Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. (1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV)
OWNING THE MOMENT
What a remarkably brilliant weekend it was for Georgia business couple Joe and Denise Gordon.
The owners of Celestial Eats Nutrition and Wellness & Celestial Eats Café — their Buford, Georgia-based health and wellness ventures that have become fixtures for specializing in all things nutrition catering, particularly for individuals with food sensitivity, allergy and intolerance — the Gordons on Friday hosted their inaugural Detox Bootcamp: Mind, Body & Soul.
A virtual event that aired via Zoom and was powered by Celestial Eats, the Gordons’ Detox Bootcamp, for what its worth, amassed a rash of rave reviews from attendees, many of whom are already looking for the Year No. 2 of this event.
Said one attendee of the Detox Bootcamp: Mind, Body & Soul: “It was very informative. You kept my attention the entire time, and you know my attention span is that of a goldfish. The food looked delicious. I didn’t know apple cider vinegar allows you to absorb vegetables. Thanks for sharing that. It was a great session. I am reaching for apple cider and bean soaking.”

An event that was as good advertised, the Gordons essentially came away inspired about next year’s Detox Bootcamp, given their audience subsequently had garnered some pertinent information that could shape their lives for years to come.
“I think it is important to inspire those around me because we all need to be inspired,” Denise Gordon said. “We all need to know that though there are certain limitations, and it does not stop us from living the best life that God intended us to have. He created all things for us to enjoy. We should make every effort to enjoy life unhindered and unbothered.”
Since Making Headline News’ previous story surrounding the Gordons’ was released, Denise Gordon announced the highly-anticipated debut of A Clean Plate: Enjoying Life One Bite At A Time Gluten & Dairy Free, the couple’s cookbook that made its recent debut.

The book is comprised mostly of what this couple describes as a variety of Caribbean traditions, as well as gluten and dairy free cuisine.
As for the inaugural Detox Bootcamp, such a notable event exceeded their expectations, said the Gordons, whose featured venture customarily offers nutrition consultation and wellness enrichment, as well as seven organic marinade sauces.
“This bootcamp was geared to address the spiritual and natural aspect of our body, mind, body and soul,” Denise Gordon explained. “We tend to think that there is no correlation between what’s inward and the outward as it relates to our health. It’s important to understand that we only have one body, and we must take care of it.
“This very same body does not belong to us, but it belongs to God,” continued Denise Gordon, referencing 1 Corinthians 6:19. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. Detoxification should be an ongoing process. We must strive to function to the capacity as God intended, both spiritually and physically. How can we achieve that if we are constantly full of junk? Dump the unwanted excess and let’s move towards the godly nutrition God has for each of us. Let us allow God to rid us of all the toxins that are quickly poisoning our systems and causing systemic issues both spiritually and naturally. Those who know better, do better.”
A rising business venture that is steadily attracting an international presence, next year’s Detox Bootcamp figures to be as good as advertised.

Much like the inaugural one.
“Our personal mission to ensure that we educate, cultivate, and prepare everyone we come in contact with that eating healthy does not have to be considered punishment,” said Denise Gordon, who was inspired by family friend and mentor, Dr. Louise Boxill, MD, to move forward with her health and wellness endeavor and bootcamp. “Nor does it have to be something temporary. Eating healthy can be both tasty and beneficial to one’s health.”
