Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17/KJV)
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
When asked to assess her latest authorship milestone, Phylicia Renaye Spaulding referred to it as a divine confirmation, of sorts.
Yep. That’s just like God.
“I’ve always been a writer, but when the opportunity to contribute to this anthology presented itself, I had just released my first (book), Spaulding, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, referring to her latest writings after witnessing her authorship debut come full circle with the release of Dating After Divorce Coaching Journal. “It was a divine confirmation that my journey and experiences could inspire others.”
Indeed, it was for Spaulding, one of 38 co-authors who has embraced the golden opportunity to grace the pages of Turning My Pain Into Purpose: Volume 2, New York Visionary Author Dr. Shana Gourdine’s anthology that will debut in Spring 2025.

For Spaulding, a Lexington, Kentucky-based author, 2024 could be appropriately described as a banner year for this accomplished writer, who managed to compose three books during that timeframe.
For what it’s worth, the awe-inspiring events leading to her initial book project are experiences she will relish for years to come.
“I began this journey of storytelling as a way to process and reflect on where God has brought me through the challenges of divorce,” Spaulding, a native of Danville, Kentucky, told MHN. “Writing became a healing tool for me and has since translated into creating self-help resources for individuals around the world who are navigating their own journeys of healing and growth. I began contributing to Turning My Pain Into Purpose in early 2024 and completed my portion later that year.”

Much to her delight, Spaulding — who’s suitably known as Phylicia Renaye — acknowledged that joining Dr. Gourdine’s collaborative book project, by all accounts, aligns with her divine purpose as an author, given the outpour of public support she’s inherited.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” Spaulding said. “Readers have shared how my story inspired them to trust God through their own struggles and to see their pain as part of a larger purpose. Many have found the tools and insights in my journals to be practical and empowering for their healing journey.”
Interestingly enough, Spaulding has garnered high praise for composing Divorce Coaching Journal: A Compass For Rediscovering Yourself, her 120-page featured written work that debuted in February 2024.
“I’m Phylicia Renaye, a divorce coach,” Spaulding writes via Amazon.com. “I believe in the sanctity of marriage. Despite my own divorce almost seven years ago, I’m committed to upholding the marriage covenant. My goal is to support and uplift those going through divorce, reminding them that God can turn challenges into opportunities.
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
“I’m a God-fearing prayer warrior with big faith, offering real and relatable guidance. As a therapist, life coach, and U.S. Army veteran, I’m here to stand by your side and root for your success,” Spaulding continued via Amazon.com. I am called to uplift and encourage those who need help realizing their pain is a weapon. It is the very fuel needed to push them into their purpose. I believe that all things work together for our good, according to the call, will and purpose God has on our lives.
“I am uniquely positioned to do this work. In my own life something that was meant to hurt me, kill me, and take me to a low place. God used me as a vehicle to push, elevate, and launch me into my divine call and purpose. I’m called to help you overcome divorce — whether it’s divorce of a person, place, or things such as faulty mindsets and/or addictions. Journaling is therapeutic and it can help you walk into the next chapter of your life.”

Besides Turning My Pain Into Purpose: Volume 2 and Divorce Coaching Journal: A Compass For Rediscovering Yourself, Spaulding authored Broken to Masterpiece Affirmation Workbook, which also debuted in 2024.
Additional books are forthcoming, she told MHN.
“I am currently planning additional resources and workbooks that focus on healing, faith, and rebuilding after divorce,” Spaulding said. “I aim to expand my Dating After Divorce series to include more in-depth topics like emotional resilience, navigating single parenting, and creating healthy, faith-based relationships.”
HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW
More than anything, Spaulding emphasized, her trio of books are a testament to her God-manifested purpose which, as she points out, is centered in large part on helping others heal, grow, and realign with His plan for their lives.
“(These books) serve as a resource for guiding individuals through their own pain and into a life filled with hope, healing, and purpose,” said Spaulding, adding that she’s seeking opportunities to promote my books through workshops, podcasts, and conferences. “I want readers to know that healing is possible, no matter how deep the pain. God is faithful, and He can transform brokenness into a masterpiece. My books are not just tools for healing but a testament to the transformative power of faith, resilience, and purpose-driven living.”
Yep. That’s just like God.
