Virginia entrepreneur Mikisha “Miki” Young Brown helping families build generational wealth through SYD Financial Solutions

Andre Johnson May 20, 2020

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. (Proverbs 13:22)

MARVELOUS MIKI

DOING IT FOR SYDNEE — A Suffolk, Virginia-based company that was named in honor of Mikisha J. “Miki” Young Brown’s 10-year-old daughter, Sydnee — “whom we call ‘Syd,’” Brown says — SYD stands for Share Your Dreams and, according to Brown, her company’s line is “Share Your Dreams. Protect Your Vision.”

Mikisha J. “Miki” Young Brown fielded the question as if she expected it.

“If I’m going to be working my tail off, why not let it be for something where there is no cap on income versus working my tail off at a job where I have to work for 30 years, a possibility of not getting promoted, or watching others get promoted who didn’t deserve it…or not even getting a raise,” Miki told Making Headline News this week. “I want to be able to compete against myself, be better than I was the day before, and look forward to what I become in the future.”
To her distinctly unique credit, Brown has gone to great lengths in her credible profession to ensure that she diligently becomes a version of herself.
Every. Single. Day.
As the proud owner of Owner of SYD Financial Solutions, Brown has become a fixture for educating families on building generational wealth through life insurance and protecting families from the financial devastation of the two largest financial burdens left behind following the passing of a loved one: real estate and debt.

A credible endeavor that is steadily attracting a national presence — “I am licensed in various states throughout the country” — Miki emphasized her divine purpose is geared largely toward transforming the mindset to helping transform the world.

“After several years in the insurance industry, Miki understands life insurance should not only be used when someone passes away for final expense purposes, but it should also have the ability to be used while an individual is still living,” said a spokesperson for Brown’s SYD Financial Solutions. “Miki knows that her purpose in the industry is to be there during the entire life of a client and their family when they work with her, not just at their passing. Miki knows the two things that many individuals do not want to talk about. Finance and death are the two things that our communities must talk about in order to break the generational curse.”

A Suffolk, Virginia-based company that was named in honor of Miki’s 10-year-old daughter, Sydnee — “whom we call ‘Syd,’” she says — SYD stands for Share Your Dreams and, according to Brown, her company’s line is “Share Your Dreams. Protect Your Vision.”

A venture that services individuals ranging mostly in ages of 30 to 60, SYD Financial Solutions’ strategic mission is centered largely on educating families — “especially within the black community,” Miki acknowledged — on building generational wealth through life insurance.

There is, by all accounts, a notable reason why, Miki cites.

“Most of our communities were taught that life insurance was only used to bury a person,” Miki explained. “No one taught us that life insurance is one of the reasons why these wealthy families in America are able to pass financial assets on through generations.”

A financial service extraordinaire in her own right, Miki is certainly armed with the solid credentials which, much to her delight, have greatly equipped her to function mightily in her element.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — A venture that services individuals ranging mostly in ages of 30 to 60, SYD Financial Solutions’ strategic mission is centered largely on educating families — “especially within the black community,” she acknowledged — on building generational wealth through life insurance.

Having earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle Grade Education from Fayetteville State University, Miki earned a dual Master of Arts in Management and Human Resource Development from Webster University and an Ed.S in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development from Walden University.

A beloved member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, amongst Miki’s notable hobbies include spending time with her husband, Hugh Brown, the couple’s  daughter, and whom Mikisha Brown refers to as their “two fur babies,” TaterTot and Henry.

Widely known also as a Transformational Speaker and FOREX Investor, Miki is a United States Air Force Veteran. Interestingly, she was recently interviewed by Hollywood actress Cocoa Brown, a segment that had garnered so much feedback that Brown has requested a second session.

Armed with an array of experience in her selected line of work, Miki is especially grateful of the relationship she customarily establishes with her clients.

“(I love the) interaction with people, not having to sit behind a desk all day,” said Miki, who has appeared on a few podcasts. “My income is based on what I do or do not do, not on what someone sitting in a nice cushy office decides my income should be. (I’m also grateful of the fact) that I am able to not only build, but to teach my daughter how to build a legacy for future family.”

A PIVOTAL REMINDER…

A credible endeavor that is steadily attracting a national presence — “I am licensed in various states throughout the country” — Miki emphasized her divine purpose is geared largely toward transforming the mindset to helping transform the world.

When asked why it is imperative to esteem others daily, Miki said: “As someone stated, ‘Your passion is for you…your purpose is for others.’ My passion is educating others on something that I wasn’t really educated about growing up. My purpose is to transform the mindset to help transform the world.”

Fielding the question as if she expected it.

Once again.

D–S–TERRIFIC PROFESSIONAL

KEEPING IT 100 — “If I’m going to be working my tail off, why not let it be for something where there is no cap on income versus working my tail off at a job where I  have to work for 30 years, a possibility of not getting promoted, or watching others get promoted who didn’t deserve it…or not even getting a raise,” Miki told Making Headline News this week. “I want to be able to compete against myself, be better than I was the day before, and look forward to what I become in the future.”
