Shortly after 10 o’clock EST on Saturday morning, Cynthia McCalister took to her Facebook Key Spot Business Partners page where, as usual, she thought it necessary to stage a rather inspirational, thought-provoking post.
“If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else,” said McCalister in a post whereby she coined a spirited and eloquent quote once uttered by legendary American educator Booker T. Washington.
For McCalister, her entrepreneurship reputation is such that she is widely known for customarily inspiring others, particularly as it pertains to maximizing their potential through their respective business venture.
Such was the case in her informative and in-depth book entitled, “YES YOU CAN! 10 Great Ways To Market Your Business,” a project that made its official release on the market last week.
“I wrote the book to help motivate and inspire other business owners,” McCalister, a Cincinnati-based businesswoman, told Making Headline News during a weekend interview. “It is not easy being a small business owner. You go through ups and downs.”
A book that is comprised of 140 pages and was officially released on June 10, McCalister’s “YES YOU CAN! 10 Great Ways To Market Your Business” is designed to take the business marketing lessons she’s learned as a business owner and, in turn, help other business owners cost effectively and simplistically market their business.

“I want to give them tools to help take them to the next level of success,” said McCalister, the owner and chief executive officer of Key Spot by Quality SAP, a progressive and forward thinking information technology company that specializes in — but isn’t limited to — developing affordable mobile application platforms.
Having cited April 2015 as the time in which God introduced her to the vision to what she recalled as resetting her path, thus focusing her business on supporting other small business owners and connecting communities, McCalister said the inspiration for composing her book came from her parents.
McCalister’s father was a small business owner and her mother was a fixture for a host of non-profit organizations, during which she constantly gave back to the community.
As for McCalister’s newly-produced book, she acknowledges, among other things, that many business owners/aspiring business owners will hear many “no’s” and revenue won’t always flow to which they anticipate.
“Sometimes, the hardest part is getting people to know about you as a business (owner) and putting your name into the atmosphere,” McCalister said a detailed description of her book at Amazon.com. “As a small business owner, I have marketed my business in many ways, from going door-to-door and cold calling, to using social media to share my business.”
Much to her delight, McCalister’s effectively aggressive and strategic approach had ultimately given way to her reaping favorable results as a resilient and resourceful businesswoman.
“By taking many different approaches, I have finally unlocked the door to effective business marketing,” McCalister said. “Don’t think you’re too out of touch to get your brand out there, or think it’s too expensive or complicated to figure out. In my book, I will give you ten ways to successfully market your business.”

Also, McCalister acknowledged her concept to assemble her book stemmed from having spent two decades in the IT industry.
“It was in a dream that the idea for the Key Spot Mobile application platform came to me,” explained McCalister, who’s presently co-authoring a soon-to-be-published book with fellow businesswoman Kim Coles entitled, “Open Your G.I.F.T.S. (Volume 2). “The idea was to offer a platform to leverage mobile technology to affordably promote positivity such as community events, local businesses, restaurants, and other gems in the community. In addition, I established a nationwide business network, Key Spot Business Partners, to continue to support, promote, and recognized small businesses making a positive impact.”
When asked what is the divine message she’s sending to her audience through her new book, McCalister said, “When it comes to business marketing, the key is try new things. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes along the way, these are opportunities to learn. Always know that anything is possible to achieve with God, a dream, and hard work.”
As expected, the feedback since the release of her new book has been favorable, McCalister said.
“People are inspired, excited, and motivated to begin taking the tools I have provided and applying them to their business,” McCalister said. “(This book) aligns with (God’s) plan for me, to continue to reach out, uplift, promote, and inspire others.”
