And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming — it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. (Habakkuk 2:2-3/MSG)
REPRESENTIN’ DA SIP
As far as her lofty aspirations of becoming an author goes, Cheequanda McDonald could be appropriately described as vision focused.
To her credit, she has been for quite some time.
“God gave me vision to write a book a couple years ago,” McDonald, a rising Meridian, Mississippi-based writer, told Making Headline News this week.
Mission accomplished for McDonald, an accomplished Mid-South homecare provider who is just weeks away from witnessing her authorship adventure come to fruition.

The owner of Middle Source Care Services, LLC, McDonald is one of 13 co-authors who will grace the pages of Home Care Around The Globe Volume I, Dr. Wright’s anthology that will make its ceremonious debut March 9 amid International Women’s Day.
Generally, Home Care Around The Globe Volume I is endeavored in large part to serve as a movement, of sorts, one designed to educate, empower, collaborate, and innovate together.
McDonald penned the designated chapter entitled, Good, Bad, and the Ugly for an anthology that is currently in its production’s final stages.
Presale orders for the book are effectively underway. McDonald’s book can be purchased by contacting her via her Facebook page (under “Bianca Mcdonald“) or by sending email to [email protected].
As part of Making Headline News’ advance national media coverage for Bishop T. D. Jakes 2024 International Leadership Summit from Dallas March 21-23, McDonald emphasized, among other things, she felt inspired to join Dr. Wright’s book collaboration, in large part because she was destined to connect with like-minded women of color as a strategic way to share things of mutual interests.
“(I wanted to collaborate with) black women that are in homecare and to share their takes on the business as well,” McDonald told MHN. “Also, I just want to see women of color in this role and leading. Also, to see how great an impact it will be for each community.”
McDonald began composing her selected chapter last May and needed somewhere in the neighborhood of three months to put the final touches to it.
Mission accomplished for this neophyte author, whose authorship experience has been nothing short of remarkable.
And memorable, of course.
“The divine message is life events can change anything, but you must be prepared so you won’t to have to get ready when a trial and tribulation occur,” McDonald said. “Business is hard, life is hard, but don’t quit because it’s a wild ride when you are aligning yourself with God.”

Since word spread of her becoming a first-time author, McDonald has fielded a slew of rave reviews.
“The feedback I have garnered from this book is phone calls and texts, saying what is the book about,” McDonald recalls. “(Some people told me) ‘You didn’t tell me you were writing a book How did you get started?’ Some people shocked and amazed that a small-town country girl is showing what we can do if we put our minds to it.”
For what it’s worth, McDonald doesn’t shy away from the notion that Home Care Around The Globe Volume I is just a glimpse of God’s glory for her life.
Today. And beyond.
“This book is just the beginning for what God has in store for me,” said McDonald, adding that future books on the horizon. “I’m going with the flow, not on my own understanding, because I have tried it my way and that usually doesn’t work out as planned.”
SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE
More than anything, though, amongst the things for which McDonald is grateful is that she diligently exercised her faith, all the while putting her long-awaited vision into action.
Now, she said, the time has come for her to empower others to follow suit.
“Just start and know you are not alone,” McDonald said. “God gave you vision. Remember, it’s now for you to figure out the rest. I constantly must tell myself that.”
For her valiant efforts, she’s steadily reaping favorable results in the process.
