Kay Routt is a dreamer.
A big dreamer to be more technical.
Not only is Routt widely known amongst her peers and colleagues as a woman who boasts monumental dreams but, to her credit, her reputation is such that she is accustomed to encouraging others to follow suit.
Every single chance she gets.
“I’ve always been a person that wanted so much more out of life, not only for me but for my family and others,” Routt, a native of Houston, told Making Headlines News this week while preparing to board a flight.
To grasp a thorough concept of why Routt — in the midst of boarding flight, mind you — deemed it essential to explain in detail why she is so destined to dream big daily, look no further than the immeasurable, unparalleled strides she’s made with her progressive, thriving business ventures.
A resourceful businesswoman who is an accomplished graphic designer in her own right, Routt, 35, is the proud owner and chief executive officer of Kreative Resultz Graphic Designs And Business Marketing.

In addition, she is the Co-Founder of Believe In Dreams Network, a Houston-area, community-based nonprofit organization — or 501 (c)(3) — that strives to working toward supporting vulnerable children with special education needs and people with learning disabilities.
An organization she established three years ago with her husband, William Routt, Believe In Dreams Network’s mission includes, among other things, improving the health, educational attainment, human welfare, and opportunities for youth, adults, and families in the greater Houston and surrounding areas.
In placing special emphasis on her nonprofit organization, Routt has afforded her the golden opportunity to be able to help a number of individuals in more ways than one.
“If I had to make a choice of what I would like to do for the rest of my life, it would be BID,” Routt, a Houston Sam Houston High School alum, said of her organization which services people throughout the country.
By and large, what greatly fuels Routt’s desire to push and promote BID is her willingness to help others maximize their potential despite of their limitations and shortcomings.
In a nutshell, demonstrating a heart for people is extremely key through both of her business ventures, especially BID, she acknowledged.
“My personal mission for doing this work is potential growth in others,” said Routt, a professional Computer System Educator who holds a degree in Computer Information Technology (with Project Management) from Capella University. “Helping them see that anything is reachable, achievable and possible as long as they believe.”

As for her successful graphic design business, Routt is especially pleased of the fact that her gifts routinely enables her to service consumers during even the pivotal and most crucial times, particularly as it relates to enhancing their respective businesses.
“With Kreative Resultz, I get to use my design skills that I have developed over the years,” said Routt, whose graphic design expertise spans nearly two decades. “I get to see a business project from start to finish and know that my keen eye for creativity and branding made it happen. BID is my passion, and what drives me is the look on a child, teen and sometimes even an adult’s face to know that I’ve made a difference. The sense of making a difference in a person life is so rewarding.”
As far as being of valuable help to others, well, let’s just that fortifying a servant’s heart is undoubtedly a trend by which Routt was taught as a child.
“I was raised by my dad’s parents, Pastor and Sister James Jackson, and I can’t remember a time when they weren’t helping people,” Routt said. “I mean, if it wasn’t for them, I don’t know where I would be right now.”
And then there was the life-changing impact of one of Routt’s grade school teachers whom, fortunately for her, helped steer her in the right direction.
“Later in life, I met a teacher at school, Laura Johnson, who inspired me even more to want to do great and extend my help to others,” Routt recalled. “So all that I do in BID is because of my love to help others and see them grow.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
Today, unlike never before, Routt is steadfastly walking in the divine purpose for which God created her.
How else to explain why she is the dreamer for which she is widely known?
A big dreamer to be more technical.
“First and foremost, if it wasn’t for God, anything I touch would fail,” Routt said. “My husband is my biggest supporter and inspiration. He never stands in my way…he is always there to encourage me, pray with and for me. Regardless of the situation, he never allows me to give up on my hopes and dreams.”
Having been married to William for 17-plus years — the couple exchanged nuptials immediately out of high school — the Routts have two young sons, both of whom Kay proudly says are being groomed to become successful men and productive citizens.
To her credit, her Kreative Resultz venture has serviced a host of prominent individuals, most notably former NFL player Rodney Hampton and former NBA player Kenny Thomas, just to name a few. Also, Routt’s graphic design business offers:
-

-

-
Social Media Management
As for her nonprofit institution, it also offers what is known as BID Young Entrepreneurs Program, which is one of the main programs within the organization, whereby the Routts assist youth ranging in ages 10 to 17, teaching them how to plan, develop and launch their own business.
Interestingly, Kay Routt has written a book entitled, “Plan, Develop and Launch,” which is what she describes as a simple guide to starting your own business.
“Inspiring others is a life goal,” Kay Routt said. “If I didn’t have individuals to inspire me, I would have given up or never even started. Inspiring others to think outside them self and giving them purpose is a reward all to itself. It’s not about how much money you make or how big your name is. At the end of the day, your question to yourself should be, ‘Who did I help accomplish their goals today? Who did I encourage?’”
Now we know why she is the dreamer for which she is widely known?
A big dreamer to be more technical.
