A graduate of Montgomery’s Robert E. Lee High, Vinson acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Auburn University. Consequently, he earned a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of West Georgia.
Currently, Vinson is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Sports Leadership at Concordia University Chicago.

- Being named a recipient for the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024
- Becoming a higher educator instructor in Sports Management and,
- Earning certifications in Athlete Management, NIL, mental wellness coaching, and life and spiritual coaching.
Interestingly enough, Vinson is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Phi Kappa Phi, and the North American Society for Sport Management.

When asked to define success in his own words, Vinson, an esteemed faith leader, said:
“Success is fulfilling the purpose God has placed on my life while creating opportunities for others to recognize and reach their potential. Having begun serving faithfully in ministry at a young age, Vinson’s faith-based resume includes having functioned as a pastor for more than a decade. Even to this day, he continues to mentor young people, student-athletes, and emerging professionals by helping them to develop academically, mentally, spiritually, and professionally.
Through education and sports, Vinson has steadfastly positioned himself to emerge as an advocate for the total development of athletes beyond their performance on the field.
According to Vinson, amongst his notable objectives over the next year include, but are limited to:
- Complete his Doctor of Education in Sports Leadership
- Advance his keen research concerning mental wellness amongst high school football coaches
- Transition into a full-time higher-education or collegiate athletics leadership position
- Expand JV Athlete Advisory Institute and create additional educational, mentorship, mental wellness, and career-development opportunities for athletes and,
- Continue to advance his work in athlete representation, thus help overlooked student-athletes gain exposure, guidance, and access to collegiate and professional opportunities.
In addition, Vinson doesn’t shy away from the notion that he’s destined to expand his empowerment platform, particularly through public speaking, media appearances, publishing, and strategic partnerships that align with his purpose and personal brand.
“My professional journey has never followed only one path,” Vinson said. “I have built a career at the intersection of education, sports, leadership, mental wellness, ministry, media, entrepreneurship, and entertainment. Each role reflects the same central purpose: empowering people, creating opportunities, and using my platform to make a lasting impact.
