But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)
DAUGHTER KNOWS BEST
Like daughter. Like mother.
During a recent interview with Making Headline News, KJ Montgomery was asked what fueled her desire to delve off into the ever-so-competitive world of authorship this year.
For what it’s worth, Montgomery credits her daughter, LeTysha Montgomery, for enlightening her about Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, Vernessa Blackwell’s highly-anticipated 12th anthology that made its official debut in July 2021.
“(God give me the vision to join this collaborative book project) when my daughter told me about the opportunity,” KJ Montgomery told MHN.
For KJ Montgomery, it was a golden opportunity worth seizing, considering she has become the beneficiary of a rash of favorable feedback.
Much to her delight, KJ Montgomery is one of 90 co-authors to share of her life-altering journey in Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, an Amazon No. 1 bestselling book that is comprised of 190 pages in length, a massive pool of co-authors has assembled to collectively engage in real talk about finding joy during difficult times, most notably COVID-19, loss, love, grief, and healing, among other pertinent topics, Blackwell told MHN during a recent interview.
“Many of my readers have told me) it was a powerful devotional,” said KJ Montgomery, describing the assessments she’s garnered.

As KJ Montgomery explained, her primary reason for joining Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional is that she felt compelled to educate people on all things fibromyalgia.
According to a report by the Center for Disease Control (or CDC), fibromyalgia — pronounced fi·bro·my·al·gi·a — is a condition that causes pain all over the body.
Also referred to as “widespread pain,” fibromyalgia customarily causes sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress, according to a CDC report at https://www.cdc.gov/arthritis/basics/fibromyalgia.htm.
Generally, the report cited, people with fibromyalgia may be more sensitive to pain than people without fibromyalgia. This is called abnormal pain perception processing. Fibromyalgia, in fact, affects about four million U.S. adults, which is roughly two percent of the adult population. The cause of fibromyalgia is not known, but it can be effectively treated and managed.
“Many people with fibromyalgia realize they are not alone, and people who do not have fibromyalgia have a better understanding of the invisible disease,” KJ Montgomery explained.
Besides Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, KJ Montgomery also contributed to Well Vol. 2: Stories of Hope, Healing and Happiness, a book that made its official debut in September.

As for joining Finding Joy In the Journey, she said: “It is important to never give up during your medical challenges. You know your body better than anyone else. If something doesn’t feel right, do not be afraid to speak up. You must advocate for yourself. (My chapter in this book is) to remind people to be a strong and trust in Him. Share the knowledge you have learned so that others will have a smoother, less complicated path.
Other authorship projects are forthcoming, KJ Montgomery announced.
“I plan to be a co-author in another devotional, as well as other projects,” she said. “Also, I am looking forward to sharing my story in my own books. My goal is to empower others through my writing. I also want people to know that invisible diseases are real. Just because you cannot physically see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Advocate for yourself, stay strong, and never give up.”
