A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. (Proverbs 18:16/NIV)
GOD-ORDERED STEPS

What a remarkably memorable year it has been for Dr. LaQuita Parks.
So much so this esteemed Atlanta-based businesswoman paused recently to offer praises unto to God, from Whom all blessings flow.
“This year has been a mixture of answered prayers, quiet endurance, unexpected joy, and deep reflection,” Dr. Parks recalls. “It has not been easy, but it has been meaningful. I would sum it up as a season of alignment with my purpose, my faith, and my voice. I learned how to trust God deeper, honor my pace, and still show up fully even on the days my body or heart felt tired. This year reminded me that progress does not have to be loud to be powerful.”
For Dr. Parks, this year undoubtedly was filled with a considerable amount of progression for the Pa-Pro-Vi Publishing founder and CEO, who was named Making Headline News Woman of the Year for 2025, as announced by the Dallas/Fort Worth-based media outlet.
SALTUTING WOMEN WHO HELP SHAPE OUR WORLD
For Dr. Parks, this is the second time she has come away with MHN’s most covenant annual honor, having previously accomplished such a feat in 2022.
To her credit, Dr. Parks had garnered high praise during a year in which Pa-Pro-Vi Publishing — her featured business endeavor — in August commemorated its fifth year of existence.
That’s not all Dr. Parks managed to accomplish in what could be appropriately described as a banner year.
“Through my company, Pa Pro Vi Publishing, I published 32 book projects, including five children’s books, six anthologies and two personal projects,” Dr. Parks said. “More than half of those books achieved best seller status, which speaks to the power of collective storytelling and community support.”

Not to be outdone, Dr. Parks, earlier this year, was named a recipient of two publishing awards and witnessed numerous Pa Pro Vi authors receive individual author awards, “which felt just as meaningful as receiving one myself,” she acknowledged.
Moreover, Dr. Parks enjoyed a year in which she expanded her media presence, particularly by adding a third podcast entitled, What Happens Outside of Love, A Cousins Podcast Production, a rising empowering platform designed to create “another space” for honest conversations and healing dialogue.
“I was featured on the cover of two international magazines, opportunities that allowed my story, my faith, and my mission to reach audiences beyond what I ever imagined,” Dr. Parks recalls.

Looking ahead, Dr. Parks anticipates 2026 will be just as productive and memorable surrounding her brand.
Continue expanding Pa Pro Vi Publishing with more educational programs, workshops, and storytelling platforms centered on healing and purpose.
“(I plan to) create more intentional spaces for community through retreats, live events, and group coaching experiences,” Dr. Parks told MHN. “(I plan to) release more of my own personal writing and continue telling my story honestly and unapologetically…mentor and develop the next generation of storytellers, authors, and leaders…protect my peace and health more intentionally by balancing productivity with rest and faith.”
When asked to whom she credits for her array of accomplishments this year, Dr. Parks said”
“I give all credit to God first. Without His grace and guidance, none of this would have been possible. I also credit my family, my community, my authors, and every client who trusted me with their story. And I credit myself for not quitting and continuing forward despite chronic illness, grief, and exhaustion.
“This year stretched me emotionally, physically, and spiritually,” Dr. Parks continued. “I saw fruit from seeds planted years ago and received confirmation that walking in purpose always leads to impact. This recognition reflects years of consistency, sacrifice, and unseen labor. It affirms that staying committed to service, integrity, and purpose matters.”
Indeed, it does.
As evidenced by what undoubtedly has been a remarkably memorable year.
