Dallas/Fort Worth entrepreneur Shanna Boger setting herself apart as one of nation’s finest event planners

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalm 37:4)

IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN

A CUT ABOVE THE REST — A Dallas/Fort Worth-area businesswoman in her own right, Shanna Boger, 46, is owner and CEO of the PRP Luxury Group, a progressive and thriving event planning venture she established some five years ago.

DALLAS — For Shanna Boger, she was practically born into it.

“My parents were entrepreneurs,” Boger, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said explaining the memorable developments surrounding her rise as an accomplished entrepreneur. “Both of them had side businesses, plus full-time jobs, so I always knew I would have a business…just didn’t know what type of business.”
It didn’t take her very long to figure that out.
That’s because Boger essentially wound up following in the massive footsteps of her beloved mother, whose entrepreneurship craft was that of a florist and wedding planner when her daughter was a child, growing up Bossier City, Louisiana.

BAYOU BEAUTY — A Fall 1994 graduate of Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Boger’s PRP Luxury Group has been operations for five years and counting. The key to her reaping sustained success through an endeavor whose best and brightest days are well ahead it: going above and beyond to ensure that she exemplifies top-notch customer service.

A Dallas/Fort Worth-area businesswoman in her own right, Boger, 46, is owner and CEO of the PRP Luxury Group, a progressive and thriving event planning venture she established some five years ago.

In essence, PRP Luxury Group is widely regarded as a boutique wedding and event company, one that specializes in full-service wedding planning, luxurious floral and event design, not to mention custom stationery and curated gifts.

All things considered, Boger has her mother to thank, in large part because even as a youngster growing up in Louisiana, she was the beneficiary of some brilliant hands-on training, of sorts.

“She did all the weddings in our community and I hated it,” Boger jokingly said of her mother’s immeasurable impact as a local businesswoman. “So I decided to go to college and major in accounting and get a desk job.”

All things considered, Boger has her mother to thank, in large part because even as a youngster, growing up in Louisiana, she was the beneficiary of some hands-on training, of sorts.

As it turned out, that proverbial desk job was essentially short-lived, considering…well, Boger was practically birthed into the ever-so-competitive industry of entrepreneurship.

“I did that (desk job), but I reached a glass ceiling and the entrepreneur bug was a burning in my spirit and I could not shake it,” Boger recalled. “I have always been creative, so I took my creativity and decided to build my own business. And I came back to my roots: weddings and events.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

Today, unlike never before, Boger is functioning fervently in the divine purpose for which she was created, reinforcing among other things, that when parents train up children in the way they should go, when they mature in age, they will not depart from it.

“My mother, of course,” said Boger, when asked who were amongst those who inspired and pushed her to delve off into entrepreneurship. “(Also) Kae Whitaker of Kae Whiter Media Group, Preston Bailey, Kathy Romero, and Akeshi Akinseye of Kesh Events.”

“I love helping people create a beautiful event that celebrates life,” Boger said. “My clients are very important to me. Bringing my clients’ vision to life is my No. 1 priority.”

Having had the luxury of hosting the bulk of her events in Texas, Boger boasts lofty aspirations of planning and designing events globally.

Given her immeasurable and remarkably compelling gifts as an event planner, such a notable milestone figures to come to fruition — much sooner than later.

A business that accommodates clients ranging mostly in ages of 25 to 44, Boger announced that plans are effectively underway to partner with the newly erected Lakeview Event & Conference Center in nearby Arlington, where she will engage in hosting an Open House event in October.

MOM KNOWS BEST

Today, unlike never before, Boger is functioning fervently in the divine purpose for which she was created, reinforcing among other things, that when parents train up children in the way they should go, when they mature in age, they will not depart from it.

“(I just want to) be an inspiration to people, to live life the fullest,” said Boger, explaining her mission that’s aligns with her customer service goals and objectives. “I want to be an inspiration to people, to show them that God will give you the desires of your heart, as long as you honor Him in everything you do.”

Not to mention obey His Voice, even if it comes through your mom.

Something to which this remarkably gifted Texas entrepreneur can greatly attest.

Dallas/Fort Worth author Sandi D. Johnson’s ‘Collateral Beauty’ is a thing of beauty

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV)

GODLY THING OF BEAUTY

GOD’S PLAN — Sandi D. Johnson’s desire to compose the newly-produced entitled “My Story, My Journey: Collateral Beauty” has come full circle. It is a collaborative written work she assembled with other authors.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — For Sandi D. Johnson, June 5, 2018 essentially changed the overall landscape of her life.

“Last year on June 5, I did a Facebook Live (segment) on collateral beauty,” Johnson told Making Headline News this week. “I was inspired by the movie and how Will Smith’s character became paralyzed by grief and begin to seek out answers. The results were that in life’s toughest, most heart-wrenching situations, there are some lessons and blessings. So, the term collateral beauty has been in my spirit ever since.”
All things considered, such an awe-inspiring sequence is what fueled Johnson’s desire to compose the newly-produced entitled, “My Story, My Journey: Collateral Beauty,” a collaborative written work she assembled with other authors.

The book’s official launch will take place on August 3 at Sway’s Room in nearby DeSoto, Texas, during which Johnson will be the keynote speaker.

Also, Johnson announced that a retreat is planned for some time next year and will called, “My Story, My journey: Collateral Beauty Retreat,” during which she will be a presenter.

As Johnson explained, her company EnVision Your Life, L.L.C., also has played an integral part of her quest to write a book that figures to become a fixture during what many have dubbed “perilous times.”

As far as demonstrating faith to compose her newly-assembled written document, Johnson acknowledged that it was, by all accounts, a vision to which God introduced her early this year through “Grace to Recover,” a book she co-authored with Shirley LaTour.

“My company has a proven multi-step process that produces vision boards, which produces results and are in action,” Johnson explained.  “As a result of the EnVision Board Experience, the individual will leave with a visual representation of their vision, futurist mindset, and three concrete goals that will be in motion with the help of a dream keeper relationship. The experiences are done virtually or in person. So on my vision board, the words ‘Put it in writing’ as a personal goal was to author a book.  I cannot motivate others to reach goals and not move on my own.”

To her credit, Johnson has certainly moved mightily, thus exercised her faith in ways unimaginable, particularly with regards to assembling “My Story, My Journey: Collateral Beauty.”

Johnson announced that a retreat is planned for some time next year and will called, “My Story, My journey: Collateral Beauty Retreat,” during which she will be a presenter.

“After experiencing the death of my stepfather, mother, and grandfather in a period of like 16 months, I was able to find some beauty in that situation,” said Johnson, when asked what was the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce her new book. “The heartbreak and grief were purposed to give me the ability to reframe any situation. I want others to know that not only can they survive those hard places, but it is part of their purpose path.”

As far as demonstrating faith to compose her newly-assembled written document, Johnson acknowledged that it was, by all accounts, a vision to which God introduced her early this year through “Grace to Recover,” a book she co-authored with Shirley LaTour.

“This goal was in no way, shape, or form one that was easy to obtain,” Johnson recalled. “You see, I struggled with spelling since childhood, which feeds into the irrational thought pattern that I could not write. As a child, Thursday nights at my house growing up was a struggle due to the Friday spelling test. We would sing, rap, write, and dance to my spelling words only for me to barely pass the test. In college, I would procrastinate when assigned any paper out of this belief that I could not write.”

But God Whom, much to Johnson’s delight, still had a divine purpose for her life, most notably through the competitive world of authorship.

That, of course, meant she had to become accustomed to spelling and writing — and do it efficiently.

“A few years ago, I expressed to my author friend (MeLisa Calhoun Collins) that I could not write,” Johnson said. “I would send her something I had written for her to read. It was at that point, she informed me I would never say that statement again. She has been my editor and can take my sometimes not-so-well-written thought and fix it to make sense. She is my writing dream keeper.”

“This fear almost stopped this project,” said Johnson, who’s currently working on two more anthologies. “As a vision coach, I tell my clients just to leap and that is what I did with a blindfold on. And 14 other women joined me on this journey and shared their stories of finding meaning in either the death of a loved one or divorce. Some were hit with both at the same time.”

And today unlike never before, Johnson has emerged as purpose driven and accomplished author, who’s yet walking fervently in her purpose — with God, her Helper, leading the way.

Talk about a massive thing of beauty.

And 14 other women joined me on this journey and shared their stories of finding meaning in either the death of a loved one or divorce. Some were hit with both at the same time.”

For Johnson, it all goes back to June 5 of last year.

As Johnson explained, her company EnVision Your Life, L.L.C., also has played an integral part of her quest to write a book that figures to become a fixture during what many have dubbed “perilous times.”

“This year on June 5 — exactly one year after the Facebook Live on my weekly broadcast — ‘Living Life On Purpose,’ — was launched,” said Johnson, alluding to yet another published project. “This was not planned, and it was only realized as I casually strolled my memories and the connection was made. It was as if God was blowing His daughter a kiss and putting His seal of approval on this project.

“When you leap without knowing the full plan, it is a faith walk, and all credit has to be given to our Father up above,” Johnson continued. “If He gave you the project, He will supplies the tools to complete it.”

Not to mention, change the overall landscape of your life in the process.

Fort Worth author Helena Lewis-Norman savors her ‘new next’ courtesy of emotionally-driven book

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)

TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH

BUT GOD — Helena Lewis-Norman, in fact, can greatly attest to shattered dreams, as she vividly details in her newly-produced book entitled, “Shattered Pieces: From Broken2Blessed,” an emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work that was officially released in mid-April.

DALLAS — For Helena Lewis-Norman, the turmoil she’s endured in recent years, she wouldn’t wish for it to transpire in the life of her worst enemy.

“At some point in life, something will happen to shatter your dreams, your faith, and yes, your whole life,” Lewis-Norman told Making Headline News this week, recalling the tumultuous, disheartening developments surrounding the deaths of her daughter and grandchild. “Tragedy, hurt, and brokenness cross all socioeconomic boundaries, leaving us feeling hopeless.”
Lewis-Norman, in fact, can greatly attest to these encounters, as she vividly details in her newly-produced book entitled, “Shattered Pieces: From Broken2Blessed,” an emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work that was officially released in mid-April.

BOOK SIGNING ALERT!!!

A native of nearby Fort Worth, Lewis-Norman will host a book signing for “Shattered Pieces: From Broken2Blessed,” her 176-page featured written document that addresses an assortment of pertinent topics, most notably what this Christian-based writer refers to as tragedy, hurt, and brokenness, all of which cross virtually all socioeconomic boundaries.

A book signing and brunch celebration for this sought-after book will take on Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST at the Hampton Inn and Suites, located at 6555 Park Brook in Forest Hill, Texas.

As Lewis-Norman eloquently explained, it was God Who strategically assigned her to compose an awe-inspiring book whereby she recalls in great details how He anchored her spiritually during what arguably was the darkest season of her life.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, somewhere along your journey, life will deal you a hand you don’t know how to play,” Lewis-Norman said. “At that moment, your entire life hinges upon your decision.”

Within minutes after offering a detailed synopsis of her new book, this devout woman of faith then poses a few rather riveting, thought-provoking questions to masses to ponder, particularly as it pertains to their respective season in the wilderness.

“Will you react and continue to do the same things you’ve always done such as avoid painful times in your life? Or will you respond by doing something different and deal with the broken pieces in your life?” Lewis-Norman said. “Things that have shattered in your life, which left you broken, all had a purpose to prepare you for your new next.”

For Lewis-Norman, because of her bend-but-don’t break faith, coupled with her spiritually resiliency as one of God’s beloved spokespersons, she can dauntless profess that she’s ceremoniously crossed over into her “new next.”

Yep. To God be the glory.

“There is life after loss of a love one, divorce — which feels like a death — transition or change of employment or financial crisis,” Lewis-Norman said.

As expected, the feedback for Lewis-Norman’s “Shattered Pieces: From Broken2Blessed” has been overwhelmingly favorable.

“Excellent feedback of transparent moments shared in the book,” Lewis-Norman said.

Interestingly, while putting the wraps on her newly-produced project, Lewis-Norman recalls how God had given her specific instructions as a strategic, effective way to minister to His people.

“While finalizing the last chapters of the book, I was ignited as the purpose pusher to help push people who have been paralyzed by their pain and stagnated in disappointment, which caused them to doubt who they are in God,” Lewis-Norman said.

In addition, Lewis-Norman told Making Headline News that she’s devising ways to construct a stage play for “Shattered Pieces: From Broken2Blessed.”
