WE LIT MANE

At one point in time, Alex Crane was widely regarded as a high-ranking gang member on the dangerous streets of Memphis.
Today, however, he’s having a massive impact on the lives of the youths throughout the Bluff City.
Crane is the Managing Director of Trinity Holistic Intervention Services (T. H. I. S.), his rising Mid-South-area nonprofit organization that a fixture for providing mentorship and guidance to at-risk youth.
Located at 6499 Saddleback Circle in Southeast Memphis, the organization’s chief mission is centered largely on decreasing gun violence and substance abuse among young individuals.

“I mentor youths throughout my city through various programs to help empower them to positive change,” Crane told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
Also, Crane oversees the day-to-day operations of From the Blok to the Booth, his flagship program that has produced a 100 percent success rate for participants, he said.
“They are either in post-secondary education or working a job,” Crane said of his featured organization. “I teach them conflict resolution and emotional intelligence skills.”

Interestingly enough, Crane said his competitive drive in establishing a credible nonprofit organization has given way to him becoming the best version of himself, this after he spent years on the wrong side of success by way of gang affiliation.
“(I’m destined to be) the best and help as many people as possible that I can and to never give up,” Crane, a 1992 Memphis Westwood High graduate said. “The thing I love most is being able to build my community up by helping versus destroying my community by hurting it.”
Generally, Crane’s Trinity Holistic Intervention Services customarily services individuals and groups ranging in ages 13 to 36, an organization that is starting to have more of an impact throughout the Tri-State area (Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi).
In retrospect, Crane’s gang affiliation, coupled with a rash of unlawful deeds, would ultimately catch up with him, thus thrusting his life in a downward spiral in the process.
The young Crane was eventually arrested and sentenced to four-and-a half years in federal prison. His dreaded incarceration, it turns out, was a massive blessing in disguise for the native Memphian whom, today, is the mastermind behind Memphis Music Records.
Suitably known as a youth gun violence interventionist whose stage name is BOS$TY, Crane has generated a wave of headlines throughout the Mid-South, in large part because he’s destined to help city officials combat crime throughout the Memphis metropolitan area.

After graduating with honors from Westwood, Crane enrolled at University of Phoenix, where he studied Business Management. Consequently, he enrolled at Liberty University, where he studied Theology.
“My mission is to give a holistic approach to provide support for the whole person: mental, physical, emotional, social and their spiritual well-being,” Crane said of his organization, adding that his unwavering faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit has enabled him to reap sustained success as a Mid-South-area businessman.
Crane’s well-publicized community service contributions date back to 2000. He recently celebrated 25 years of dedicatory service.
“God gave me a vision and a plan to use the talents and influence that He gave me to help those that are lost, to change their lives and free them from the cycle of poverty, crime, violence and sadly death, so that together, our City of Memphis can be united in love, peace and a true revival can take place in our communities throughout the most beautiful city in the land,” Crane told MHN. “And may God get the glory.”
