An empowerment assembly that will feature a panelist from a “A Male’s Perspective,” The Power of The Pen The Author’s Expo will include a networking and special awards segment and will be co-hosted by Minister Mone’t Horton.
As part of Making Headline News’ advance coverage of Bishop T. D. Jakes’ International Leadership Summit May 4-6 in Orlando, Dr. Holmes spoke at length about his annual empowerment expo that, in recent years, has proven beneficial for writers and aspiring authors.
“The purpose is to bring culture and community together,” Dr. Holmes, a certified life coach, author, and radio show host, told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “(This expo is designed) to show the power of collaboration and networking.”
Interestingly enough, Dr. Holmes said a few tweaks — but nothing major — were implemented after last year’s expo.

“Changes from last year to this year are from another level and perspective,” Dr. Holmes said. “(There will be) an all-black male panel. The public has been great at responding.”
In addition, vendor spaces will be available during this four-hour expo and those interested should call 443-682-5074, organizers for The Power of The Pen The Author’s Expo said.
Dr. Holmes said what he likes the most about his annual expo is that it serves as a golden opportunity for writers and authors to acquire essential information about their respective crafts. Most importantly, it’s a chance for them to network with like-minded individuals.
“(This expo is necessary for) just for being able to bring the community and culture together for fellowship,” Dr. Holmes told MHN.
A longtime author of several books who is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Dr. Holmes has earned high praise for his featured written work, The Power of The Seed, his 2015-released, 90-page project that has become one of his most successful and most sought-after books to date.
