So today, I finally had the full pleasure of doing my aunt and godmother, Comia (FlynnStyle) Flynn’s makeup and pictures! You talk about sweating bullets???!!! But I am so thankful that I’ve been able to do this. Thank you, auntie. Eyedolized Brand is well on its way!

The owner and CEO of Eyedolized by K.Mitchell, Mitchell, 35, was recently named a brand ambassador and curvy model for a number of companies. As if that wasn’t enough to turn heads, Mitchell, too, was invited to participate on Oprah Winfrey’s 2020 Your Life In Focus vision tour.

During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Mitchell said she’s still very much in awe amid a once-in-a-lifetime experience that has only heightened her exposure as one of Georgia’s finest makeup artists.

“One of the most surreal moments in my life,” Mitchell said of her recent appearance at Oprah Winfrey’s 2020 Your Life In Focus vision tour. “(I was blessed with the opportunity of) traveling across the world to meet women that not only I inspired but inspired me as well.”

A native of nearby Fort Worth, Texas and a graduate of North Texas Christian Academy (who also attended Savannah High School), Mitchell said she has adopted a keen passion for customarily enhancing her clients with a unique look, courtesy of her brilliant craft through an assortment of makeups.

“While I cater to doing makeup, my brand is about all things beauty and fashion,” Mitchell said. “I always want to be better than my last greatest job, as I have always seen myself going to the top. There are so many great artists in my area. I, of course, knew that I had what it takes to be one of the greatest too.”

She certainly seems well on her way to achieving such a milestone — hopefully much sooner than later, she said.

PEACH STATE SENSATION 

Mitchell’s Eyedolized by K.Mitchell services clients ranging from 16 to 75 years of age.

“I absolutely love how making someone as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside,” Mitchell said. “(I love the) the reactions that I receive from my clients…how their smile and walk change and their confidence skyrockets. That’s what I love the most. I get a chance to be the reason why my clients organically smile and gain confidence and feel good.”

As for amongst her key ambitions in the foreseeable future, Mitchell doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s devising ways to take her brand outside of her current establishment.

“My personal mission is to put smiles on people’s faces across the nation,” Mitchell says without hesitation.

Her sustained success as an accomplished businesswoman was spearheaded by her mother, Lisa Mitchell.

“She was my inspiration as a child,” Mitchell said of her mother’s tireless support. “But my very first makeup artist that I saw travel the world was Alexander Butler (of Alexandra Butler Makeup Artistry). She gave me the hope and belief that I could be in this industry and succeeded greatly.”

Because of the COVID-19 crisis, Mitchell said she’s been reduced to conducting classes and sessions via Zoom. She emphasized she’s welcomes traveling and speaking engagements — “once things are back to normal,” she said — to better educate women on the importance of quality makeovers through makeup.

“There are so many people that have not had people to pour positivity, hope, reassurance, love, or just tell them they, too, have a gift that world can’t do without,” said Mitchell, whose business was birthed amid having lost of her daughter. “And I believe that I’ve been placed here to give people that inspiration and genuine love. My daily quote is: “All that you have is all that you need.”

All things considered, Mitchell is forever grateful that God has rescued her from a dreaded season in the wilderness, to a season of pure unwavering faith and prosperity.

“I came from (a season of) losing my daughter, to having a home where the ceilings were falling in on my son and myself to having barely anything to make a meal for us, to now having a new home,  new business, going on tour, becoming a brand ambassador and spokesperson for another brand…being a happier and healthier me,” Mitchell said.

“I take no credit for any of it. I give all praises to God for everything. I used my past for my fuel, and this is just one of the chapters to my story on how my son and I made it.”

Talk about a spiritual makeover — and comeback story — for the ages.
