In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16/NIV)
SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE

Amid what could be appropriately described as perilous times in our world, Shaun Franklin seems overwhelmingly ecstatic of the positivity her son, Jalen Franklin, steadfastly demonstrates.
“Help support our own! And you will be supporting something with a message that’s needed today…with all the hatred that’s been spread around like it’s the norm,” Shaun Franklin wrote in a social media post via Facebook Saturday night.
For what it’s worth, Shaun Franklin deemed it necessary to deliver an impromptu call to action in large part because her son’s spirited messages are routinely put on display by way of Slide To Paradise, his newly-established Las Vegas faith-based business endeavor that has become a fixture for empowering like-minded young men who live for cars and drifting.
A rising entrepreneurial venture Jalen Franklin started in February, Slide To Paradise isn’t just some ordinary brand, the native Memphian told Making Headline News during a weekend interview.

“The name, Slide To Paradise, was inspired by what we called ‘slideshows’ back in Memphis, but I wanted to take it deeper, connecting our passion for cars with faith, God, and a greater purpose,” Jalen Franklin said. “That vision is what created STP.”
A 23-year-old content creator-turned-entrepreneur, Jalen Franklin emphasized, among other things, his entrepreneurial mission is centered largely on one life-altering trend: to ensure that God is glorified.
“What I like the most about my business and brand is that it glorifies Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior,” Jalen Franklin told MHN. “Only what we do for Christ will last.”
Jalen Franklin’s mother is especially appreciative of the notion that the assortment of Biblical principles on which her son was raised have blossomed into a distinctly unique business, one that has enabled him to diligently help advance the kingdom, thus let his light shine outside of the four walls of the church.
“Knowing that he’s building this business on a foundation of faith and integrity makes me incredibly happy,” said Shaun Franklin said while referencing Romans 8:28. “His desire as a young man to make a positive impact on the world while honoring God is truly admirable. I’m confident that he’ll continue to be a shining example of how to live a life of purpose and service as God has commented us all to do.”

A graduate of Germantown High School who enlisted in the Air Force, Jalen Franklin’s Slide To Paradise customarily services individuals and groups of all ages.
“Everybody needs Jesus and positivity,” Jalen Franklin said. “My personal mission behind creating Slide To Paradise is to reach young men like me — who love cars, speed, and the lifestyle — and call them back to Jesus Christ. I’m here to prove that you don’t have to lose your style or your passion to follow God. You can live bold, move differently, and still be fully submitted to Him. The world is pushing money, lust, and violence nonstop but I’m standing against that, using STP to redirect the culture back to Christ. This isn’t just clothing. This is my ministry and I’m here to make sure as many people as possible hear the truth while there’s still time.”

By all accounts, Jalen Franklin’s inspiration for starting a faith-based business was “definitely God-inspired,” he acknowledged.
“I’ve had the idea since April 2025 but never acted on it until I talked to my homie, Jerry (Dro), and he believed in it and helped me set everything up to get started. So big shoutout to Jerry Thomas.”
MOM KNOWS BEST, MANE

To his credit, Jalen Franklin’s experience as an accomplished content creator dates back to 2021, a trend that has given way to him having acquired more than 54,000 followers via Instagram. His expertise, meanwhile, would ultimately fuel his fervent drive to start a business endeavor that, much to his delight, is beginning to emerge as one of the finest of its kind.
“It is very important to esteem and inspire others because you never know the impact you’ll have on someone’s life,” Jalen Franklin said. “Everybody has influence — whether good or bad — and we should always strive to motivate and point people in the right direction.”
Just like his beloved mother has done on his behalf for 23-plus-years — and counting.
“It fills me with immense pride to witness my son’s latest entrepreneurial endeavor,” Shaun Franklin said. “More than just his business acumen, I am profoundly proud of the man he is becoming. With a foundation firmly rooted in faith, and a deeply personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the future holds boundless promise for him.
MIGHTY MAN OF VALOR

“His entrepreneurial spirit is truly inspiring, and I have no doubt he’ll achieve great success,” Shaun Franklin continued. “What warms my heart even more is his unwavering commitment to serving Jesus Christ in all that he does. It’s a testament to the values that his father and I have instilled in him as a child, and we are so grateful to witness his faith in action. Jalen has a purpose.”
Indeed, he does.
Especially amid what could be appropriately described as perilous times in our world.
