Houston author Philandis Stovall’s recalls loving memory of her son, who wrote a book before his untimely death

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10 KJV)

VICTORIOUS REGARDLESS

MUSTARDSEED FAITH — Houston author Philandis Stovall wrote the emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work entitled, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Amid Adversity, an awe-inspiring project that garnered a wave of media coverage since its much-anticipated release in nearly two years ago.

DALLAS — To his credit, little “Ziggy” reached his destiny before God ceremoniously called him home.

“I received the confirmation for writing my book when I was in the hospital with my son while he was having his bone marrow transplantation,” Philandis Philly Stovall told Making Headline News during a weekend interview, recalling the memorable developments that unfolded in July 2017, during which her son, Fre’Derick Leontez Young Redd III, was hospitalized at Texas Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.
The book to which Stovall is alluding is her emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work entitled, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Amid Adversity, an awe-inspiring project that garnered a wave of media coverage since its much-anticipated release in nearly two years ago.
A book that Stovall began composing sometime in September 2017 and needed approximately two weeks to complete, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity” is a story of one mom’s journey from despair to triumph, according to detailed breakdown by Google Books.

A book that Stovall began composing sometime in September 2017 and needed approximately two weeks to complete, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity” is a story of one mom’s journey from despair to triumph, according to detailed breakdown by Google Books.

In 2012, for instance, Stovall’s then four-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, she found herself in what she described as “a zone,” whereby all she wanted was peace and quiet.

In  no particular order.

“I was searching for sense in a situation that made no sense to me,” Stovall writes.

STAR POWER — Interestingly and much to Stovall’s delight, her book — as well as her son’s written work — has caught the attention of an array of athletes, including the Rice University football program the Houston Texans, as well as former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Interestingly, alone with her wave of thoughts and emotions, Stovall desperately wanted to “wake up” from what sense was a nightmare.

Still, the Greenville, Mississippi native demonstrated enough faith to stay awake, particularly in the spirit, considering she had come to grips with the notion that what was unfolding in her young life wasn’t merely a dream.

“This was reality and she was forced with the choice of retreating into the devastation or fighting her way through the storm,” said a Google Books spokesperson for Stovall’s “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity.’” “Finding herself on an unexpected and unwelcome path, the young mother could feel a rebirth happening. With each day and event, she found herself growing stronger and stronger.”

In 2012, for instance, Stovall’s then four-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, she found herself in what she described as “a zone,” where all she wanted was peace and quiet.

Even amid her son’s unlikely diagnosis — he wasn’t born with cancer – Stovall didn’t merely have time to cope; rather, she simply had to learn to deal with it, she’s explained time and again.

Regardless, because of her spiritually resourcefulness, Stovall’s story essentially is one whereby she had to learn of rely on her faith — the kind of faith that had ultimately given way to her exemplifying hope, particularly when that about which she encountered seemed hopeless.

But God…

“I knew from the beginning of our journey we had a purpose and reason for being assigned to go through cancer treatment,” said Stovall, when asked what was the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity.” “My handsome son wasn’t born with cancer. He was born a completely healthy baby boy.”

Still, before his health had begun to decline, Stovall miraculously aided her son mightily to fulfill his God-manifested purpose, considering “Ziggy” surprisingly wrote his very own book while in the hospital before he passed away. The title: “The Mystery of the Missing Ring,” which was published earlier this year.

The title: “The Mystery of the Missing Ring,” which was published earlier this year.

Talk about a mother and child collectively devising ways to weather arguably the toughest of adversity.

“I have gotten overwhelmingly amazing reviews and feedback on my memoir, including five-star ratings,” Stovall said. “I was told prophetically I have a bestselling book and that’s what I believe.”

Interestingly and much to Stovall’s delight, her book — as well as her son’s written work — has caught the attention of an array of athletes, including the Rice University football program the Houston Texans, as well as former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Because of her spiritually resourcefulness, Stovall’s story essentially is one whereby she had to learn of rely on her faith — the kind of faith that had ultimately given way to her exemplifying hope, particularly when that about which she encountered seemed hopeless.

“This memoir shares a major part of my life and how I handled it being a single mother of two children with one being diagnosed with cancer,” said Stovall, adding “more personal book projects” are forthcoming much sooner than later. “I have been able to share my strengths, weaknesses, and faith in God words, no matter what the world says. I have been able to start and continue one of my passions, which is helping others with my nonprofit organization efforts.”

Surely, because of keen perseverance, “Ziggy” is peeping through the clouds above and giving his mom’s a well-deserved thumbs up.

Houston author Brandi Ashford writes a spiritually-empowering book for such a pivotal time as now

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5 NIV)

FREEDOM OF EXCELLENCE

STAYING IN FAITH — A native of Houston, Prophetess Brandi Ashford has appropriately accepted and embraced yet another God-mandated assignment, most notably as the mastermind behind the newly-released book entitled, “Keys to Freedom 30 Day Enlightenment and Morning Glory.”

DALLAS — A couple of hours before midday CST on Friday, Prophetess Brandi Ashford took to her Facebook page, where she staged to her timeline a rather absorbing, yet familiar post.

Said Ashford before her 2,600-plus social media followers: Never let someone’s negative opinion become your reality.
For Ashford, such a prevalent catchphrase, to her credit, has become a personal theme, of sorts, especially for a devout woman of faith, who has become widely known as “The Fireball.”
Because truth be told, Ashford’s keen reputation is such that she not only hasn’t merely allowed the negative perceptions of others distract or deter her from her God-orchestrated purpose. But most importantly, she goes to great lengths to ensure that she will continue to bask in the glory of walking in the divine purpose for which she was created.

Widely dubbed, “a power packed 30-day devotional written to shift your life,” Ashford’s “Keys to Freedom: 30 Day Enlightenment and Morning Glory” is extremely essential for such a pivotal time as now, for such a time that, according to various Biblical scholars, has been widely regarded as “these last and evil days” or “the last of the last and evil days.”

Consider, for instance, Ashford’s awe-inspiring vision through the ever-so-competitive world of authorship.

Or, to put it more forthrightly, a time whereby countless of believers essentially are steering from the household of faith.

A longtime resident of Houston, amongst the things about which Ashford is especially grateful is that God had strategically handpicked her to construct a spiritually-enhancing and spiritually-gut-checking project that figures to impact the kingdom mightily — much sooner than later.

As Ashford explained during an interview this week with Making Headline News, she has become destined to help advance the kingdom, thus do whatever in her God-given power to help provide those in the Body of Christ with some much-needed spiritual relief, courtesy of her month-long devotionals.

“The divine message I am sending to my (reading) audience is that you have the keys to unlock freedom within you,” said Ashford, offering a detailed and solid synopsis of her newly-assembled book.

“This book is part of my purpose that God has created for me, because I was so attached to bondage to where I lived, talked, and walked until I surrendered myself to God,” Ashford explained.

Much to her delight, once she had made up her mind to sellout completely unto God, something that ultimately gotten a hold of her (as an old songwriter once wrote).

“I became free,” said Ashford, recalling how her life-changing had all unfolded. “I used my keys to unlock my freedom and walk in purpose.’

And, the rest, as they say, was history.

THUS SAID THE LORD…

Look at her today, walking fervently in her divine purpose for such a pivotal time as now, for such a time that, according to various Biblical scholars, has been widely regarded as “these last and evil days” or “the last of the last and evil days.”

In case you’ve forgotten.

Now just days away from the release of “Keys to Freedom: 30 Day Enlightenment and Morning Glory,” Ashford’s gift is already making a room for her through this book, considering she will be on hand in Atlanta the first weekend in June for the much-anticipated unveiling of her written work.

Next up for this Christian-based author: the upcoming release of Book No. 2, this one entitled, “Divorcing My Past To walk In Destiny” at a date that has yet to be announced. As for her latest book, well, Ashford, doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s excited to have taken yet another major step in her ministry.

“I chose to produce this book because one day, I was riding to work that morning,  I was having a long week that was very stressful and I said, ‘God I want to do a daily devotional that women can have when they get up in the morning and read day-by-day,” Ashford recalled. “And it came to mind: ‘Keys To Freedom Enlightenment And Morning Glory.’”

A positive, life-changing perception that has become her reality.

Yep. That’s just like God.

Houston author Brittney Carr escapes suicide time and again, she explains in her new book

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

DALLAS — As far as Brittney Carr is concerned, it literally goes without saying.

That is, she undoubtedly thanks God for her husband, Darius Carr, who unquestionably has been her grandest supporter ever since God has joined them together.

Consider, for instance, how in October 2018, during which God had strategically given Brittney Carr the awe-inspiring vision to make her authorship debut, courtesy of her book entitled, F.E.A.R., the acronym that stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.

SURROUNDED BY ANGELS

DESTINY STEPS — In October 2018, God had strategically given Houston author Brittney Carr the awe-inspiring vision to make her authorship debut, courtesy of her book entitled, F.E.A.R., the acronym that stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.

A 79-page project that Brittney Carr needed somewhere in the neighborhood of three months to assemble, F.E.A.R. is less than two months removed from having made its ceremonious release on the market.

During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Brittney Carr credited her beloved companion for having fueled her desire to compose a book that figures to help advance the kingdom — much sooner than later.

“God gave me the vision to write this book one day when my husband told me that I needed to tell people my story and that I would help many people with my testimony. So God told me to just start writing. So I started to write my story.” — Texas Author Brittney Carr

And what a remarkably compelling and thought-provoking story it is.

PURCHASE BRITTNEY CARR’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/F-R-False-Evidence-Appearing/dp/1795824484/

An emotionally-drive, tear-jerking story that recalls how this brilliant author had had been spiritually and emotionally incarcerated to the point, during which she had attempted suicide an unprecedented four times during a span of six months, Carr’s F.E.A.R. is widely deemed an inspirational, yet true story, one that serves as an instant motivator for anyone who has gone through arguably the toughest of life’s trials and tribulations.

“Nothing is ever as bad as it seems, but it’s the paralyzing F.E.A.R. that difficult circumstances in life continually produce in our minds that cause us to go to pieces when faced with extreme adversities,” said a spokesperson for Carr’s book at Amazon.com. “The mental, emotional, and spiritual effects can be catastrophic or sometimes even fatal. This book was designed to help the millions of people worldwide that are currently going through something very difficult in life such as physical health issues, mental illness, financial problems, anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, failed relationships, parenting obstacles, death of a loved one, self-esteem troubles, spiritual warfare, mental and emotional trauma, and much more.”

HUBBY KNOWS BEST — During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Brittney Carr credited, Darius Carr, her beloved companion for having fueled her desire to compose a book that figures to help advance the kingdom — much sooner than later.

For Carr, a Houston-based author, she said that while the writing process of her book wasn’t merely a lengthy one — “Maybe a couple of days, but the editing took a little longer and the procrastination of not knowing if I wanted to let people know my business,” she acknowledged — she certainly didn’t want to be ashamed of the turbulent developments she disclosed.

Still, because she was thoroughly convinced that God had strategically placed her on assignment to compose her book, she knew full well she had to tell of her story to the masses.

THEY’RE DEPENDING ON HER — To no avail, God — as only He could — didn’t allow Carr to cross paths with a premature death, in large part because, well, the purpose for which He created her wasn’t fulfilled.

And so it came to pass, Carr’s assortment of emotional and life-alter testimonies, all of which had come wrapped up in a rather pivotal message, one that reminds us, among other things, that fear is false evidence appearing real, she often says without hesitation.

“Alot of people are paralyzed by fear and they are unable to live life,” Carr said. “I was one of those people. I wasn’t afraid to die, but I was afraid to live. I hated this world and everything in it. And I was ready to go home (to heaven).”

To no avail, God — as only He could — didn’t allow Carr to cross paths with a premature death, in large part because, well, the purpose for which He created her wasn’t merely fulfilled.

That, as a result, meant she had to tough it out, thus press and navigate her way through the slew of unfavorable circumstances that arose in her young life to challenge her faith.

“Through the goodness of God, I made it through,” Carr said. “And I want to let people know that they may be in the darkest place of their lives right now, but if they just continue to trust God and pray and cry out to Him that they can get out. God is a Present Help and He is always listening and guiding His children.”

HAVE NO FEAR

TRUSTING THE PROCESS — For Carr, a Houston-based author, she said that while the writing process of her book wasn’t merely a lengthy one — “Maybe a couple of days, but the editing took a little longer and the procrastination of not knowing if I wanted to let people know my business,” she acknowledged — she certainly didn’t want to be ashamed of the turbulent developments she disclosed.

As expected, the feedback since the release of Carr’s book has been favorable.

“I have gained very positive feedback,” said Carr, adding that a two more books are on the horizon. “People have been writing me, telling me how my testimonies have inspired them in many ways.”

Much to her delight, Carr has her husband to thank for helping steer her to her divine purpose.

“My life is a testimony that I was ashamed of, but not anymore,” Carr said. “I realized I’m not the only one with life issues, and if we just tell our testimonies and not be afraid, we can all help one another get through life until we go home.”

As far as this amazing author is concerned, that literally goes without saying.

Allen Dave Funeral Homes & Crematorium amongst Texas’ finest amid Jackson Family Massacre in 2015

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES MR. AND MRS. ALLEN L. DAVE

EDITOR’S NOTE: This the first of a two-part Making Headline News series about Houston-area entrepreneur Allen L. Dave, Jr.

DALLAS — Allen L. Dave, Jr. fielded the question as if he expected it.

“(That was a) proud moment in our company history to be positioned to help,” Dave, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining in great detail the devastating and disheartening events amid the Jackson Family Massacre that transpired in Houston in August 2015.

On August 8 of that year, then-48-year-old David Ray Conley allegedly broke into his former home and held hostage Valerie and Dewayne Jackson, along with six children, including his own 13-year-old son.

HEARTS OF GOLD — For Dave, 56, that he and his family deemed it essential to offer valiant support for the Jackson family during a horrific and terrifying tragedy that attracted an international media presence and was aired on more than 35 news stations nationwide has been dubbed arguably one of the favorable highlights for a progressive, thriving entrepreneur, whose presence in the death care industry spans more than 15 years. Pictured with Dave is his wife, Micca.

Over the course of nine hours, Conley reportedly shot and killed the entire family. He then engaged in a shootout with responding police before surrendering.

A week and a half or so later, eight white caskets were erected in front of the altar inside the 2,500-seat sanctuary at Houston’s Fallbrook Church, a commendable yet emotionally-driven deed that was spearheaded by Dave and his wife, Micca, who stepped up and donated $35,000 to provide professional funeral and burial services to the Jackson family.

“We developed a new company policy to never turn a family away and give them every option available,” Allen Dave told MHN. “Every Family, Every Option, Every Time.”

WAVES OF LOVE AND KINDNESS — “We developed a new company policy to never turn a family away and give them every option available,” Allen Dave told MHN. “Every Family, Every Option, Every Time.”

Interestingly, Dave in 2010 established Death Care Management & Financial Group, LLC, which subsequently had given way to his being allowed to manage funeral homes in Texas.

Having retired from the Houston Chronicle Publishing Company after a 28-year stint in the circulation and distribution department, Dave is Southeast Texas’ only black owner and operator of crematorium services.

Owner of four funeral homes, one cemetery, and a crematorium, Dave currently manages six other funeral homes and a second crematorium in Texas and Louisiana. Interestingly, Allen Dave Funeral Homes and Cremation’s mission includes, among other things, providing what company officials describes as “paramount services to the families we serve with dignity, honor, and trust.”

THE PROVERBS 2:3 FACTOR — While the Jackson Massacre undoubtedly was a painful encounter for those affected by the tragedies, Dave doesn’t shy away from the notion that his company went to great lengths to meet a massive and dire need — with God, its Helper, leading the way.

“As a leader in the death industry, we enhance the experience of laying a loved one to rest through a personalized and caring process of education and full disclosure,” said a spokesperson for Allen Dave Funeral Homes and Cremation in a detailed synopsis of the company at http://www.allendave.com. “We are keenly aware of the financial impact death has on a family and will maintain systems and services that minimize cost while maximizing the experience.

“We are committed to the communities we serve through charitable endeavors and educational programs. We will maintain a reputation of quality and trust that will allow us to be the company of choice for insurance, burial, and cremation services. We shall continue rolling out our benchmark red carpet and white gloves services which are second to none.”

TEXAS SIZE DEVELOPMENTAccording Houston businessman Derrell Noris, a former Corporate America professional, Fresh Tech Solutionz on August 13 assembled what is known as the ‘GHBC Mobile App,’ a development that had ultimately given way to the app being officially published at the beginning of October.
“We would love to create similar mobile apps for other Chambers of Commerce around the world,” Noris told Making Headline News this week, adding that consumers can now download the ‘GHBC Mobile App’ from their Apple App store or at Google Playstore. Amongst the reasons Noris’ partnership with GHBC is especially vital is that GHBC officials requested that the mobile app be assembled so that it could be available for Apple and Android, a trend that will allow users to join the chamber, view the GHBC’s up-to-date events, search the GHBC business directory, view current job openings, connect with GHBC social media pages, view business opportunities, and even donate to the GHBC.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — Formed in September 1935, several prominent community leaders organized the Houston Negro Chamber of Commerce (or HNCC at the time) to empower and promote African-American businesses in the city. By and large, they focused on encouraging business within the African-American community. However, in 1964, under the leadership of Mack H. Hannah, Jr., the chamber changed its name to the Houston Citizens Chamber Of Commerce (or HCCC). Interestingly, even as the Chamber membership expanded mightily, it wasn’t until 2013 that the chamber rebranded its look, thus naming its institution the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce (or GHBC).

Former pro baseball icons to be honored during Joaquina Winslow’s inaugural Mayors And Players Gala Oct. 12

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES JOAQUINA WINSLOW

Joaquina Winslow isn’t just widely known as a notable ambassador throughout the Houston metropolitan area.

Interestingly, she’s a sports enthusiast in her own right.

So much, in fact, that Winslow’s Pure Urban Excellence LLC is will hold its inaugural Mayors And Players Gala.

BRIDGING MASSIVE GAPS — Longtime businesswoman Joaquina Winslow’s Pure Urban Excellence LLC is will hold its inaugural Mayors And Players Gala.

The event will take place on October 12 from 5 to 10 p.m. CST at Sugar Land Marriott Town Square, located at 16090 City Walk in Sugar Land, Texas.

A star-studded event that is expected to attract a host of politicians, as well as current and former professional athletes and sports media types, the Mayors And Players Gala will be centered largely on bridging the gap between athletes and politicians, particularly during an era in which social injustice is seemingly dominating headlines.

“This is a great chance for politicians to meet and interacts with the athletes,” Winslow, a native of Baton Rouge, told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

Most importantly, bridging what undoubtedly is a massive gap between these professionals will be the primary focus during this event, Winslow emphasized.

“It’s going to show that players and politicians can be in the same room,” said Winslow, an accomplished businesswoman who is the chief executive officer of the Baton Rouge-based Black Wall Street, a Christian-based movement that was founded in 2014.

Also, during Winslow’s inaugural gala, attendees will have the chance to witness former baseball legends, Grover “Deacon” Jones and J. R. Richard, share the platform, as well as be honored for their valiant contributions to professional sports and society.

PAVING THE WAY — A former Ithaca College star, Grover “Deacon” Jones threw right-handed, but batted left-handed and enjoyed an 11-year minor-league stint that began in 1955 through 1969, during which he batted .319 with 154 home runs and a slugging percentage of .528.

A retired player, coach, manager, and scout, Jones, 84, appeared in 40 Major League games as a first baseman and pinch hitter for the Chicago White Sox, first from 1962–63 and then in 1966.

A former Ithaca College star, Jones threw right-handed, but batted left-handed and enjoyed an 11-year minor-league stint that began in 1955 through 1969, during which he batted .319 with 154 home runs and a slugging percentage of .528.

Interestingly, Jones still holds the Midwest League record for the highest single-season batting average when he hit .409 for the Dubuque Packers in 1956. He also compiled 135 hits to accompany 26 homers and manufactured a .758 slugging percentage in only 330 at-bats.

LEAST WE FORGET — Selected with the second overall pick in the 1969 Amateur Draft by the Astros directly out of high school, J. R. Richard had ultimately made his Major League debut two seasons later, a stint that lasted through the end of the 1975 season.

As for Richard, 68, he also enjoyed a successful professional career as a starting pitcher in the big leagues from 1971 through 1980 as a member of the Houston Astros.

Selected with the second overall pick in the 1969 Amateur Draft by the Astros directly out of high school, Richard had ultimately made his Major League debut two seasons later, a stint that lasted through the end of the 1975 season.

While assuming a limited role with the Astros, Richard tossed no more than 72 innings in a season but, in 1975, he enjoyed his first full season in the majors as a starting pitcher.

SHE’S GOT CONNECTIONS —  Also, during Winslow’s inaugural gala, attendees will have the chance to witness former baseball legends, Grover “Deacon” Jones and J. R. Richard, share the platform, as well as be honored for their valiant contributions to professional sports and society.

As for her forthcoming gala, while Winslow is especially grateful to attract a gallery of big name political figures and former athletes, she emphasized that other pertinent issues and information will be addressed.

“A lot of stem cell therapy will be talked about,” said Winslow, referring to her Pure Urban Excellence movement. “So that’s an aspect I want to highlight as well.”

Prior to the start of the Mayors And Players Gala, a red carpet event will take place at 5 p.m.

Tavia Solari’s Motivating Muscles venture is a massage therapy fixture in Houston, surrounding areas

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES TAVIA SHANKS-SOLARI

To her credit, Tavia Shanks-Solari has been actively engaged in the ever-so-competitive massage therapy industry for nearly a decade.

Arguably the No. 1 reason this fitness and nutrition motivator has enjoyed sustained success: Efficient and excellent customer service, something by which this accomplished Houston-area entrepreneur has put on display since the inception of her business venture.

HARVEST SEASON — A native of nearby Booth, Texas, Tavia Shanks-Solari, 47, is owner and chief executive officer of Motivating Muscles, a well-established and credible health and wellness spa that specializes mostly in massage therapy.

“I have loved on my clients through massage for over nine years, because it is my number one priority,” Solari told Making Headline News during an interview this week. “I don’t just use massage as a platform, I also incorporate fitness and healthy eating, which I have fallen in love with, because it encompasses a well-rounded lifestyle mind, body, and spirit.”

A native of nearby Booth, Texas, Solari, 47, is owner and chief executive officer of Motivating Muscles, a well-established and credible health and wellness spa that specializes mostly in massage therapy.

Having acknowledged that she finds pleasure in motivating and inspiring people to be what she deemed as their “best them” particularly by way of their overall health, Solari admittedly battled low self-esteem for years, a trend that had greatly fueled her desire to delve off into massage therapy.

“My personal mission is motivating, energizing, and recreating a better you.” — Tavia Shanks-Solari

That, as a result, is when she essentially discovered ways to possess and savor a carefree lifestyle, accompanied by physical health.

“The competitive drive in life propelled me, because I was person who suffered from low self-esteem, not knowing my worth as a young girl, even when my mother continued encouragement and love,” Solari explained. “I had to work through some things and learned to love myself first…to be able to transfer that love and embrace others.”

GLOBAL FLAVOR — Interestingly, while Solari’s Motivating Muscles accommodates individuals ranging in ages 15 (with parental consent for minors) to 70, she’s been afforded the golden opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display in such places as Cabo St. Lucas, Cancun, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and San Diego, among other establishments.

Once she had grasped a thorough concept of what it means to embrace self-love, such an upward trend had essentially given way to Solari adopting a heart for people, something that is especially key in entrepreneurship.

Along with being the face of Motivating Muscles, Solari is a notable motivational speaker who serves as chief operating officer for Girl Chat Alumni, an area nonprofit organization that was founded by fellow Houston businesswoman Shelia Henry.

ENCAMPED BY ANGELS — Having acknowledged that she finds pleasure in motivating and inspiring people to be what she deemed as their “best them” particularly by way of their overall health, Solari admittedly battled low self-esteem for years, a trend that had greatly fueled her desire to delve off into massage therapy.

“My personal mission is motivating, energizing, and recreating a better you,” said Solari, whose educational achievements include having earned as an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Business Management, as well as a Massage Therapy License from Memorial Hermann Wellness Center.

A graduate of Houston’s James Madison High School, Solari has gone to great lengths in recent years to enhance her entrepreneurship repertoire.

For starters, she announced that a forthcoming book is presently in the works, although such a project is the infancy stages.

“I’m working on my book and the title, which is still be determined, because this is very important,” Solari, adding that Henry, her husband, Troy, the couple’s son, Justin, and a host of family and friends are amongst her grandest supporters.

“My book encompasses my life and challenges that I have faced as a young girl, as well as the woman I am today. It speaks about what keeps me motivated, prayed up, and how I was able to turn temporary setbacks into victorious comebacks. My book will be out next year.”

AGAPE LOVE OF GOD — Once she had grasped a thorough concept of what it means to embrace self-love, such an upward trend had essentially given way to Solari adopting a heart for people, something that is especially key in entrepreneurship.

In the meantime, however, Solari doesn’t away from the notion that while next year figures to bring about more success, 2018 undoubtedly has been a banner year for her, in large part because she has been purposed to help equip and impact lives.

One life at a time.

“It is very imperative that I esteem and inspire others, because I believe that to see the blessings, you must look beyond the things you consider having been a mistake or even a challenge to accept, embrace, and use as a testimony to encourage others,” Solari said.

Is Houston entrepreneur Sonia Corbin-Davis the custom made jewelry industry’s best kept secret?

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES SONIA CORBIN-DAVIS

As far as custom made jewelry goes, it’s safe to assume that Sonia Corbin-Davis is a woman of many hats.

On second thought, perhaps she can appropriately explain it better.

“I have started a mobile bead bar,” Corbin-Davis, 52, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining in detail her thriving business venture as the mastermind behind The Jewelry Instructor’s Bead Bar.

DESTINY UNFOLDED — Powered by The Jewelry Instructor’s Inc., Sonia Corbin-Davis’s Jewelry Instructor’s Bead Bar is a Houston-area business she said functions more like a BYOB, and Art & Sip shops, only it is a mobile establishment.

Powered by The Jewelry Instructor’s Inc., Corbin-Davis’s Jewelry Instructor’s Bead Bar is a Houston-area business she said operates more like a BYOB, and Art & Sip shops, only it is a mobile establishment.

In addition, Corbin-Davis is widely known for creating a variety of custom jewelry designs, all the while teaching regular jewelry classes, workshops, not to mention assembling patterns for those who create jewelry themselves.

Not bad for a multi-talented entrepreneur whom, as if that isn’t enough to turn heads, is an accomplished realtor.

For Corbin-Davis, her rise to emerging as one of the Texas’ finest custom made jewelry designers essentially surfaced while engaging in an in-depth conversation with a few friends and co-workers, during which she was employed by the United States Postal Service.

“(They) gave me the idea of starting a jewelry business,” Corbin-Davis recalled. “I used to wear all types of odd jewelry, and they would ask me to shop for them.  So, I started shopping for them and reselling.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

One favorable business-related concept had ultimately led to another and, before she knew it, Corbin-Davis had effectively connected with her God-given purpose as a rising entrepreneur.

“I knew that they could not take my creativity. One day, after years of working at the post office, I just got fed up with the long hours and the office politics, and I asked God to give me a career that allowed me the freedom to create.” — Sonia Corbin-Davis

A business that Corbin-Davis had originally named Accessories A La Carte, this Houston native recalls like yesterday how she and a few of her coworkers had been competing in the custom made jewelry industry.

“I was 20-something and I wasn’t having that, so I stepped up my game, and sought out to start making my own jewelry,” Corbin-Davis recalled.

To her credit and much to her delight, she’s been a fixture in the custom made jewelry industry for 2 ½ decades strong.

And counting, of course.

“I knew that they could not take my creativity,” said Corbin-Davis, sounding not arrogant, but rather overwhelmingly confident while functioning mightily in her element. “One day, after years of working at the post office, I just got fed up with the long hours and the office politics, and I asked God to give me a career that allowed me the freedom to create.”

It was, by all accounts, because of her unshakable faith that God began to strategically move on her behalf, thus give her the desires of her heart.

On second thought, perhaps she can appropriately explain it better.

“I got a real estate license and, after 16 years of working at the post office and pursuing (a career in) real estate, I resigned,” Corbin-Davis said.

Fortunately for her, it eventually proved to be the right move at the right time.

Because, after all, her divine purpose was greatly connected to the next phase of her life.

“For years I did not create (jewelry),” Corbin-Davis explained. “I was actively selling real estate. Then one day, God reminded me of the (on the job) prayer… ‘God give me a career that allows me of the freedom to create.’ From then forward, I have been creating (jewelry).  Although I am known as ‘The Jewelry Instructor’ in the beading community, I (prefer) to become known by my designer name, ‘Cordavi Designs.’”

Not only that, now that Corbin-Davis has gotten a firm grip on her business, she doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s aiming to assemble jewelry for a few well-known celebrities.

On second thought, perhaps she can appropriately explain it better.

“I would love to create pieces for Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Michelle Obama, Marjorie Harvey, and I would absolutely be honored to create jewelry for the cast of a Tyler Perry movie,” Corbin-Davis said with a huge grin, although she’s very serious.

“As a matter of fact, I have created renditions of pieces that clients will bring to me that they saw on someone famous.”

SHE SAID IT — “I would love to create pieces for Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Michelle Obama, Marjorie Harvey, and I would absolutely be honored to create jewelry for the cast of a Tyler Perry movie,” Corbin-Davis said with a huge grin, although she’s very serious.

A business that is steadily having more of a global presence, generating media headlines, and will be on display on September 9 during the Lyfe After Me Launch Party that is hosted by fellow Houston entrepreneur Ruby C. Bridges, a majority of Corbin-Davis’s clients are women ranging in ages 40 to 78.

“I have had men take classes also,” Corbin-Davis said, who was once was paid to go to New England to teach classes. “And a few of them have gone on to start their own line of jewelry making.”

Now that she’s convinced her business’ best and brightest days are well ahead of it, Corbin-Davis is forever grateful that she’s finally walking in the purpose for which she was created.

“After years of teaching, creating, and having parties, I realized that my purpose is building relationships, one bead at a time,” Corbin-Davis said. “My journey has not just been about the beads, it’s about the experience.”

Well said by this thriving, progressive entrepreneur, whose divine purpose was greatly connected to the next phase of her life.

Texas author Dr. Sylvia A. Cole walking mightily in her purpose with an unprecedented ninth book

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES DR. SYLVIA A. COLE

For the record, Dr. Sylvia A. Cole was only doing that about which God specifically commands us, according to Psalm 105:1.

That is, she was making known His deeds among the people which, much to her delight, isn’t such a bad thing, considering she basking in the glory of her element unlike never before.

“I’m a nine-time published author! Thank you, Lord!” Dr. Cole shared in a spirited Facebook post last week.

TEXAS-SIZE IMPACT — To grasp a thorough understanding of why Houston’s Dr. Sylvia A. Cole, accomplished writer, deems it essential to often share of the goodness of her Creator, look no further than the immeasurable strides she’s made in recent years.
For starters, Dr. Cole is what many would describe as a serial author, in large part because it seems she writes and publishes books at, well…the drop of a dime.

To grasp a thorough understanding of why Dr.

Her latest published mastermind: “A Teen’s GPS For Finding Life’s Purpose,” her awe-inspiring project that made its ceremonious presence on the market on August 29, 2018.

For Dr. Cole, a Houston-area author, her latest book is her ninth overall and her fifth in what undoubtedly has been a banner year for this notable and gifted writer.

“I wrote this book, because of my experience of not truly being in purpose until a situation beyond my control pushed me into it,” Dr. Cole, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, told Making Headline News during an interview this week. “I realized for many years while I had success and a very happy life, I was not doing what God created me to do.”

Interestingly, a devout woman of faith who is walking diligently in her divine purpose, it was, by all accounts, because of Dr. Cole’s spiritual crossroads that she began to seek and consult God as only she could.

Look at her today, walking fervently in her purpose as only she could.

“Hence, I wanted to write this book for teens so they could begin to think about purpose now and not wait until life happens,” Dr. Cole said of her latest book. “I wanted to provide them with a thorough guide for being intentional about finding their life’s purpose.”

To her credit, Dr. Cole has done just that through her latest written document — as well as with the previous eight.

Besides “A Teen’s GPS For Finding Life’s Purpose,” Dr. Cole is the mastermind behind these remarkably compelling books:

Speak Believe And Experience the Manifestation of God’s Promises: Faith Confessions For Teens, released in 2018; Speak Believe And Experience The Manifestation Of God’s Promises: Faith Confessions For Singles, released in 2018; Speak Believe And Experience The Manifestation Of God’s Promises: Faith Confession For Women, released in 2018;

I Take God At His Word: How To Trust Him When You Can’t Trace Him, released in 2018; Lay Aside Your Weight And Rest: Finding Peace When Your Burdens Seem More Than You Can Bear, released in 2017; Called 2 Write: A Guide For Writers And Authors, released in 2017; and I Take God At His Word, released in 2015.

THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR — For Dr. Cole, a Houston-area author, her latest book is her ninth overall and her fifth in what undoubtedly has been a banner year for this notable and gifted writer. Amongst her biggest supporter is Carla Jackson, with whom Dr. Cole is pictured.

As for her latest project, which she says is generating “amazing” feedback, Dr. Coles stresses, among other things, that everyone was created for a purpose.

A divine purpose, that is.

“The Creator has an incredible plan for each of our lives and we should see the bigger picture of what life is all about and begin to live the life we were created to live,” said Dr. Cole said, who is the founder of Girls Prepped 4 Purpose (or GP4P), a nonprofit organization for teen girls ranging in ages 13 to 16. “I do not wish that teens would end up in a place and waste valuable time doing or pursuing something for which they were not created to do. The time is now for teens to find their life’s purpose and this book is their GPS (system).”

SOLID SUPPORT SYSTEM — A book Dr. Cole labels an “expansion” of her first book that was released in November 2014 (“I Take God At His Word), she acknowledged that God revealed to her the book’s title while standing at my mother’s bedside, during which she was in Intensive Care Unit and in a coma for nearly three weeks. Holding Dr. Cole’s latest book is
Tristan Thigpen.

And then there is “I Take God at His Word: How To Trust Him When You Can’t Trace Him,” Dr. Cole’s spiritually gut-checking book that made its much-anticipated presence on the market in  March 2018, approximately two months after this writer began composing it.

A book Dr. Cole labels an “expansion” of her first book that was released in November 2014 (“I Take God At His Word), she acknowledged that God revealed to her the book’s title while standing at my mother’s bedside, during which she was in Intensive Care Unit and in a coma for nearly three weeks.

DESTINY STEPS — Dr. Cole is the founder of Girls Prepped 4 Purpose (or GP4P), a nonprofit organization for teen girls ranging in ages 13 to 16.

“My siblings and I agreed to have her weaned off life support,” Dr. Cole recalled, adding that her mother is her No. 1 fan and supporter. “I was on rotation on the 16th day and, as the nurses unplugged her machines, less than five minutes later, she started breathing on her own.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

But God.

That’s just like God.

To God be the glory.

THAT’LL PREACH — “The Creator has an incredible plan for each of our lives and we should see the bigger picture of what life is all about and begin to live the life we were created to live,” Dr. Cole said. “I do not wish that teens would end up in a place and waste valuable time doing or pursuing something for which they were not created to do. The time is now for teens to find their life’s purpose and this book is their GPS (system).”

Now we know why this faith-based, Christian-oriented author customarily finds herself making known His deeds among the people.

“I looked up into the heavens and said, ‘God, I take You at Your Word,” Dr. Cole said. “Hence, this situation beyond my control pushed me into purpose.”

That, after all, isn’t such a bad thing, considering she’s basking in the glory of her element unlike never before.

Houston businesswoman Monique White walking in her divine calling as the mastermind of Our Life Television Show

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES MONIQUE WHITE

Attention, ladies and gentlemen.

Monique White has something extremely vital she’d like to say to you.

“I’d (like to) say to everyone, men and women, remember to always empower others and continue to remove the mask,” White said during an interview this week with Making Headline News.

To her distinctly unique credit, coupled with the divine calling on her life, White has become a fixture for empowering the masses mightily as founder, executive producer, and host for Our Life Television Show that airs regularly on the Houston area Public Access network.

THE ABUNDANT LIFE FACTOR — To her distinctly unique credit, coupled with the divine calling on her life, Houston businesswoman Monique White has become a fixture for empowering the masses mightily as founder, executive producer, and host for Our Life Television Show that airs regularly on the Houston area Public Access network.

A talk show industry about which she embarked upon eight years ago, White’s Our Life Television Show is designed in large part to help individuals — most notably women — to remove the masks that many wear every day.

“(I want) to show others that it is ok to really talk about things we hide and sugarcoat,” White, 46, said. “Nothing is off limits.”

A credible show that is scheduled to resume on September 22, White boasts a wealth of experience in what undoubtedly is an extremely competitive industry.

MORE ON MONIQUE WHITE’S OUR LIFE TV SHOW: https://www.facebook.com/ourlifetvshow/

Amongst the reasons is that Our Life is White’s second talk show, this after having served as co-owner of what was known as The OPS Show, which aired for two years.

“But I owe credit to my business partner,” said White, alluding to her rise as host of her very own show. “I joined him in the TV show business. Honestly, this was nowhere in my mind and, after I started, I was still in shock at what I was doing…a country girl on TV.”

As it turned out, it seemed that this ole country girl from Opelousas — a rural Louisiana town of roughly 22,000-plus residents, according to the latest U.S. census — was unknowingly walking in the purpose for which God created her from the outset.

“From my business partners to strangers, close friends, and others in this field, they told me this was my calling,” White said.

They got that right.

That’s because in 2015, White diligently stepped out on faith by establishing her own brand and, as she delightfully tells it, her drive to thrive has become “even stronger.”

For all the right reasons, too.

“I love meeting all the wonderful people and their families over the past eight years since I have been on television,” said White, explaining what she loves the most about her show, which caters mostly to persons ranging in ages 25 to 65. “The wonderful stories they share of encouragement, strength, and courage to remove their masks and keep moving.”

GOD’S PLAN — As it turned out, it seemed that this ole country girl from Opelousas — a rural Louisiana town of roughly 22,000-plus resident, according to latest U.S. census — was unknowingly walking in the purpose for which God created her all along.

A career that has afforded her the opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display as far as on the East and West Coast, as well as Louisiana and Texas, White emphasized that personal mission is centered on, among other things, to show young ladies and women that, “If you stand on God’s Word, you can become whatever you want to and not be afraid to tell your story.”

That’s not all, she acknowledged.

“I also show them by removing my own mask on TV and telling a few of my testimonies like being homeless at one point in my life and still doing my first television show,” White explained. “I stood on God’s word and have owned my business and still making moves eight years later.”

As her staff prepares to resume Our Life in the coming weeks, White already has an ideal topic of discussion in mind.

“This show will be on domestic violence,” said White, alluding to a topic that will be on universal display with Domestic Violence Awareness looming next month. “I also will be doing some radio promotions before we tape the show.”

Interestingly, there is, by all accounts, another added feature to Our Life, White announced this week.

“The show is currently working on becoming nationally syndicated, and I am working on a special project and that is by 2019, (I plan to) have a foundation open in Houston for mental health patients called the Mary Ann White Foundation, which is named after my mother,” White said.

NATIONAL IMPACT — A career that has afforded her the opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display as far as on the East and West Coast, as well as Louisiana and Texas, White emphasized that personal mission is centered on, among other things, to show young ladies and women that, “If you stand on God’s Word, you can become whatever you want to and not be afraid to tell your story.”

“If you are walking with the Lord, you need to always — no matter what — show respect and honor to others,” added White, when asked why it is imperative to esteem others daily. “My ministry calling has always been service. I have always found a way out of no way to serve in my church, as well as my everyday life.”

By and large, what it all boils down to is steadfastly removing the masks we customarily wear daily.

So attention, once again, ladies and gentlemen.

White has something else extremely vital she’d like to say to you.

“It is very important to inspire others always,” she said, “because of the masks we wear every day, you don’t know what a person is going through. So just one little positive word or message can change someone’s entire outlook on life.”
