Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
GOD-APPOINTED ELEVATION
For what it’s worth, it’s safe to assume Dr. Sybil M Sloan’s divine purpose is connected to the legacy of one of her beloved relatives.
That’s because approximately eight months ago, Dr. Sloan was approached with the golden opportunity of succeeding her uncle, Dr. Benny Sloan Sr., as the President of the historic Grace Biblical College.
As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Second Annual Woman Evolve Conference that takes place September 26-28 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Dr. Sloan, an accomplished Alabama faith-leader and media mogul, emphasized, among other things, her rise to replacing her uncle to lead Grace Biblical College comes amid humble beginnings.

“I am humbled, grateful, and honored,” Dr. Sloan told MHN this week.
Founded in 2018, Grace Biblical College — suitably known as GBC — has become a fixture to the Body of Christ, given it has garnered a keen reputation for training and equipping the people of God.

“My goal is to help the Body of Christ to find strong and effective leaders that will impact the world,” Dr. Benny Sloan Sr. said in a detailed synopsis of his institution via https://www.gracebis.org/about. “It has always been my dream and vision to teach others before serving as Dean of the North Carolina Living Water Biblical Institute.
“I was inspired to walk out on faith by the leadership of the Holy Spirit to start my very own Biblical school after much prayer. As I took the first initiative step, the doors were being open wide. I give God all the glory and the praise and honor as he allows me to see my vision come true. I knew then it was God who gave the final approval for my school, it was a rough journey getting here but look at God. We are here to help advance the Kingdom of God in training the body of Christ to go forward and to preach and teach the word of God.”
Generally, GBC’ vision is centered in large part on the administers ensuring that this credible Biblical institution goes beyond the Carolinas, thus “reach out as far as God will allow us to go,’ according to a spokesperson for the school.
“We are in the last days and souls are hungry for the word and now is the time to make disciples so that they can go forward in making disciples to enhance the Kingdom of God,” Dr. Benny Sloan Sr. said.
SOLID SUPPORTING CAST
As for her having been appointed to lead the next generation of GBC scholars, Sloan said it is a life-altering milestone she doesn’t merely take lightly.
“(My strategic mission is) to rebuild the school and establish more schools in different states,” Dr. Sloan, a native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, said.
Dr. Sloan said plans are the in works to cease operations of Alabama-based B-On-U Theological Institute.
Also, since her ceremonious appointment to as GBC’s President, Dr. Sloan has announced the appointments of three individuals to her staff: Brittany D. Sloan, Executive Administrator the President; Dr. Kevin Rivers, Global Campus Recruiting Specialist, Dr. Twanda M Sumlar, Chancellor.
