Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
GRACEFUL INVESTMENT
DALLAS — It’s no secret the coronavirus outbreak changed the world as we know it.
For Grace L. Davis, however, she was determined to view this unprecedented global pandemic from God’s perspective.
The founder and chief executive officer of Graceful New Beginnings, LLC, Davis, like many faith-based entrepreneurs, was faced with an array of hurdles about which she had to clear amid the global crisis known as COVID-19.
“COVID-19 hit early 2020, which has caused us to reconstruct to reopen (later that year),” Davis told Making Headline News this week. “It is our goal to house boys that have been placed in the state system under the supervision of the Child Protective Services and surrounding placements services. We cater to children that is from broken homes, former abuse, and neglect.”

A Houston, Texas-area organization, Graceful New Beginnings was originally established in 2014 and operates as a group home for boys ranging in ages five-to-nine.
Eight-plus year removed from its inception, Davis’ featured business endeavor has since partnered with her longtime friend, William D. Wright, to form what is currently known as Graceful New Beginnings, LLC and D & W Investments, LLC.
D & W Investments is a small investors company organized to assist low-and-moderate-income buyers with affordable housing in the Houston Metro area.

“We are not a mortgage broker, finance, real-estate agency, or firm,” Davis said of D & W Investments. “We are a part of a small group of investors partnering together to purchase land and/or property for sale due to tax liens, foreclosures, and distressed property owners.
“Graceful New Beginnings, LLC and D & W Investments are designed or, shall I say, originated to help others,” Davis, Natchitoches, Louisiana, added. “Our businesses, in my opinion, give us the opportunity to help others excel in life no matter what the age bracket is.”
According to Davis and Wright, amongst the things they especially find intriguing is that through their solid partnership, “there is not a whole of competition in this season,” they emphasized.
“It is my desire to continue putting my best effort forward, using my talent, my time, my education along with the abilities God has given me to help others,” Davis said. “I am not in competition with anyone. I feel no matter what I do, I will win because of the anointing of God on my life.”
To her credit, coupled with the divine calling on her life, Davis doesn’t shy away from the notion that Jesus Christ is the Centerpiece of an entrepreneurship tenure that has brought her a considerable amount of success.
Along with functioning in her element as an accomplished businesswoman, Davis is an author, public speaker, and licensed minister who has become a fixture for Progressive New Hope Baptist Church (under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. Lamon Atkins).

Progressive New Hope is located at 3106 Paige Street in Houston (or what is suitably known as Third Ward Texas).
Having garnered more 20 years of experience in the consulting business arena, Davis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from Ashford University.
She is the recipient of numerous accomplishments as both an entrepreneur and realtor.
Wright, meanwhile, is former student at Texas Southern University and, while overseeing the day-to-operations of D & W Investments, he serves as the Vice-President of Graceful New Beginnings, LLC.
Like Davis, Wright encountered his share of entrepreneurial obstacles amid the global pandemic.
“COVID hit early in 2020. Therefore, we had to reconstruct and are still in the reconstructing phase,” Wright, a native of Houston, told MHN. “The drive that has caused us to reconstruct is the fact that these children — especially boys — are in the state system such as children from broken homes, former abuse, and neglect, etc.”
As Wright explained, the investment company is what he appropriately labels “a different story.”
“The main goal here is to assist low-and moderate-income buyers with affordable housing in the Houston Metro area,” Wright said. “We are not a mortgage broker, finance company or lenders, real-estate agency, or firm. We are a small group of investors partnering together to purchase land and/or property for sale due to tax liens and foreclosures due to distressed homeowners.”
DESTINY STEPS
Added Wright, a 1969 alum of Houston’s historic Yates High School:
“Competition is not the factor in neither business. Personally, we intend to work harder than probably we have ever worked before because these businesses represent us. Because I am starting a little late in the business spectrum as a business owner, I plan to deliver more, get better every day, knowing that the benefits will be far greater in the end, not only for us, but those we will help along the way.”
Although the officially openings of both companies are separated by approximately one year, Davis and Wright agree that both businesses’ best and brightest days are well ahead of them.
“Both companies are relatively new, but, as visionaries, we see ourselves opening in other cities throughout Texas,” Wright said. “Personally, I have traveled to more than 100 countries in my career and, even then, I could see a great need to help others. We have not gone outside the perimeters of Texas, but it is our goal to explore other cities with our venture.”
Said Davis: “I believe the word of God, (which says), ‘If you are willing and obedient, you can eat the good of the land.’ The good does not always mean money. It can be good health, peace, and good relationships. I will continue to give God all the glory in everything I do.”
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Never mind that the coronavirus outbreak has changed the world as we know it.
If nothing, amongst the things to which Wright and Davis can greatly attest is that we serve a God Who will never leave, nor forsake us.
In Jesus Name.
