A TRUE INSPIRATION

During a recent interview with Making Headline News, esteemed Georgia philanthropist Jay Vinson introduced his latest empowerment endeavor, one that figures to help enrich and shape lives for years to come.
Vinson, 34, is the founder and CEO of JV Athlete Advisory Services, his Atlanta-based purpose-driven organization designed to equip student-athletes with essential tools for mental wellness, NIL education, leadership development, and personal branding.
“We bridge the gap between performance and purpose, helping athletes succeed not just in sports, but in life,” Vinson, a three-time MHN Man of the Year recipient, said.
“Growing up in sports taught me discipline, resilience, and how to lead. But I also saw how many athletes suffer in silence mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That realization lit a fire in me. I took those life experiences and built a platform to meet athletes where they are, offering them the guidance, healing, and vision they need to thrive.”

Vinson’s JV Athlete Advisory Services was established earlier this year, the Montgomery, Alabama native and rising faith leader said.
According to Vinson, his inspiration for launching his latest platform comes amid his keen passion for empowering others to witness life-altering transformations.
“Whether it’s an athlete gaining confidence through a wellness session or a team stepping up after a leadership workshop, those moments of growth are everything,” Vinson said. “It’s a blessing to be part of their journey.”
Interestingly enough, Vinson’s promotional efforts through his latest empowerment endeavor are centered in large part on his fervent quest to pitch to area high schools and college athletic departments
“I have relationships with (high schools and college athletic departments) in Atlanta and Alabama,” Vinson told MHN. “I’m also working on booking student-athlete leadership summits and developing a virtual series called Purpose, Pressure & Performance for athletes and their parents.”
By all accounts, Vinson said spearheading JV Athlete Advisory Services emerged from the tireless support of a host of relatives and close acquaintances.
“(It was because of) my mother, father, and brother, who instilled in me the power of faith and perseverance,” Vinson said. “(It was also because of) my coaches, who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and mentors in ministry and education who modeled what it looks like to lead with vision, humility, and heart.”

When asked what his personal mission is for establishing JV Athlete Advisory Services, Vinson said:
“To help athletes win beyond the game. I want to empower them to discover their identity, protect their mental wellness, and prepare for life after sports. Because their value is far greater than stats or trophies.”
Generally, Vinson’s JV Athlete Advisory Services cater mostly to high school and college student-athletes.
“We also support coaches, athletic directors, and parents who play a role in the athlete’s development,” he said. “JV Athlete Advisory Services is newly launched, but we’re already building strong roots in Georgia and Alabama. Our vision is national. We’re targeting partnerships with HBCUs, faith-based colleges, Division I schools, and athletic programs across the country.”
