Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
REAPING A HARVEST
The No. 8, according to scripture, signifies a new beginning.
It is a number that is centered on hope.
New horizons.
A bright future.
For Deborah Juniper-Frye, 2022 undoubtedly was a memorable, life-altering year, one that, because of close-knit relationship with Almighty God, coupled with the divine calling on her life, could be appropriately described as a new beginning in many aspects for the Virginia Beach, Virginia-based certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, who has been named Making Headline News Woman of The Year for 2022, as announced by the publication’s editorial staff in the final quarter of the year.
Juniper-Frye joins longtime Detroit businesswoman Pam Perry and accomplished Atlanta entrepreneur LaQuita Parks in acquiring MHN’s most covenant honor.

A beloved, well-respected author in her own right, Juniper-Frye earned widespread praise for spearheading Book No. 8, this one entitled Grief In Colour, an intriguingly fascinating published project she released on January 10, 2022 in honor of my husband and father’s birthday.
Not to be outdone, Juniper-Frye subsequently jumpstarted her new beginning as a Visionary Author when she hosted Grief Through His Eyes: Seeing Grief From His Point Of View, her high-anticipated first anthology that is accompanied by a slew of life-altering, emotionally-driven stories of her male counterparts.
Having graced the pages of seven books in 2022 — six of which emerged as bestsellers — it is a foregone conclusion that Juniper-Frye’s collaborative book project, by all accounts, was a defining moment during a year that will go down as a banner one for the owner and CEO of Grief Care Consulting.
“If I had to put a name to it, I would sum up this year as ‘grief wrapped in exhilaration,’” Juniper-Frye told Making Headline News. “I have learned that with great highs, there are great lows right around the corner. I lost one of my best girlfriends in January, my father-in-love in March, and my sister in October, but yet, God has allowed it to be a year of resilience and refocusing in the midst of great grief.”
To her credit, Juniper-Frye’s Grief Through His Eyes: Seeing Grief From His Point Of View is comprised of what she describes as “14 courageous men,” each of whom shared their “authentic story” with the world.
For their valiant efforts, Juniper-Frye’s anthology became as No. 1 Bestseller.
“Listen, God Almighty gets all of this credit,” said Juniper-Frye, assessing her notable achievements in 2022. “My amazing husband (Michael Frye), who pours out his undying love and support for all of my endeavors. And to me for not throwing in the towel and giving up when I had so many reasons to do so. I am so appreciative to my coach, Latrece Williams-McKnight, and to every person who sowed into my vision and dreams.”
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Besides producing and contributing to a number of books, 2022 was a year during which Juniper-Frye was featured in several magazines and wrote monthly articles as a contributing writer in the Own It Magazine. Also, she was a recipient for Female Author of the Year Award from Power & Grace Leaders Inc.
Now that she’s been blessed to witness the dawning of a new year, Juniper-Frye doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s expecting an even greater move of God in 2023.
And beyond.
“(I have plans of) continuing to serve the community with grief support and encouragement,” said Juniper-Frye, who also announced the forthcoming launching of her second anthology, Grief Through His Eyes Volume 2, this summer.

In addition, Juniper-Frye said she plans to refocus and devise ways to enhance Grief Care Consulting, LLC, her featured business endeavor, as well as establish lessons and programs that will inspire and equip the grieving soul.
Interestingly enough, she said plans are in the works to create what she describes as a “space of calm” where people feel comfortable to share their grief secrets and “become free,” she emphasized.
AND IT CAME TO PASS
“This (past) year will go down as a memorable one because I had to be intentional to keep going in spite of what I saw and felt,” Juniper-Frye said. “So many times, I had to lean on these scriptures (James 1:1-3) as a reminder to my why: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:2-4).
“This latest accomplishment has been a true blessing and a culmination of steady work to display my purpose and passion, to assist the grieving over the bridge of heartache.”
With God, her Helper, steering the way.
What a memorable year it was.
