/BookDetail.aspx?BookId=SKU-001111710. “She presents a series of principles she has adopted in order to change her way of thinking and behavior in order to achieve different results. Adams breaks down the various factors that have kept her and other women single, and she shares dating tips that helped her make better choices and life lessons she learned on her dating journey.”

BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER — As Adams acknowledged, it wasn’t until after her divorce that she consequently returned to dating, a trend that essentially fueled her desire to compose her assortment of experiences in the form of a book.

But understand this notion also: Adams emphasizes, among other things, that she isn’t merely pinning blame on men as to why she’s presently single.

So don’t get it twisted.

“The book was written to encourage, motivate, and help others reflect on their decisions when it comes to dating. One thing that sets this book apart is that I am not blaming men as to why I am single. I blame myself. I use my story from being married to now divorced, starting over with dating to help others who has had to start over too.” — Author T. L. Adams

All things considered, “Get Rid Of Your Stupid List: Seven Reasons You Are Successful And Still Single” is not a man-bashing book, Adams acknowledged without hesitation.

DON’T BE SO STUPID

IT’S ALL GOOD — As expected, Adams has become the beneficiary of some favorable feedback since the much-anticipated release of a Get Rid Of Your Stupid List book that is comprised of 112 pages in length.

“This book comes from a counselor’s perspective,” Adams said of a book that officially made its presence on the market on July 13, 2017. “This book will help you reflect your decisions when it comes to dating and relationships. This book will show you the bad decisions I have made and what I am doing now to make better decisions when it comes to dating.”

As expected, Adams has become the beneficiary of some favorable feedback since the much-anticipated release of a Get Rid Of Your Stupid List book that is comprised of 112 pages in length.

Having earned both an MBA and a Master’s in Counseling and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology, Adams doesn’t shy away from the notion that her first book undoubtedly is a part of the purpose for which God has created her.

“I believe that this book is a part of the purpose for which God created me, because it is an avenue to share my personal experiences, going through a divorce and starting over in the dating scene,” Adams said. “I share my failures and job loss, (which is) my motivation to push myself the way I do. We all have a story to share and publishing a book, talking about my dating life will help others avoid the mistakes I have made by choosing the wrong guys (I chose) in my life.

ISN’T SHE LOVELY? Armed with a wealth of beauty, Adams is a divorced mom of two children whom, as a gifted author, deemed it essential to share before the world a variety of issues, particularly as it pertains to dating – most notably various forms of pain, frustration, and disappointment.

“I believe that going from married to single is a hard transition in itself, but I believe that in everything (I’ve done), I have learned many lessons throughout this process that I wanted to share with others.”

She’s done just that, courtesy of what undoubtedly is a must-read book, one whereby she’s holding herself accountable as to why she’s single — at least for the time being.

“In my book, I own that I am the reason I am single,” Adams said without hesitation once again. “As I talked with different females, I realized there is a trend of successful single women. I was trying to figure out what the problem was. It came down to the list. Our list has prevented us from being in relationships because we are looking for Mr. Perfect, and we need to realize that it does not exist.”

Missouri Evangelist Amber Marie Brown defies slew of seemingly insurmountable odds at young age, writes encouraging book as a result

Believe It.

Receive It.

And Step Into It.

SETTING A GODLY EXAMPLE — If nothing else, Amber Marie Brown’s love for writing only heightened when she was teenager and, as a result, this proud, single mother of two eventually emerged as the mastermind behind the book entitled, Rise To The Mission.

Whenever such an intriguing, awe-inspiring catchphrase is uttered, particularly amongst those in the Body Christ then, chances are, Amber Marie Brown’s name will emerged as the center of conversation.

For the all the right reasons, too.

To grasp a thorough concept of why Brown, a Poplar Bluff, Missouri-area Evangelist, has become greatly inspired to — in sticking to the feel-good angle of this story — step into the purpose for which God created her, look no further than how her Creator deemed it essential some time ago to set her aside for His use.

As Brown vividly recalled, she began to witness flashes of her God-manifested vision at the tender age of 17, a vision that essentially had come wrapped up in a notable gift of writing.

“God gave me the ability to write at a young age,” Brown told Making Headline News during a weekend interview. “I would always have a journal with me. I started writing poems in junior high and published my first poem at 17 called, My Heart Is Open.”

And ever since Brown’s initial published piece was appropriately put on public display, it seemed she had never lost her passion for writing.

Heck, if nothing else, her love for  writing only heightened and, as a result, she eventually emerged as the mastermind behind the book entitled, Rise To The Mission.

AWWWWWWW —- For what it’s worth, it is because of Brown’s valiant contributions to the Body of Christ that God is yet rewarding her ways unimaginable.

“I got the vision for the book as I was praying one evening and reading the word,” Brown, a native of Dallas, Texas, said. “I came across Isaiah 60. At that moment, I knew that I was to put all the writing together and encourage God’s people to rise.”

Ironically, amongst the things about which Brown had ultimately discovered while composing her new book was that she simultaneously was walking in her divine calling as young minister of the gospel.

“I was starting to operate in my calling and, because of that, I knew that was my mission,” Brown explained. “But God has given each one of us a mission so I envisioned Rise To The Mission  and, after a confirming within my spirit, I started making it plain and writing the book.”

Ironically, amongst the things Brown had ultimately discovered while composing her new book was that she simultaneously was walking in her divine calling as young minister of the gospel.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

Not only did Brown obey the Voice of God by diligently birthing her vision through her book but, more than anything, it’s safe to assume she was starting to have a monumental impact as it pertains to advancing the kingdom for God’s glory.

“Little did I know that the love I longed for wasn’t going to be found through people, but it would be found in Jesus Christ,” said Brown, the proud Owner and Founder of the Rise To The Mission Facebook Live Show and Amber Brown Ministries. “As I grew in my faith and, after re-committing my life and wanting a true relationship with God, I started journaling in sections.”

For Brown, it wasn’t long thereafter that such a unique trend had given way to an assortment of questions, she acknowledged.

“How did God help me learn to Love? What did I have to do? How was I going to forgive those who hurt me? But I knew I couldn’t move forward until I  did,” Brown recalled. “I wrote about those things and how God made a way (in my life)….even wrote some scriptures that I read that comforted me through each situation.”

Also, Brown writes about a slew of turbulent experiences, most notably how she had endured sexual abuse, as well as physical and mental abuse as a child, not to mention how she grew up in a home mired by alcoholism, a rather abusive household that included her having moved out on her own at just 17 years of age.

GOD’S PLAN — Not only did Brown obey the Voice of God by diligently birthing her vision through her book but, more than anything, it’s safe to assume that was starting to have a monumental impact as it pertains to advancing the kingdom’s for God’s glory.

“I graduated high school on my own at 18, then received a softball scholarship, and I’ve been 13 years clean of cocaine addiction,” explained Brown, keeping it as 100 as only she could.

Interestingly, Brown needed somewhere in the neighborhood of just two-to-three months to produce Rise To The Mission.

“When I started writing, it’s hard for me to stop,” she said.

Moreover, the message she aspires to send to her readers is to encourage them not to give up regardless of their present circumstances.

“So many are throwing in the towel,” Brown said. “So many are called, but very few really step up and take the punches. So many are hurting and don’t have anyone to encourage them and let them know that there is hope. God is using me as a voice of hope. It’s not over and we already have the victory, but not everyone knows that.”

DEFYING THE ODDS — In Brown’s Rise To The Book, she writes about a slew of turbulent experiences, most notably  how she had endured sexual abuse, as well as physical and mental abuse as a child, not to mention how she grew up in a home mired by alcoholism, a rather abusive household that included her having moved out on her own at just 17 years of age.

Well, that’ll surely preach.

As for the feedback she’s garnered since the release of Rise To The Mission, Brown is especially appreciative to those who have bought into her God-mandated vision through her book.

“It’s real and relevant, transparent yet subtle, but from beginning to end, it’s encouragement mixed with scripture and teaching,” Brown said. “All men and women, boys and girls can benefit from this book. It’s for adults and for youth. The next generation needs leaders that are not scared to Rise up and to face the challenges of life. No one likes it, but it has to be done. When parents quit or leaders quit the next generation becomes what they see. God has created me for the purpose of evangelizing.”

SOLID SUPPORTING CAST — Much to her delight, Brown’s immeasurable strides both in the natural and spirit would not be possible if not for her solid support system, which includes God as well as her Mount Calvary Powerhouse Church family, and her spiritual parents, Bishop Ron and  Lady Georgia Webb.

Aside from carrying out her calling by evangelizing the kingdom, Brown is widely known as an accomplished  Health and Fitness Consultant for Beach Body x 1 Year.

“After I had children I had lost control of my body,” Brown said. “I know what it feels like to be in a body that you’re not proud of. I chose to try Beach Body and, after six weeks, I lost 35 pounds.”

Her sustained success through weight loss has encouraged her to encourage others to follow suit.

“Since then, I’ve been coaching others how to rise above their current challenges and mentality and think, ‘I can and will win,’” Brown said. “And they rise and conquer every time.”

Much like she’s doing both in the natural and spirit.

Much to her delight, her immeasurable strides both in the natural and spirit would not be possible if not for her solid support system, which includes God, as well as her Mount Calvary Powerhouse Church family, and her spiritual parents, Bishop Ron and  Lady Georgia Webb.

Atlanta gospel recording artist Joshua Israel conquers 45-minute death at age 11, advancing the kingdom through his gifts

Just before midday on the final Friday in March, Joshua Israel took to his Facebook page, where he deemed it essential to encourage the hearts of his 4,900-plus social media friends.

LAND OF MILK AND HONEY — A married father with a healthy and happy family, Atlanta’s Joshua Israel has become a fixture in the Body of Christ as a talented psalmist, considering he is widely known for ministering, particularly as an award-winning solo artist. Just recently, he witnessed the much-anticipated release of two singles and, if that isn’t enough to turn heads, he will be releasing a new single and video entitled “You’re Not Alone 2.0” in the coming weeks.

Said Israel in a rather awe-inspiring post: Happy Favor Friday! It’s a great day to be Alive!! I hope that you’re intentionally participating in your own life. Don’t just allow life to happen to you. After all, you happened to life #riseupandbeyourtrueself

A pretty purposeful and spirited post by a gifted and talented individual whom, to his credit, has grasped a thorough concept of what it means to allow life to happen to him.

“A key value I have learned from my upbringing is that right is right, wrong is wrong…it and doesn’t matter who’s doing it,” Israel told Making Headline News during a weekend interview.

Because of whom he is and because of where God has predestined to take him, it’s safe to assume that Israel undoubtedly has done more right than wrong.

For starters, the 39-year-old native of St. Louis was raised in a Christian-oriented household, where strict Biblical principles had become a customary trend, considering he  widely known throughout the Body of Christ as a PK, or “Preacher’s Kid.”

“I was raised Pentecostal/Apostolic, but when I was 15, my father added what he called Biblical marriage/polygyny to our religious practice,” Israel recalled. “I have been in church all my life a PK, thus I have seen a lot.”

HIS ‘NO. 1 FAN’ — Because he was determined to remain completely sold out to God, coupled with his wife’s unyielding support, Israel is witnessing his Creator take him to immense heights in the kingdom, as only He could.

As Israel specifically explains, it wasn’t until after what he described as a series of events that he began to witness God “open my eyes.”

That, in a nutshell, is when he had effectively come to grips with the notion that suggested the way he was raised was “no longer for my family and me,” he said forthrightly.

“We parted ways over five years ago,” Israel said without hesitation, “and haven’t looked back.”

A little more than five years removed from what apparently had become an unceremonious — but necessary — separation from his family, amongst the things Israel has discovered is that God can use anyone, at any given time, whenever He so pleases.

NATIONAL IMPACT — To Israel’s credit, his notable musical gifts have given way to him making appearances on TBN, TV57, the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow Push Coalition  Conference, Bobby Jones Presents, Radio One, as well as a host of local festivals and churches.

Fortunately for Israel and his family that resides in Atlanta, God isn’t just using them but, unlike never before, He’s allowing him to put his immeasurable kingdom gifts on display in ways unimaginable.

A married father with a healthy and happy family, Israel has become a fixture in the Body of Christ as a talented psalmist, considering he is widely known for ministering, particularly as an award-winning solo artist and songwriter.

Just recently, he witnessed the much-anticipated release of two singles and, if that isn’t enough to turn heads, he will be releasing a new single and video entitled “You’re Not Alone 2.0” in the coming weeks.

“This is the song God gave me the day I left my father’s religion,” Israel, who’s also an accomplished businessman, said.

SOLD OUT TO GOD — As Israel specifically explains, it wasn’t until after he described as a series of events that he began to witness God “open my eyes.”

And because he was determined to remain completely sold out to God, coupled with his wife’s unyielding support, Israel is witnessing his Creator take him to immense heights in the kingdom, as only He could.

“My wife has always been what I call my No. 1 fan and supporter,” Israel said of his companion, whom he met at 10 years of age and married approximately eight years later. “She’s my rock. She keeps me balanced.”

Interestingly, Israel’s band was once comprised of his four older children, a trend that eventually gave way to them winning back-to-back Atlanta’s Gospel Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017.

AND THE WINNER IS — Nearly three decades removed from that death-to-life encounter, now we know why he is so destined to live and dwell on the larger side of God.

Talk about living and dwelling on the larger side of God.

MORE ON JOSHUA ISRAEL:  www.jisrael.org

“I’ve been quoting Acts 2:38 since I was about three (years old), so preaching is something I’ve always known,” Israel said. “I was born to do it, but didn’t want to for different reasons.”

Having first begun singing in church at the tender age of five, it wasn’t until Israel had turned 19 when he surrendered his life wholeheartedly to God and, in June 1998, he began preaching the gospel.

Consequently, he became the youth pastor and praise and worship under the leadership of father prior to his unlikely exit.

Interestingly, Israel’s band was once comprised of his four older children, a trend that eventually gave way to them winning back-to-back Atlanta’s Gospel Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017.

All things considered, though, his primary focus remained the same — lifting up Christ the best way he knew how.

To his credit, his notable musical gifts have given way to him making appearances on TBN, TV57, the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow Push Coalition  Conference, Bobby Jones Presents, Radio One, as well as a host of local festivals and churches.

Talk about an array of accomplishments — all of this after having been deceased for a considerable amount of time amid being electrocuted at the tender age of 11.

“While living in College Park, Georgia, I climbed a neighborhood tree,” Israel recalled.

What happened shortly thereafter had eventually sent shock waves through the Israel household.

That’s because after finding his way to the very top of the tree, Israel somehow had become entangled in the power line which, according to him, “connected with me and didn’t turn me loose until it crossed my heart three times, finally exiting my left leg leaving two holes.”

Having first begun singing in church at the tender age of five, it wasn’t until Israel had turned 19 when he surrendered his life wholeheartedly to God and, in June 1998, he began preaching the gospel.

Consequently, Israel’s brother and a neighbor removed his lifeless body from the tree, during which paramedics arrived to what Israel referred to as “a dead boy.”

“They had to use the shockers and defibrillators on me,” said Israel telling his testimony for probably the umpteenth time.

According to Israel, medical records indicated that he had been unconscious for up to 45 minutes, a development that led to him having to spend an entire month in nearby Grady Memorial Intensive care burn unit, during which he received a skin graph.

Nearly three decades removed from that death-to-life encounter, now we know why he is so destined to live and dwell on the larger side of God.

“That experience is the very reason I’m not only a believer in God, but know God to be real in spite of,” Israel said.

And for the record, know this also: Because God has revealed Himself time and again in his life, he has no plans of looking back.

Southeast Missouri State swingman Antonius Cleveland looking forward to Senior Day while aiming to boost his NBA stock

JOB WELL DONEHaving arrived on campus at Southeast Missouri State as a true freshman after a successful prep stint at Faith Baptist Christian Academy in Ludowici, Georgia, Memphian Anotonius Cleveland is a four-year starter who has proven to be as good as advertised. Cleveland will play his final collegiate home game when SEMO welcomes Austin Peay State. (Photo by Andrew Whitaket/SEMOBall.com)

Antonius Cleveland insists that it will be just like any other day.

Well, sort of.

“I think it’ll be like any other day, to be honest” Cleveland, during a telephone interview Wednesday night with Making Headline News, said when asked what will go through his mind when he’s honored during Saturday’s Senior Day pregame festivities as he prepares to play his final collegiate home game when Southeast Missouri State welcomes Austin Peay State. “I’m just prepared to play a home game. But it’s being my final home game will be special.”

Not to mention a rather emotional, tear-jerking occasion orchestrated by his mother, Shonda Bowie, who is expected to bring a busload of family members, close friends, and well-wishers from Memphis as they witness her son play for the final time at SEMO’s Show Me Center.

HOOP DREAMS — Besides his dazzling athleticism and remarkable leaping ability, Cleveland (left) boasts an efficient all-around game, considering he leads the Redhawks in scoring (17.0 per game), field goal percentage (.054), and minutes played (32.9 per game).
Add to the fact that 6-foot-6, 188-pound swingman has managed to draw the attention of pro scouts, and it’s no wonder the possibility exists that this mid-major standout could very well find himself auditioning for an NBA roster spot in the foreseeable future. (Photo by Andrew Whitaket/SEMOBall.com).

While there is still a lot of basketball to play for the Redhawks (13-16, 8-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference), who are aiming to end a 17-year NCAA Tournament drought, Saturday figures to be a day of remembrance — and reflection — for Cleveland, one of SEMO’s four seniors and the team’s featured player who’s making a strong case that he could perform on basketball’s grandest stage in the coming months — the NBA.

Having arrived on campus as a true freshman after a successful prep stint at Faith Baptist Christian Academy in Ludowici, Georgia, Cleveland is a four-year starter who has proven to be as good as advertised.

Besides his dazzling athleticism and remarkable leaping ability, Cleveland boasts an efficient all-around game, considering he leads the Redhawks in scoring (17.0 per game), field goal percentage (.054), and minutes played (32.9 per game).

AIR ANTONIUS — To his credit, Cleveland certain has been dubbed one of college basketball’s best dunkers. Last week, SEMO announced that Cleveland is among 16 finalists for the 2017 Dark Horse Dunker competition and that he is in the running to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship Final Four weekend in Phoenix. (Photo by Glenn Landberg/SEMOBall.com).

Add to the fact that 6-foot-6, 188-pound swingman has managed to attract the attention of several pro scouts while appearing in each of SEMO’s 29 games, and it’s no wonder the possibility exists that this mid-major standout could very well find himself auditioning for an NBA roster spot in the foreseeable future.

According to DraftExpress.com, Cleveland is ranked amongst the nation’s top 15 seniors and is rated No. 99 amongst the top 100 prospects, which means if the NBA Draft took place today, the 23-year Cleveland would, in all likelihood, sign as an unrestricted free agent.

All things considered, what is extremely pivotal for Cleveland at this point is to earn an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament April 12-15 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

While his chances appear favorable, Cleveland contends that isn’t his primary focus.

“I don’t think it’s something I’ve been thinking about as much,” Cleveland said. “Right now, I’m just focusing on the season and finishing the year strong, although I’m just as talented as anybody else.”

To his credit, Cleveland certainly has been dubbed one of college basketball’s best dunkers.

Last week, SEMO announced that Cleveland is among 16 finalists for the 2017 Dark Horse Dunker competition and that he is in the running to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship Final Four weekend in Phoenix.

VOTE FOR ANTONIUS: http://gosoutheast.com/news/2017/2/13/mens-basketball-voting-begins-for-dark-horse-dunker-competition.aspx?path=mbball.

The mostly soft-spoken Cleveland, who was informed this week that he has advanced to the round of eight, seemed somewhat surprised by the news.

SHOW ME YOUR SKILLSAs for increasing his NBA stock, Cleveland, who isn’t listing among the 60 picks in NBADraft.net’s latest mock draft that was released on February 16, said the Redhawks earning an automatic to the NCAA Tournament could allow him to generate more exposure as a mid-major prospect. “I think it’s important, because it’ll say a lot about your program,” Cleveland said. And, as for myself, it’ll be a boost as far as people realizing who I am.” (Photo by Andrew Whitaket/SEMOBall.com)

“Our SID (Jeff Honza) told me that I was nominated and I told him I was cool with it,” Cleveland said. “The school has done a great job of promoting it. I think I’ve got a good chance and my chances are pretty good.”

As for increasing his NBA stock, Cleveland, who isn’t listing among the 60 picks in NBADraft.net’s latest mock draft that was released on February 16, said the Redhawks earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament essentially could allow him to generate more exposure as a legitimate mid-major prospect.

“I think it’s important, because it’ll say a lot about your program,” Cleveland said. And, as for myself, it’ll be a boost as far as people realizing who I am.”

Much like the gallery that will be making the 2 1/2-hour trip from Memphis to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to witness him play for his final home game.

Dallas-Fort Worth-area businesswoman Von M. Griggs-Laws promoting workplace safety through Griggs Safety Consultants, LLC

DALLAS — Although the national economic landscape has progressed in many aspects in recent years, safety in the workplace continues to be an ongoing issue.

“(What I like the most) about my business is training employees and managers to training and educating and identifying hazards on their jobs and to prevent fatalities, personal injuries and property damages,” Griggs-Laws told Making Headline News earlier this week.

It is, by all accounts, due in large part to Griggs-Laws’ commitment and passion for eliminating job-related injuries and fatalities that have greatly inspired her to delve off into a business geared toward helping to enhance job safety.

A native of St. Louis, Griggs-Laws is owner and chief executive officer of Griggs Safety Consultants, LLC.

“We offer a proactive model in assisting employer and employees in their compliance initiative,” a spokesperson for Griggs Safety Consultants said. “Safety always…it begins with you.”

Griggs Safety Consultants cater to individuals ranging in ages “16 to 70ish,” Griggs-Laws acknowledged, although the retired military veteran (Air Force) pointed out that it is somewhat “now most common” to have four generations sharing the labor force, or diverse cultures.

“As our aging workforce — or baby boomers — is retiring and with the often demands of changes in our labor force, many employees are introduced to unknown hazards daily,” Griggs-Laws who holds Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, explained. “Too many lack proper knowledge and experience to work as safely as they should. However, many know and understand regulatory compliance and laws, yet choose to deviate from safe practices, often due to production demands.”

To Griggs-Laws’ credit, she managed to provide valid proof as to why her credible business is a necessity in today’s workforce.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWERCurrently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling at the University of Oklahoma, Griggs-Laws is a Certified Government HSE Specialist as well as a Certified Safety And Health Official through Texas A&M.
Also, she is M/WBE & DBE Certified, is affiliated with the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency and is
A TEEX Safety And Health Adjunct Instructor for Texas A&M.

“There were a reported 4,836 fatalities in 2015, and 2,905,900 work-related illness,” Griggs-Laws cited.

MAKING MUCH PROGRESSWithout question, given her wealth of knowledge as it pertains to reducing and eliminating workplace safety, this progressive, vibrant, well-equipped businesswoman boasts the immense skills and mechanics to make a monumental difference in today’s job market. Which, after all, essentially explains why Griggs Safety Consultants, LLC is starting to garner an array of headlines for all the right reasons.

Wait. There’s more pivotal evidence, she revealed.

“The total employer compensation costs for state and local government workers averaged (approximately) $45.93 per hour worked in September 2016, while average minimum wage is $8.25 to $10.00,” Griggs-Laws said. “The math doesn’t add up to balance business income versus employee’s worker claim costs, not to include medical treatment, cost to hire and retrain, etc. Oh…and lawsuits and legal fees.”

All of which practically sums up why Griggs-Laws’ business is, by and large, deemed a missing piece, of sorts, in today’s microwave society-oriented workforce.

“Many have the delegation of safety and health for their respective employers and are often over tasked with other duties, unable to really focus on safety and health with a 24/7 approach,” Griggs-Laws explained. “They juggle duties and safety is often the first ball to drop. Griggs Safety Consultants are here to help, especially smaller company owners that are not able to have a full time SHE (or safety, health & environmental) position added to their payrolls.

“We have partnerships with other consultants that are experts within their fields and can assist with removing the guesswork — saving one life and one limb at a time,” Griggs-Laws continued. “Safety is everyone’s responsibility, whether at work, at home and in recreational activities too. Let us help you preserve your assets.”

Dallas/Fort Worth-based entrepreneur Tameka King-Durham providing job-seekers with confidence, much-needed boosts

aaaDALLAS — It doesn’t take very long for anyone who crosses paths with Tameka King-Durham to realize that her reputation is such that she’s customarily a half-glass-full kind of person.

By all accounts, she’s especially one who aspires to see life from God’s perspective.

To her credit, that is amongst the grandest reasons King-Durham has found favor with God as a rising entrepreneur throughout Dallas/Fort Worth, one of the most energy-driven, business-oriented, and most populous establishments in America.

"SHOW ME" A TEXAS SIZE IMPACT --- A native of St. Louis, Tameka King-Durham is owner and chief operating officer of Business Solutions, a unique, credible multiple service company that offers customers a variety of professional entities that will greatly enabled them to become equipped and empowered to get a leg up in today’s ever-so-competitive job market.
SHOW ME A TEXAS SIZE IMPACTA native of St. Louis, Tameka King-Durham is owner and chief operating officer of Business Solutions, a unique, credible multiple service company that offers customers a variety of professional entities that will greatly enabled them to become equipped and empowered to get a leg up in today’s ever-so-competitive job market.

A 38-year-old native of St. Louis, King-Durham is owner and chief operating officer of Business Solutions, a unique, credible multiple service company that offers customers a variety of professional entities that will greatly enabled them to become equipped and empowered to get a leg up in today’s ever-so-competitive job market.

Everything from assembling resumes, to resume re-writing, cover letters, and thank you letters, among other things.

Given the immense strides she has made while simultaneously finding her niche in her craft, it’s safe to assume that King-Durham, by all accounts, have connected with her passion, thus walking in her divine purpose.

“For many years, I have written resumes not only for myself, but family members, friends, and others,” King-Durham told longtime journalist Andre Johnson during a recent interview. “I have always received favorable feedback from all. As a writer (with a wealth of experience, it is my belief that my job is to construct an amazing story of (consumers’) careers that will get them seen and hopefully the call for an interview.

“My mission is to let people know that we can always do and better,” King-Durham continued. “(I teach them to) stay positive and strive to always be the best you. God has a purpose for all. It is up to us to figure out what it is and make it work.”

FOLLOW TAMEKA, Y’ALL: Via Email at: Tameka@businesssolutions2016.com or Online at: Businesssolutions2016.com.

In detailing her up-and-coming venture, King-Durham specifically stressed that Business Solutions offer consumers:

Interview Coaching — “One must realize that the key to landing the dream job is to be prepared,” King-Durham said. “So it’s important to know that it’s not okay to just walk in an interview cold turkey or think that you can wing it. The interviewer will know. (Job seekers) must have a clear understanding of what the job is about and learn how to effectively communicate they are better suited for the position.”

Salary Negotiating Tools — “Of course, money is the driving force with regard to why we start the entire job search process,” King-Durham explains. “Depending on the position, it is quite possible the salary can be negotiated. We’ve got the tools to help you get through negotiating your next salary.”

Complaint Letters — “I offer this service simply because I am good at complaining and getting results,” King-Durham explained. “My father taught me how to write an effective letter when I have been wronged by a service or received a product that didn’t work properly. This service is for those who have had a bad experience and just don’t have the time to follow up for resolutions. We are more than happy to be the voice of the consumer when handling these issues.”

Insurance Assistance — “My career of choice initially was as Licensed Claims Adjuster for over 13 years,” King-Durham said. “Now I am not a lawyer. However, throughout the years, I have seen how people spent thousands on attorneys and it’s possible they did not need one. We will not settle claims. However, we can assist with answering questions one might have about their auto accident, injuries, or general liability claim experience.”

eeA graduate Lindenwood University, amongst the reasons King-Durham believes her business stands out is that it is a necessity of which consumers ought to take advantage.

The sooner, the better she said, because in this day and time, the job market will only become more competitive.

That is where King-Durham becomes a reliable, aggressive source of reason, particularly as it pertains to providing job seekers the right solutions to become equipped and empowered to get a leg up in today’s ever-so-competitive job market.

“I was never competitive in sports,” said King-Durham, “but always in life. For as long as I can remember, at the beginning of each calendar year, I write out short-term and long-term goals. Entrepreneurship has been on the long-term list long enough. It’s time for me to cross it off and continuing to move forward.”

This, to her credit, sums up why she’s one who aspires to see life from God’s perspective.
