A collaborative written that had created a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms long before its ceremonious release this week, Dr. Whitaker’s Daddy’s Girl: Living After The Loss of A Legend undoubtedly is as good as advertised and figures to be an intriguing read for years to come.
Days removed from having graced a global stage that was centered around Super Bowl LVII, Dr. Whitaker said she has now shifted her focus on gaining attention for Daddy’s Girl: Living After The Loss of A Legend to by metropolitan DC area media outlets in her fervent quest of sharing her story and speaking more about and promoting her newly-produced anthology.
Amongst the reasons, Dr. Whitaker said, is that the anniversary of her parents’ death is February 25.
A well-respected Maryland Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Whitaker’s parents were killed in a car accident in 2006.
“I was devastated by that accident,” said Dr. Whitaker, referring to the awe-inspiring, life-altering developments surrounding her featured book and latest milestone that landed her on a global sports-related platform. “(I’m destined) to share my lessons learned and my passion, and insight shows that anything is possible and God always had a plan.”
Interestingly enough, Dr. Whitaker is confident now that she has formed a partnership with a digital network show, such an intriguing development could very well lead to even more national exposure for her credible brand and new book.
Surely, the notable connections she made during Super Bowl week, figures to prove beneficial — and profitable — for years to come, a trend that undoubtedly would have made her parents proud.
“My parents (Honorable Virginia Child’s Burnette and Dr. Wilbur H. Burnette) were powerhouses in their respective rights,” Dr. Whitaker told MHN. “My mother was a revered high school teacher, botanist, and appointed political figure. My dad was a beloved dentist who cared for all he encountered. The anniversary of their tragic death is February 25. They instilled passion, persistence, and excellence, qualities that I embrace daily.”
Indeed, she does, as evidenced by her latest milestone, one that was witnessed and thrust on a massive global stage leading to the kickoff of Super Bowl LVII.
Nearly two full months into 2023, Dr. Whitaker already has compiled a rather impressive itinerary and, to her credit, she has landed speaking engagements for the Farm Bureau Association, Yale Women’s Conference, as well as the International Association of Ministers’ Widows, just to name a few.
