DALLAS — Just recently, Sheryl Grace took to her Instagram page, where she expressed her delight in her remarkably compelling new product.
“So excited about my new book!” Grace wrote in her @mzgracebookz Instagram post that was accompanied by a slew of hashtag messages.
BY GOD’S AMAZING GRACE — To her credit Dallas/Fort Worth-area author Sheryl Grace’s imaginative skills and mechanics were certainly put on display through a trio of books, most notably her latest book entitled, “King, Duke, And Prince.
For Grace, a native of Sunshine, Louisiana — a rural establishment that is approximately 15 miles South of Baton Rouge and rest along the mighty Mississippi River — she has every reason in the world to be giddy and enthusiastic after having taking yet another monumental step in her immeasurable tenure as an accomplished author.
“I believe God has gifted me with an active imagination for a reason,” Grace, a Dallas/Forth-based writer and longtime mental health professional, told Making Headline News this week.
To her credit, Grace’s imaginative skills and mechanics were certainly put on display in her latest book entitled, “King, Duke, And Prince.”
Officially released on July 31, 2018, Grace — a detailed breakdown of her book at https://www.sherylgrace.com, writes about how some 10 years ago, the character named James Miller walked out of prison, vowing to leave the past behind. That past, she said, included his sons and their mothers and, though he told himself that he would return, he never did.
Now, he has a new name, a new family, a new career, not to mention a best-selling memoir.
As Grace explained, she adopted the vision to compose “King, Duke, And Prince while engaging in her customary pampering.
“I received the vision for this book while I was receiving a facial believe it or not,” Grace said. “It was really weird. The title and concept just came to me in a daydream as I lied there on the spa table.”
The rest, as they say, was history, because one thought had ultimately led to another, which eventually gave way to a full blown book being birthed.
“After that, I felt that God gave me the vision and I was compelled to write it,” Grace said. “I began writing it the latter part of last year and finished it in May.”
ON DECK — Grace’s announced that a third book is presently in the works. A book that is entitled, “Miss Amanda and the One Room School,” this project is deemed a “historical picture book,” one that is based on the life of Grace’s grandmother, during which she began her teaching career in a one-room school in rural Louisiana in the 1930s.
Prior to writing “King, Duke, And Prince,” Grace authored another the informative, awe-inspiring book entitled, “He Calls Her Blue.”
A book this Southern University graduate had written two years ago, Grace acknowledged her initial written document had essentially become a vision nearly a decade prior to her composing it.
Talk about sticking to a strategic, longstanding plan that had eventually come full circle.
“The divine message that I send to my audience is that my characters are people with issues unlike anyone else but there are reasons they act the way that they do,” Grace explained. “I want my audience to understand the reasons behind a character’s behavior.”
Much to her delight, the feedback since the release of her books has been remarkable to say the least.
“My first book has received outstanding feedback,” Grace said. “Many people have expressed their eagerness for the sequel. My latest book, ‘King, Duke, And Prince’ has just been released and I am anxious to hear the reviews.”
More than anything, Grace emphasized that her books are designed in large part to empower her reading audience on issues that have greatly helped share and affect our world.
“As a mental health professional, it is important for me to educate our community on mental health,” she said. “I use my writing as a tool to address these issues. I fuse my active imagination with real life and work experiences.”
Such a notable trend has proven beneficial to a number of people, Grace acknowledged.
“Many people told me that they related so much to the characters in the first book that it triggered some deep seeded emotions,” Grace said. “I believed God has purposed me to tell the type of stories that will enlighten as well as entertain.”
Interestingly, Grace’s announced that a third book is presently in the works.

“She taught several grades simultaneously in that school for 19 years,” Grace explained. “That school is now a museum.”
While Grace’s itinerary currently doesn’t include any speaking engagements, the possibility exist that could very well change much sooner than later.
PUTTING IT IN PERSPECTIVE — “As a mental health professional, it is important for me to educate our community on mental health,” Grace said. “I use my writing as a tool to address these issues. I fuse my active imagination with real life and work experiences.”
“I do speak on mental health issues at churches and conferences,” said Grace, whose latest event last month was highlighted by her being a moderator for a mental health panel discussion during a women’s conference.
In addition, Grace’s professional resume includes assuming the role as co-host of the award-winning weekly internet radio show, “The Authors Lounge.”
Also, she currently serves as president and co-founder of The Metro Authors Group, an organization that The Metro Authors Group, which are sponsors for The Annual Books, Burgers, and More Literary Expo.
