Houston-area businessman Christopher Charles Evans having a Texas-size impact as a thriving, successful interior designer

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)

DALLAS — When striking up a conversation with Christopher Charles Evans, it wouldn’t take long for one to become thoroughly enlightened of the fact that his reputation is such that he steadfastly goes after that he believes would add a real sense of wholeness and value to his life.

That, in a nutshell, practically sums up why the above passage is so befitting for a man who, by all accounts, aspires daily to maximize his potential with God, His helper, leading the way.

“It is imperative that I esteem and inspire others daily, because it is a part of the human experience,” Evans told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “We are not allotted life, breath and being for our own sole purpose.  We are here to ensure that we all make the journey in becoming our best selves.  There are times that the work in doing that requires help and a hand from those we encounter either daily or just once.”

To his credit, Evans undoubtedly has become one who is rather resourceful, accommodating, efficient and downright passionate, particularly as it pertains to esteeming others daily.

A military veteran who once served six years in the United States Army as an Administrative Specialist,” Evans, 45, is a man who’s armed with an assortment of gifts and talents, especially from an entrepreneurship standpoint.

A longtime professional interior designer, Evans is owner and chief operating officer for Christopher Charles Interiors and Indigo Red, LLC, a Houston-area full service interior design firm for both residential and commercial projects.

Having officially opened for operations in 2010, Evans’ business venture is geared largely toward providing design services for new construction, remodels, staging, private and commercial events and home staging for real estate sales.

In addition, his business specializes in color and art procurement, as well as offers clients the ability to experience and indulge in bold color pallets, sophisticated patterns and global textures to enhance their spaces.

“We specialize in working with our clients to create spaces that showcase extraordinary individuality, comfort, livability and style,” said Evans, explaining the mission for purpose for his rising business. “We work closely with our client’s to ensure that their time, spaces and budgets are respected and attended to in the highest regard.”

A native of Houston and a proud graduate of Alief Elsik High School, Evans established Christopher Charles Interiors and Indigo Red, LLC while working as an Oil and Gas accountant for a major international Exploration and Development company in the greater Houston metropolitan area.

Prior to engaging in the competitive world of entrepreneurship, he served in Desert Storm and was ultimately honored with a Bronze Star for Valor.

As Evans eloquently explained, there is a unique correlation, of sorts, as it pertains to serving his country and starting a business.

“My military experience has provided me with the tenacity and attention to detail and communication skills that have proved valuable in my own business,” Evans said. “What I like most about being my business is that my destiny and success are entirely left in my hands. I will either eat or starve by my own hand.  There is no greater feeling in the world than having complete ownership of your own level of success.”

His success, in many aspects, was fueled in large part by what he describes as “those who fall into two groups.”

“Personally, my Uncle Luther and Aunt Marie (now deceased) always kept a beautifully appointed home,” Evans explained. “As a child I enjoyed and relished spending time at their house.  Not only was it always impeccably kept, but it was always full of laughter, food, fun and peace.  Their home created great memories just by its sheer presence and grandeur.”

And then there is the always notable professional side to his rise to success.

“On a professional level, Evans acknowledged, “I have been inspired by three individuals that I admire, honor and look at in total amazement: Kimberly Ward of Kimberly and Cameron Interiors, Michel Boyd of Michel Smith Boyd and Smith Boyd Interiors and Corey Damen Jenkins of Corey Damen Jenkins and Associates, LLC. These three individuals have inspired, encouraged and supported my pursuit of interior design directly and indirectly.  They all execute design and business in a way that make me proud to be a designer.  Each of them has a level of professionalism, excellence and humbleness that is awe inspiring.”

All of which to Evans’ credit, essentially sums up why God has destined him to blossom as the thriving, progressive businessman for which he is widely known.

“There is no greater legacy than the legacy of a word that strengthens, encourages and motivates someone to keep going and or dig deeper for the best that may be hidden or locked way inside of them,” said Evans, who first began interior designing in 2003. “This is the purpose of the human experience and existence, to see to the healing and well-being of other souls.”
