MEMPHIS — In case you don’t know her, Angie Steele would like to introduce herself.
For starters, Steele is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and, to her distinctly unique credit, she is widely known what many has dubbed a “serial entrepreneur.”
Having becoming a fixture in the Memphis-metropolitan community and its surrounding areas, Steele’s entrepreneurship track record includes, among other things, her immeasurable career as a longtime professional hair stylist.
However, her professional resume extends far beyond the four walls of a beauty salon.
That’s because this proud Memphis Westwood High alum and progressive businesswoman is also a notable motivational speaker, one who’s armed with the keen knowledge, drive and mechanics greatly inspire others to see from beyond where they are and, most of all, to maximize their potential.
Wait. There’s more to a dazzling introduction of this brilliantly talented businesswoman, who has gone to great lengths to create what undoubtedly is sustained success on her part.
Steele’s professional credentials include being an Advocate For Girls And Director Of Camp S. A. S. E. (or Self-Acceptance Self Esteem), awe-inspiring, commendable trends that were birth largely through a tradition-rich upbringing that involved her routinely being exposed of entrepreneurs, particularly those in her family.
“I believe in the power of being great and being your authentic self,” Steele told Making Headline News during a recent interview. My involvement in the community consists of speaking and helping others to believe in themselves and be great.”
Aside from diligently inspiring and empowering others to achieve and do things in excellence, Steele’s community involvement is such that she’s starting to attract mainstream media headlines for all the right reasons.
Amongst the reasons is that this empowerment professional is responsible for hosting an annual summer camp in which her primary emphasis is to empower young girls to believe in themselves and, most importantly, to develop what she describes as “their God-given unique selves.”
Moreover, Steele has flourished mightily, especially as an ambassador for her native establishment, considering she has become a fixture with regards to giving her customary motivational speeches to those who need a dose — or refilling — of encouragement.
“My obstacles included getting out my own way and the passing of my mom,” Steele acknowledged.
Interesting enough, once she sensed that she could potentially become her own worst distraction, she consequently was birthed with her God-mandated formula for success.
Those effective, strategic ingredients are: Consistency. Determination. And developing what she deems a “Go Getter Attitude.”
Even to this day and unlike never before, such vital keys success are still very much prevalent in the life of Steele whom, to her credit, devises ways daily to live out her mother’s remarkable legacy, thus make Memphis proud in the process.
“My community was overwhelmed when finding out my three words, ‘Go be greater,’ won an opportunity to be added on My Cents of Style,” Steele said. “They’ve supported my T-shirt line as well as embraced all my personal public blogs on becoming your best self.”
All of which practically sums up why Steele has come up with a rather strategic, effective plan to acquire more sustained success for the remainder of this year and beyond.
“My goal is to impact the world, to become a figure people who can relate to authentically, to help spread love to those that need love, and move into television,” Steele said.
All while adding to a compellingly amazing introduction that, to her credit, is still being given.
One day at a time.
