But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33 KJV)
As it pertains to her professional career, Jessica L. Currie isn’t about to play around with this thang.
If nothing, this 26-year-old businesswoman is destined to have an immediate and monumental impact, is determined to make her presence felt in ways unimaginable.
“I’m 26 years old and I’ll be 30 in a few years, so I’m trying hard to fulfill my purpose,” Currie said during an interview this week with Making Headline News.
Some pretty strong and aggressive words uttered by this thriving, flourishing businesswoman whom, aside from having evolved into an accomplished author, is devising ways to find her niche in the ever-so-competitive motivational speaking industry.
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Currie, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has deemed it essential to go after virtually everything her critics and naysayers sensed she couldn’t have, look no further than how God has strategically rescued her from the jaws of defeat, particularly during a season of her life when she essentially was setup to fail.
For starters, Currie is a once high school dropout, a downtrodden development that eventually gave way to her becoming a teenage mother who subsequently had wound up homeless.
Fortunately for her and much to her delight, a miraculously turn of events had taken place before she found herself on the brink of settling for living a life mired by defeat and chaos and disappoint, a miraculously turn of events that had God’s hands all over them.
“God is my biggest inspiration for allowing me to be doing this,” Currie said of her immeasurable gifts as a motivational speaker. “I know that what He allowed me to go through was to strengthen me and also to make others stronger (through my testimonies).”
To her credit, Currie undoubtedly has defied arguably the greatest of odds with God, her Helper, leading the way.
That’s because not only did God infuse her with the light of the Holy Spirit to make her authorship debut by way of her book entitled, “Something About A Prayer Life,” but Currie has fully accepted her divine ministerial calling, considering she has become a licensed missionary.
Talk about making a dramatic comeback for the ages, this after having endured a rather tumultuous season of her young life, during which she was set up to fail — and fail miserably.
But God…
“What I like most (about my newfound business venture) is helping other people and inspiring them that (to know that) if God can do it for me, He can do it for you,” Currie said. “My personal mission is to recreate the mindset of those people that are going through (and to remind them) that they can make it out (of turbulent times).”
Having been preaching the Gospel since she was 23 years old, Currie, to her credit, is steadily having a massive kingdom impact, considering she’s garnering a great deal of exposure and media coverage as a millennial.
“I have a couple radio interviews coming up and I’m excited to be speaking with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN),” Currie said.

As for her new book, a 51-page written document that was officially released on June 25, 2018, it is one Currie appropriately describes as “empowering,” accompanied by “daily motivation.”
While growing in Wisconsin, Currie was raised by her grandmother whom, ironically, was a licensed missionary.
Because of all about which she had overcome and conquered, Currie doesn’t shy away from the notion that she owes it to God to preach and spread the Gospel, especially during what is widely known as perilous times.
“I want to give people a reminder that they are special,” Currie said. “We all have a purpose, and (we are not to) sleep on our dreams.”
Because, after all, our purpose is surely at stake.
