For Tiffany Donald, a typical Saturday afternoon is one that mostly involves her engaging in what she describes as “multitasking.”
This weekend is no exception.
Still, despite all of the things and activities about which Donald was engrossed, she made certain to do the one very thing that topped her list.
“I just had it delivered to her in case she decides to wear it tomorrow,” Donald told Making Headline News in its annual Salute To Mother’s Day Tributes. “It’s a suit. Oh my God! She hollered and said, ‘It’s beautiful!’”
And just like that, Donald — just as she’s done for as long as she can recall — paid homage to her beloved mother, Pastor Barbara Vincent, in beautifully alluring fashion, thus providing her life’s featured individual with flowers, of sorts, while she yet has breath in her body.
It’s Mother’s Day weekend, which means it is only befitting that Donald’s weekend multitasking would involve pausing periodically to celebrate her mother.
“My mother is an extraordinary woman of faith, elegance, and virtue,” Donald said. “She exemplifies a real woman. She is a woman of grace, love, and acceptance for all who come in contact with her. This woman is a phenomenal cook, homemaker, and a compassionate leader.”
To her distinct credit, Vincent — the mother of five biological children and an adopted son — has been the spiritual glue, of sorts, that has kept the historic Fellowship Church strongly connected as a positive beacon of light in the Tulsa, Oklahoma community.
Located at 570 North Denver Avenue, Fellowship Church was founded by Vincent’s husband, Bishop John Vincent, who died in May 2013.
A mother of five, Donald, along with her children and a few of siblings are very much active in helping her mother continue her husband’s rich legacy, particularly as it pertains to advancing the kingdom through the longstanding ministry he founded.
Donald’s oldest sibling, Terry Vincent, is the Senior Pastor of Restoration Of Faith Fellowship Church in Arlington, Texas. Her second oldest brother, Keith Vincent, is the Senior Pastor of Greater Compassion Ministries in Nashville.
“The most impacting thing she’s done for me is allowing me time become the woman God has ordained me to be through her example of example,” said Donald, who’s also an accomplished author as the mastermind behind the book, “Provoked To Purpose,” her debut book that is designed to inspire and empower a downtrodden, oppressed people to never neglect the purpose for which God created them.
All of which practically sums up why this time of year undoubtedly is a special one for Donald whom, given how congested her itinerary was on Saturday, is no stranger to multitasking.
Only this time around, her laundry list of things was highlighted by shipping her mother’s gift so that it would arrive to her address in time for Mother’s Day.
Given her mother’s cheerful reaction, it’s safe to assume it is a gift she’s destined to put to good use, probably much sooner than later.
“I carry her legacy by walking in her footsteps of grace and virtue,” Donald said. “I’m training my children as she trained my siblings and me to love God and others genuinely.
“Thanks, mom, for being strong, courageous and tenacious for Christ and your family. We love you,” Donald added.
All while engaging in her customary Saturday afternoon multitasking.
