A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly, and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24/KJV)
IT WAS ALL A DREAM

That must’ve been some kind of dream.
“God have given me the vision to write this book in a dream,” Natasha Cook, a Baltimore, Maryland-based author, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding the production of her featured book. “In the dream He gave me, I saw a box with a lid on top closed. When I opened the lid, I would see Chapter 1. This dream came to me twice on two different nights. That’s how I knew that the God wanted me to write a book.”
The book to which Cook is alluding is Friends B4 Enemies, her first solo-authored project that made its ceremonious debut in Fall 2023.
A riveting, fascinating published masterpiece that was officially released on November 7, 2023, Cook emphasized, among other things, she was destined to produce her 158-page featured book in large part because she wanted her voice to be heard.

“I wanted other readers to know that you are not alone, and you are not the only one that is going through somethings,” Cook told MHN as part its national media coverage in commemorating Women’s History Month March 1-31. “In this book, some of it is fiction and some of it is real life experiences that I have went through. For example: betrayal, dishonesty, love, friendship, trust and, most importantly, family.”
A remarkably incredible read Cook began constructing in January 2023, this accomplished author needed approximately five months to complete a project that is as good as advertised.
“I would write in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep, and I would also write while sitting in my car waiting for my daughter to get out of dance practice,” Cook recalls.

For her valiant efforts, she’s become the beneficiary of an assortment of rave reviews.
“After reading this book many people have told me that they could not put the book down,” Cook said. “Another person told me that they have read the book in two days. I had another person tell me that this needs to be turned into a movie. Which makes me feel so good to hear such positive feedback. Another person (said to) me, ‘I know it’s going to be a Part 2, so please tell me that it’s going to be a Part 2.’ And all I can say is, ‘I’m working on it. Hopefully by Winter of 2025, it will be completed…the Lord’s will.’”
When asked what divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience by way of Friends B4 Enemies, Cook said:
“I want the message from my book to let people know that there are some people in the world who seem to have the best interest for your life but will turn on you in a split of a sec. No matter if it’s family, friends, or relationships. People will always show you who they are, and when they show you, please believe it. I also want people to take away from this book the flipside: that family, friendship, and relationships are beautiful. No matter what, they will always have your back through good and bad.”
After making her authorship debut in 2023, Cook in December 2025 assembled her sophomore book project, this one entitled Turning My Pain Into Purpose, an anthology that is hosted by New York Visionary Author, Dr. Shana Gourdine.
Then in January, Cook co-authored Through Tori’s Eyes, a children’s book about Autism, with her, with my daughter.
GOD-ORDERED STEPS

Other books, she said, are currently in the works. Interestingly enough, Cook’s notable works as a rising author has given way to wave of media coverage, most notably podcasts, news magazines, and via YouTube.
“I plan to write Part 2 of Friends B4 Enemies, which I am praying that I will be finished by summer and, prayerfully, be released by winter 2025,” Cook told MHN. “I am also planning on doing a series for Through Tori’ Eyes about a child with autism. I want Tori and Cousin Travis to go to the aquarium, go to the zoo, and many more (places).”
