But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
THE GRACE TO OVERCOME

As Latrice Crawford vividly recalls, she was a beloved, God-fearing child when the Lord infused her with the awe-inspiring vision to someday write a book.
For Crawford, her fervent quest to become a first-time published author had finally emerged in Spring 2025 during which she witnessed the ceremonious release of Saved by Grace: A Journey of Survival, Healing, and Forgiveness.
“God gave me the vision to write this book through my life’s journey, beginning when I was just a little girl,” Crawford, a Baltimore, Maryland faith leader told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
To her distinctly unique credit, it’s safe to assume that Crawford’s authorship debut has been nothing short of remarkable.

An intriguingly informative gem that officially debuted on Crawford’s 50th birthday back on April 20 and is powered by Dr. LaQuita Parks’ Pa-Pro-Vi Publishing, Saved by Grace: A Journey of Survival, Healing, and Forgiveness, by all accounts, is a riveting, captivating written work that figures to help advance the kingdom mightily for years to come.
For what it’s worth, Crawford rise to become a first-time author comes amid humble beginnings, something she doesn’t merely take for granted.
“Before I opened my eyes to this world, my body knew pain,” writes Crawford via Amazon.com, providing a detailed overview of her newly-released, 94-page book. “It wasn’t the nurturing warmth of a mother’s love that I felt in the womb. It was the pull and poison of addiction. Cocaine coursed through my tiny veins, shaping my first experience of life.
Oddly enough, Crawford chronicles that while other babies grew in what she describes as “a cocoon of safety,” she was subsequently introduced to “a chaotic battle that defined my earliest moments.”
“When I was born, I wasn’t greeted with joy and celebration,” Crawford says Amazon. “My entry into the world was met with panic, medical interventions, and uncertainty. The doctors didn’t see a healthy, thriving newborn. They saw a baby fighting withdrawal symptoms that no child should ever endure. My tiny body shook uncontrollably, wracked with tremors, sleepless nights became my norm. The nurses said I screamed constantly, but my cries weren’t those of a typical baby. They were cries of pain, withdrawal, and confusion.”

Since the release of Saved by Grace: A Journey of Survival, Healing, and Forgiveness, Crawford has fielded an assortment of favorable feedback.
“I have received countless testimonies of how this book has touched lives, healed relationships, and restored hope,” Crawford told MHN. “Many mothers realized the deep impact their struggles had on their children. Fathers saw how absence and substance abuse wounded their families. Children began to understand the fight of addiction and the possibility of forgiveness.
“Families found themselves looking in the mirror, no longer in denial, but ready to confront and heal the damage caused by addiction. Readers consistently tell me that this book opened their eyes and helped them see the light in a new way.”
When asked in what way do Saved by Grace aligns with the divine purpose for which God created her, Crawford said:
“God created me for His purpose — to serve, to bring deliverance, and to be a vessel of healing and forgiveness. I am a survivor, created in His image, formed by His hands, and called to be a messenger to His people.”
SEASON OF GRACE & FAVOR

In essence, Crawford doesn’t shy away from the notion that Saved by Grace is a reflection of her heaven-mandated calling, one that is centered largely on restoring, inspiring, bringing hope, thus reminding the world that with God, healing is possible, forgiveness is attainable, and survival is the light of life.
“My vision is to help individuals and families recognize that addiction does not have to define their lives,” Crawford said. “Through healing, faith, and forgiveness, broken families can be rebuilt, lost connections can be restored, and children can be protected from repeating the cycles of the past. This book is a wake-up call for those in the grip of addiction and a guide for their loved ones to understand, forgive, and move forward.”
