ATLANTA — During a recent interview with Making Headline News, Atlanta-based Pa-Pro-Vi Publishing Founder Dr. LaQuita Parks announced she has joined another notable book collaboration, this one entitled, Dozing Through Life: A Memoir of Naps Misunderstandings and Narcoleptic Humor.
An anthology that is comprised of four coauthors — each of whom are destined to disclose their life-altering struggles with like-minded individuals who have experienced narcolepsy with cataplexy — Dozing Through Life: A Memoir of Naps Misunderstandings and Narcoleptic Humor is hosted by Visionary Author Desiree Williams.
“God gave Desiree Williams the vision for this book when she realized her lived experiences with narcolepsy could educate, uplift, and bring awareness to a misunderstood condition,” Dr. Parks told MHN. “We chose to produce this book to amplify Desiree’s powerful mission of shedding light, truth, and humor on the realities of narcolepsy.”

According to Dr. Parks, she and her fellow co-authors began the legwork earlier this year on Dozing Through Life: A Memoir of Naps Misunderstandings and Narcoleptic Humor, a riveting, informative written work that had been in the works for the past year.
“As the publisher, we have produced numerous anthologies and solo works, and Dozing Through Life joins our 2025 catalog of purpose-driven publications,” Dr. Parks said. “The divine message is that awareness brings understanding, understanding brings compassion, and every story carries healing power.”

By all accounts, Dr. Parks relishes the favorable feedback amid the release of an anthology her company was afforded the golden opportunity to publish.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with readers expressing gratitude for the honesty, education, and relatability of the stories,” Dr. Parks said. “This book aligns with our God-given purpose to help people transform their pain into purpose by sharing stories that inspire, heal, and educate.
“We are honored to stand with Desiree Williams and every contributor in bringing much-needed awareness to narcolepsy through the gift of storytelling.”
