Atlanta-area businesswoman Verna V. Nickelberry functioning fervently in her ‘God taught’ endeavor

GOD-ORDERED STEPS

DESTINY STEPS — Currently of a resident in the Atlanta area, Verna V. Nickelber is owner and chief executive officer of VeMaShe Enterprise LLC, her up-and-coming media company whose featured entity is product is ODINARY PEOPLE Magazine (or OPM), which went into full operations in 2008.

DALLAS — With all due respect to Verna V. Nickelberry, she essentially had it wrong.

Consider, for instance, when during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, Nickelberry, whose family is originally from Mississippi, spoke about her strong ties to Memphis.

“We moved to Memphis when I was five years old, Nickelberry said. “So Memphis is all I know. It’s home.”
Wrong.
With all due respect to Nickelberry, while she has an immeasurable connection to Memphis, credit her remarkably compelling strides as a notable businesswoman as being arguably the pivotal factor that has given way to her attracting more of a national presence through her endeavors.

OH TASTE AND SEE

THIS IS THE LORD’S DOING — Although Nickelberry is pretty adamant that her publication essentially “found me,” amongst the things about which she’s thoroughly convinced is that her flourishing enterprise undoubtedly has been endorsed by God.

Currently of a resident in the Atlanta area, Nickelberry is owner and chief executive officer of VeMaShe Enterprise LLC, her up-and-coming media company whose featured entity is product is ODINARY PEOPLE Magazine (or OPM), which went into full operations in 2008.

In addition to running the day-to-day operations of her business, Nickelberry is an accomplished writer, having authored two books: “He Wrote The Script…Just Follow It!: Applying Biblical Principals for Entrepreneurial Success” and “Blue Skies & Green Grass: A 30 Day Affirmation Journal.”

Also, she were amongst 14 women who collectively wrote the book entitled, “Cultivating Your It Factor: 14 Must Haves  To Discover, Define and Refine Your Signature Brand.”

Though her venture accommodates people of all ages and ethnic groups nationwide, Nickelberry emphasized she’s especially blessed to have been afforded the golden opportunity to bask in the glory of her God-given element.

Her children’s book, “The Adventures Of KayKay” will jumpstart a 12-book series and is scheduled to be released this summer, she said.

“I wish I had a great story for you, but the truth is my business found me,” Nickelberry said.

With all due respect once again, Nickelberry — displaying a such resiliency and poise as only she could — certainly has an inspiring story to tell, considering VeMaShe Enterprise emerged courtesy of a rather unique combination that’s comprised of her name as well as the names of her two sons, which intriguingly means “family, unite, and love.”

“I’m wanting to create a family company that my son would work at,” Nickelberry said of her business venture, which has been in existence for approximately 10 years.

Although Nickelberry is pretty adamant that her publication essentially “found me,” amongst the things about which she’s thoroughly convinced is that her flourishing enterprise undoubtedly has been endorsed by God.

MAKING MAJOR STRIDES — With all due respect to Nickelberry, while she has an immeasurable connection to Memphis, credit her remarkably compelling strides as a notable businesswoman as being arguably the pivotal factor that has given way to her attracting more of a national presence through her endeavors.

“It is an assignment — a vision — from God which took place in 2005, but was not birth until 2008,” Nickelberry explained. “We’ve been at it for 10 years.”

And what a memorable decade it has been for this progressive, thriving businesswoman, who doesn’t shy away from the notion that God is the Focal Point of a company whose best and brightest days are well ahead of it.

Interestingly, Nickelberry’s magazine is widely known for hosting an annual business prayer breakfast, as well as its annual OPM Servant Awards, an event that customarily honors individuals, non-profit organizations, and corporations, particularly for their valiant contributions to communities.

This year’s OPM Servant Awards are scheduled for  September 20 in nearby Conyer, Georgia.

“We also give out a life time achievement award,” said Nickelberry, alluding to her event’s The Sylvester Bowens Life Time Achievement, which is named in honor of her father.

Though her venture accommodates people of all ages and ethnic groups nationwide, Nickelberry emphasized she’s especially blessed to have been afforded the golden opportunity to bask in the glory of her God-given element.

“I enjoy the freedom doing what I love,” Nickelberry said. “OPM is an inspirational magazine, so we get to share the word of God and some great testimonies of God’s miracles and blessings. This is actually one of the segments in the magazine.”

With all due respect once again, Nickelberry, displaying a such resiliency and poise — certainly has an inspiring story to tell, considering VeMaShe Enterprise emerged courtesy of a rather unique combination that’s comprised of her name as well as the najes of her two sons, which intriguingly means “family, unite, and love.”

Although Nickelberry admittedly was reluctant to go into business for herself, she’s overwhelmingly giddy she had ultimately answered God’s Voice by exercising her faith in ways unimaginable. “I answered the call from God and, nevertheless, I moved forward,” Nickelberry said with a smile. “I’m God taught.”

And, for that reasons, Memphis isn’t all she knows.

With all due respect to this talented, gifted businesswoman, she’s fully persuaded that even while walking fervently in her divine purpose, the best is yet to come.

“If I can but inspire one person while I’m on my daily journey, I would have done my part in bring a smile to someone’s face and joy to their heart,” Nickelberry said.

Capping off a brilliantly, empowering story, one she sensed she never had to tell.

But God Whom, much to her delight, had the final say.

Georgia Pastor Vincent and Lady Ardys Leslie savoring the abundant life that Christ came to give them

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; Nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. (1 Peter 5:2-4 NKJV)

THE JOHN 10:10 AFFECT

FRUITS OF THEIR LABOR — Powered by the motto that reads: We are real people with real issues looking for real answers, Abundant Life is widely deemed “one church in two locations,” considering it will unveil a campus in nearby Augusta the final weekend of April. As if that isn’t enough to set off a festive, jubilant, collective praise break amongst the masses, Abundant Life commemorated its fifth anniversary the first weekend in April, a feat Pastor Vincent and Lady Ardys Leslie don’t merely take lightly, considering God had strategically set them aside for His use — particularly to serve faithfully alongside each other for such a pivotal time as now.

DALLAS — While addressing the media Friday afternoon, Vincent Leslie recalled in great detail how God had strategically gone about placing him on an pivotal assignment for such a time as now.

A massive, life-changing endeavor, one that, to his distinctly unique credit, is steadily impacting and enriching the kingdom unlike never before.

“I didn’t just roll out of bed one day and start preaching,” Pastor Leslie told Making Headline News during a phone interview from Atlanta. “I’ve been preaching the gospel for over 20 years.”
For Pastor Leslie, it is a two-plus-decade journey that has benefited him mightily as one of God’s anointed spokesperson, who happens to be the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church of Atlanta and Augusta.

GOD’S PLAN — For Pastor Leslie, his two-plus-decade ministerial journey has benefited him mightily as one of God’s anointed spokesperson, who happens to be the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church of Atlanta and Augusta.

Officially referred to as Abundant Life Worship Center, this institution that has become a fixture in the Atlanta metropolitan area and has flourished fervently since its 2012 inception, in large part because it continues to fortify its awe-inspiring vision that’s centered on meeting people where they are, thus helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

GOD’S LEADING LADY — A native of Los Angeles, Lady Leslie is a former salon owner and master stylist, who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. Not to be outdone, though, while it seemed she was “sold out to that religion” for an extended period of time, arguably the most crucial phenomenon she had come to discover is that Jesus isn’t just the Reason for every season but, above all, He’s the Reason she’s been set aside for God’s use.

Because they have diligently obeyed the Voice of God, today unlike never before, this couple — who share four children — are steadily savoring the fruits of their labor, not to mention possessing and savoring the Abundant Life that Christ came to give them.

For Pastor Leslie — a former Alabama A&M University student who spent eight years in the U. S. Army Reserve — his rise to selling out solely to God began at the tender age of 12.

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, who’s widely regarded as a man who God has commissioned and ordained to assure that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is disseminated to all mankind, Pastor Leslie  emerged as a young, gifted saxophonist, one who customarily played gospel music on a slew of platforms — most notably appearing as opening acts for a number of national recording artists.

Interestingly, it wasn’t until 1999 that he officially answered the call of God on his life, a development that had ultimately given way to his becoming a licensed minister at the historic Greater Hope Tabernacle Church in his native establishment.

A former armor bearer, whose kingdom duties included traveling the country as an adjutant (or godly servant), amongst the notable factors Pastor Leslie discovered was that authentic ministry meant to “to meet the needs of the people.”

All of which had eventually led to his much-anticipated Pastorate tenure in 2003 when he was installed as Senior Pastor of Greater Hope Tabernacle Church  in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a milestone that unfolded just two years after he had become an ordained elder.

Nearly a decade later, however, Pastor Leslie assumed his next major ministerial assignment when he founded Abundant Life Ministries in Lawrenceville along with his beloved companion.

A native of Los Angeles, Lady Leslie is a former salon owner and master stylist, who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness.

Not to be outdone, though, while it seemed she was “sold out to that religion” for an extended period of time, arguably the most crucial phenomenon she had come to discover is that Jesus isn’t just the Reason for every season but, above all, He’s the Reason she’s been set aside for God’s use.

THIS IS HOLY GROUND

SERVANT’S HEART — A former armor bearer, whose kingdom duties included traveling the country as an adjutant (or godly servant), amongst the notable factors Pastor Leslie discovered was that authentic ministry meant to “to meet the needs of the people.” All of which had eventually led to his much-anticipated Pastorate tenure in 2003 when he was installed as Senior Pastor of Greater Hope Tabernacle Church  in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a milestone that unfolded just two years after he had become an ordained elder.

How else to explain why she serves with keen, immeasurable excellence alongside her husband as a devoted evangelist?

“She strives to help women know their worth and value,” said a spokesperson in a detailed introduction of Lady Leslie, who also serves as director of Abundant Life Church Of Atlanta and Augusta’s Women’s Ministry, whereby she assembles and oversees programs that will enable disciple women to grow and thrive in their relationship with Christ.

Having adopted a mission in which she’s destined to “win lost souls to Christ,” Lady Leslie’s other kingdom-based responsibilities include hosting an annual women’s retreat and a monthly women’s bible study.

BEACON OF LIGHT — Officially referred to as Abundant Life Worship Center, this institution that has become a fixture in the Atlanta metropolitan area and has flourished fervently since its 2012 inception, in large part because it continues to fortify its awe-inspiring vision that’s centered on meeting people where they are, thus helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Interestingly, she is widely known for being a relationship coach, which affords her the golden opportunity to empower women of all ages, particularly through life-enhancing speeches, health and wellness, and encouraging wholeness.

The owner and adviser of the Mentor Me MasterClass — a Christian-based company and mentorship program that centers on providing spiritual oversight, wisdom, guidance, and purpose for women — Lady Leslie is an advocate for inspiring women from various walks of life to execute the essential work that would greatly enable them to savor a physically, emotionally, and spiritually-equipped healthy lifestyle.

“Our ministry is targeted toward couples and families,” Pastor Leslie said.

Now we know why.

Talk about a massive, life-changing endeavor, one that, to this couple’s distinctly unique credit, is steadily impacting and enriching the kingdom unlike never before.

Atlanta-area author Sadie Evans experienced the ‘spirit of healing’ through her new book

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NIV)

DALLAS — Truth be told, Sadie Evans knew all along.

She knew that when adversity surfaced in her life to challenge her faith, God had her covered.

She knew that when he faith was seemingly on the brink of evaporating, God had her covered.

She knew that even when it seemed that her ability to walk in victory appeared virtually  insurmountable, God had her covered.

She knew that in spite of every tear she released into the atmosphere, God had her covered.

GRACEFUL WOMAN

PURPOSED FOR PAIN — A book that is a few weeks removed from its much-anticipated release, Atlanta-area author Sadie Evans is the mastermind behind “Graceful Tears: Cries From A Gracefully Broken Woman.”

Because truth be told, there was a silver-lining attached to all of those times she was left weeping — one that came wrapped up in a book that figures to advance the kingdom for such a pivotal time as now.

“The vision for this book was given to me in 2014, but because of life circumstances, I could not complete it,” Evans, an Atlanta-area author, told Making Headline News this week.

Released officially on February 8, 2019, Evans’ “Graceful Tears: Cries From A Gracefully Broken Woman” was assembled through what this authors describes as “life’s hardships and storms,” many of which were meant to break her, according to a detailed breakdown of Evans’ book at Amazon.com.

Despite the flurry of developments that essentially proved to be temporary barricades as it pertains to Evans finishing her book, she managed to demonstrate enough faith to press on through her project until it eventually became an awe-inspiring masterpiece.

A book that is a few weeks removed from its much-anticipated release, Evans is the mastermind behind “Graceful Tears: Cries From A Gracefully Broken Woman.”

Released officially on February 8, 2019, Evans’ “Graceful Tears: Cries From A Gracefully Broken Woman” was assembled through what this authors appropriately describes as “life’s hardships and storms,” many of which were meant to break her, according to a detailed breakdown of Evans’ book at Amazon.com.

PEEP THIS — As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through her first book, Evans stressed, among other things, that God’s people must adopt the mindset to press diligently through life’s difficulties, even when things are falling apart.

“God’s grace kept me when I couldn’t keep myself,” Evans said in the introduction of her book at Amazon.com. “All the tears I shed and we shed, God sees them and He will never leave us or forsake us. You will never look at storms in life the same after reading this book on life, lessons, faith, triumph, and perseverance.”

A book that is comprised of 54 pages in length, Evans’ “Graceful Tears: Cries From A Gracefully Broken Woman” was produced largely as a strategic way to help people from various walks of life, most notably those who struggle to see God’s grace in their live, yet realize that because of His grace, we are still here and walking out our destiny regardless of the dark seasons we go through,” Evans emphasized.

BUT GOD — Despite the flurry of developments that essentially proved to be temporary barricades as it pertains to Evans finishing her book, she managed to demonstrate enough faith to press on through her project until it eventually became a finished project.

As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through her first book, Evans stressed, among other things, that God’s people must adopt the mindset to press diligently through life’s difficulties, even when things are falling apart.

“(You’ve got to) have faith to know that if God is for us, nothing can be against us,” Evans says with such authority.

Much to her delight, the feedback since the release of Evans’ book has been overwhelmingly favorable.

“(People have said this is a) very powerful and anointed book,” Evans said. “People have retraced their steps in life and apologized to children, letting go of fear and increasing their faith in God.”

Interestingly, Evans said her new book has become a spiritual gut-checking resource, of sorts, particularly as it relates to her own ability to heal.

“This book has healed me and made me realize that even with all that I went through — rejection, childhood trauma, domestic violence, and being a single mother of five kids — God was there every step of the way,” Evans explained. “Also, it made me realize how vital self-love is, because I was lacking self-love. I fell into any of these (unhealthy) situations.”

Now that she’s made her authorship debut, Evans has announced that Book No. 2 is presently in the works. The title: “Learning To Love Thyself,” which is scheduled to be released this summer.

In addition, she will be hosting her first empowerment conference that is scheduled for October 12, 2019.

“I am a single mother of five children that did not allow the generational curses that were on my family or the stigma that being a single mother carries stop me,” Evans, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, said. “I recently relocated to Georgia from Nebraska on my own to make a better life for myself and my children.

UP NEXT — Now that she’s made her authorship debut, Evans has announced that Book No. 2 is presently in the works. The title: “Learning To Love Thyself,” which is scheduled to be released this summer.

“I am also a first generation college grad and business owner,” Evans continued. “With God the Head of my life, I am pulling down strongholds of poverty and the curses that have plagued my family for decades.”

Truth be told, she knew all along — knew that when adversity had surfaced in her life to challenge her faith, God had her covered.

Every step of the way.

Accomplished Atlanta author Dr. Carolyn Stephens spearheads a book that figures to change a generation

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Romans 8:37 KJV)

GOD’S LEADING LADY

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW SEASON — An accomplished Atlanta-area author and businesswoman, Dr. Carolyn Stephens is responsible for forwarding the book entitled, “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2,” her much-anticipated sophomore edition that is is widely known as “One Voice” — a project that addresses a variety of pertinent topics, most notably surviving divorce, sexual and physical abuse, broken identity, and mental illness, among other subjects.

DALLAS — Dr. Carolyn Stephens has something she needs to get off of her chest.

So pay attention.

“The black woman has been stereotypically criticized, marginalized, and sexualized for decades, and most of the negative connotations are a misunderstanding or a traditional belief system that has continued to demean the women of our culture,” Dr. Stephens, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explain in detail the developments that fueled her desire to write an awe-inspiring book.

It is, by all accounts, due in large part to this assortment of stereotypes that Dr. Stephens deemed it absolutely essential to compose a book that figures to enrich and impact a generation for years to come.

An accomplished Atlanta-area author and businesswoman, Dr. Stephens is responsible for forwarding the book entitled, “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2,” her much-anticipated sophomore edition that is is widely known as “One Voice” — a project that addresses a variety of pertinent topics, most notably surviving divorce, sexual and physical abuse, broken identity, and mental illness, among other subjects.

THE PROVERBS 31 FACTOR

“I decided to construct a book project that would allow black women to have a voice and vocalize their obstacles, processes, and victories,” Dr. Stephens said.

As this gifted author-turned-businesswoman explained, her primary objective for composing a second edition of “I Am A Black Woman” was centered largely on uniting a dozen black women from various walks of life, all of whom demonstrate the courage to share a common goal and vision as a strategic way to create healing, thus establish a sense of unity within their respective community.

ON ONE ACCORD — More than anything, Dr. Stephens acknowledged, she’s especially appreciative to the gallery of African-American authors who collectively bought into her massive vision to construct a book that figures to impact a generation and will be promoted in a number of establishments around the country, most notably New York, Alabama, Warner Robins, Georgia, Detroit, as well as Florida, Texas, and Jamaica.

“We have chosen to execute this book in the form of an anthology to create a level of cohesiveness between black women in order to demonstrate the results of what we call sister synergy,” said Dr. Stephens, explaining her purpose for “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2. “This compilation book project not only discloses the many challenges that black women face, such as divorce, sexual and physical violence, single parenthood, etc., but also speaks of the therapeutic resolutions necessary to bring about change.”

Interestingly, Dr. Stephens — who’s widely known also as a public speaker and a clinical therapist — disclosed a rather intriguing statistic pertaining to the struggles a slew of struggles with which countless of black women customarily endure.

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE — Interestingly, Dr. Stephens — who’s widely known also as a public speaker and a clinical therapist — disclosed a rather intriguing statistics pertaining to the struggles a slew of struggles with which countless of black women customarily endure.

“Over several years of working in my practice, I discovered that 98 percent of my patient population was African-American single women, who were often- times diagnosed with dual diagnoses as a result of the traumatic experiences they have endured,” Dr. Stephens explained. “I was challenged to explore the emotional triggers and root causes that produce many of the toxic behaviors demonstrated among many black women that oftentimes cause us to stay divided.”

All things considered and to her credit, such a discovery practically sums up why Dr. Stephens thought it necessary to assemble a second edition of “I Am A Black Woman.”

“As a result of launching this project, a loving sisterhood was birthed and has now developed into a long awaited movement,” Dr. Stephens said of her forthcoming book, which is scheduled to be officially released in June. “The sisterhood of the IAABW represents the edification and affirmation of the black woman.”

More than anything, Dr.

“Myself and the co-authors of IAABW would like to help support the healing process of the black family and see the revival of the black community through love, strength, and prosperity,” Dr. Stephens said.

BUT GOD — As this gifted author-turned-businesswoman explained, her primary objective for composing a second edition of “I Am A Black Woman” was centered largely on uniting a dozen black women from various walks of life, all of whom demonstrate the courage to share a common goal and vision as a strategic way to create healing, thus establish a sense of unity within their respective community.

Ironically, Dr. Stephens thought it essential to compose a book in a rather similar fashion, or one that would be centered primarily on African-American men.

Just recently, Dr. Stephens announced that she will be producing an “I Am A Black Man” book that is slated to be released in October 2019.

“The IAABW movement is continuing to grow,” Dr. Stephens said. “We are proud to announce the launching of (I Am A Black Man), thus solidifying our belief that we are a community that is strong and powerful.”

So pay attention.

Atlanta-area empowerment extraordinaire Sylinda Mumphery to host 3rd Annual RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony

Sylinda Mumphery’s spiritual reputation is such that she has a heart for embracing women who have emerged as feel good stories.

Men, too.

Such will be the case when Mumphery host the third annual RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony on March 16 in Smyrna, Georgia.

CHANGING A GENERATION

HEART FOR GOD’S PEOPLE — Atlanta-area businesswoman Sylinda Mumphery’s spiritual reputation is such that she has a heart for embracing women who have emerged as feel good stories. Such will be the case when Mumphery host the third annual RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony on March 16 in Smyrna, Georgia.

Powered by Women’s History Month, the RTB (or Removing The Bandages) Winning Women Awards Ceremony will take place at the Smyrna Community Center, located at 200 Village Green Circle SE.

“The purpose of this event is to honor and celebrate women who are overcomers and survivors of domestic violence, rape, cancer, burn victims, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness and so much more,” Mumphery told Making Headline News this week. “We also celebrate and honor women who are making a difference in the lives of others by giving back to their communities or serving our country.”

In addition, Mumphery said this event is essential, in large part because women customarily carry what she describes as “a lot of pain and sometimes carry our wounds in our wombs.”

“There are many that want to give up and throw in the towel,” Mumphery said. “Therefore, we take this night to uplift each woman and let our sisters know that we love them and that no matter what has happened, we are not what happened to us.  We are beautiful, powerful, and have a purpose in life.”

The owner and CEO of SylindaD, LLC, Mumphery’s RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony is a three-day event that will commence with a with an opening-day meet-and-greet on Friday, March 15.

The actual event will begin the next day and will culminate on Sunday with attendees engaging in morning worship and brunch.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.sylindad.com/.

“It’s a full weekend of sisterhood, empowerment, love and excitement,” Mumphery said.

The owner and CEO of SylindaD, LLC, Mumphery’s RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony is a three-day event that will commence with a with an opening-day meet-and-greet on Friday, March 15.

Interestingly, for the time since the inception of Mumphery’s awards ceremony, there will be a segment that will be centered on honoring men, most notably three recipients who will become beneficiaries of the Mighty Man of Valor Awards.

“Our purpose for honoring men this year is that we’ve had a lot of men that have begun to follow the movement. We realize that men wear bandages as well, but carry their wounds differently. Many have survived through battles that should have killed them, but they came out alive and are also making a difference and giving back. They also deserve to be honored and celebrated for not giving up and standing tall for their family, friends, and community.” — Sylinda Mumphery

Having described the feedback as “incredible” since the inception of her event, Mumphery emphasized the RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony essentially is a platform, of sorts, for those being honored to tell their stories and testimonies of how God spared their lives and how they’ve had to overcome a slew of obstacles in order to continue standing strong, she said.

HATS OFF TO YOU BROTHAS — Interestingly, for the time since the inception of Mumphery’s awards ceremony, there will be a segment that will be centered on honoring men, most notably three recipients who will become beneficiaries of the Mighty Man of Valor Awards.

“For some, it’s their first time ever being honored or telling their story,” said Mumphery, who’s also an accomplished author, mentor, speaker, and an Atlanta-area radio talk show host. “So often we experience life’s interruptions and become blindsided, because we never expected certain situations, incidents, or tragedies to affect us directly.

Much to her delight, Mumphery’s assortment of hardships and personal tragedies throughout the years have never caused her waver. If nothing else, such unfavorable circumstances only fueled her desire to press and navigate toward her destiny, most notably through a movement that had become a fixture throughout the Body of Christ.

GOD’S LEADING LADY

LETTING HER LIGHT SHINE — Having described the feedback as “incredible” since the inception of her event, Mumphery emphasized the RTB Winning Women Awards Ceremony essentially is a platform, of sorts, for those being honored to tell their stories and testimonies of how God spared their lives and how they’ve had to overcome a slew of obstacles in order to continue standing strong, she said.

“(The) Removing The Bandages Movement was birthed out of brokenness,” Mumphery said. “I never knew that God could take broken pieces and create beautiful art.  After having two breast cancer scares and almost losing my left breast, I was hurt and ashamed of my wound.  I thought that if I wore bandages daily, that I would not notice the scars.  Even after losing everything and facing divorce, I thought that makeup, expensive jewelry, expensive car, shoes and clothes would cover the pain.

“As women, we look for love in all the wrong places and sometimes cause self-inflicted wounds to ourselves,” Mumphery continued. “This movement moves inside of me wherever I go, because every time I come in contact with a woman — no matter her race, socioeconomic status, background, size or shape — I want her to know that she does not have to live her life behind her bandages and that once she rips them off of her and embrace her scars, she will eventually find out that they are now her beauty mark, because God will give you beauty for ashes.”

Five and counting.

That is how many awe-inspiring books accomplished empowerment extraordinaire Sylinda Mumphery has written over the past 12 years.

KICK BACK AND READ THIS — Atlanta-area author Sylinda Mumphery’s latest book is entitled, The Heartbeat Of A Woman,” an inspirational and informative written document that made its much-anticipated presence on the market Mother’s Day weekend.

Her latest: The Heartbeat Of A Woman, an inspirational and informative written document that made its much-anticipated presence on the market Mother’s Day weekend.

For Mumphery, a native of Cordele, Georgia who resides in Atlanta, her latest book was composed in large part because her primary desire is for women to understand that their hearts are delicate and that they must be careful of whom they allow to hold it.

“When we were created, our hearts became one with God and it is the most precious gift on the inside of us,” Mumphery told Making Headline News this week. “Everyone is not capable or equipped to carry the weight, power or the magnitude of love that flows from our hearts.”

Having grasped the vision last September to produce her latest book, Mumphery needed just a few months to complete The Heartbeat Of A Woman, a rather brief project that was released less than a year after her previous book, The Secrets Within.

Widely known amongst her peers as “Sylinda D,” Mumphery is owner and CEO of SylindaD, LLC and is widely known as the founder of Removing The Bandages Women Movement.

Besides The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within, Mumphery is the mastermind behind the books: Malcolm And Peanut, a children’s book that was released in 2006), In The Name Of Love, a book that designed for teens that was released that same year, and Heal My Private Parts, a project that hit the market in 2014.

ATTRACTING MEDIA COVERAGE — For Mumphery, a native of Cordele, Georgia who resides in Atlanta, her latest book was composed in large part because her primary desire is for women to understand that their hearts are delicate and that they must be careful of whom they allow to hold it.

As for her latest book, Mumphery is extremely appreciative of the favorable feedback she’s garnered in such a brief timeframe since its ceremonious release.

“I have received positive feedback so far,” Mumphery said. “Several women have told me that they can relate to the chapters and have found themselves in at least one or two (occurrences).”

Asked in what ways is her latest book a part of the purpose for which God has created her, Mumphery, without hesitation, said: “There is so much that I can say in regard to this question.  I have experienced a lot of heartbreak in my lifetime; however I now understand that my pain was for my purpose. This book speaks of several types of heartbeats and I can relate to each one.”

STARTING LINEUP — Besides The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within, Mumphery is the mastermind behind the books: Malcolm And Peanut, a children’s book that was released in 2006), In The Name Of Love, a book that designed for teens that was released that same year, and Heal My Private Parts, a project that hit the market in 2014.

Which, as a result, practically sums up why Mumphery is thoroughly persuaded that The Heartbeat Of A Woman is especially prevalent for such a time as now?

All things considered, there mere fact that she’s conquered and outlasted her assortment of hurtful encounters, she’s destined to help others follows suit.

“I want to see every woman win and be the best that she was created to be,” Mumphery said. “I realized that if I continued to hold onto my pain and carry it on the inside of my heart, then I would never be a complete woman or walk in my purpose.  I went through the fire and endured the pain, so that I could reach back and pull my sisters out, to let them know that even though their heart may have experienced trauma, they did not flat line and that they too can make it.”

With a few scheduled public appearances, during which she will promote and speak in detail about her new book, Mumphery has announced that Part 2 of The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within are presently in the works, as well as “many more books to come,” she acknowledged.

Besides being a notable and accomplished author, Mumphery is a mentor, motivational speaker, and an Atlanta-based radio talk show host.

MAKING HER ROUNDS — With a few scheduled public appearances, during which she will promote her new book, Mumphery has announced that Part 2 of The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within are presently in the works, as well as “many more books to come,” she acknowledged.

As for her latest project, she doesn’t shy away from the notion that offering a great deal of transparency, coupled with viewing obstacles from God’s perspective, have benefited her mightily as a longtime and thriving author.

Five books and counting.

For the record.

“We must guard our hearts and be careful that we don’t allow others to cause it to bleed,” Mumphery said. “When we discover who we are and what’s on the inside of us, then we will understand that not everyone is worthy of entrance into the place that produces life within us.”

Atlanta gospel recording artist Joshua Israel conquers 45-minute death at age 11, advancing the kingdom through his gifts

Just before midday on the final Friday in March, Joshua Israel took to his Facebook page, where he deemed it essential to encourage the hearts of his 4,900-plus social media friends.

LAND OF MILK AND HONEY — A married father with a healthy and happy family, Atlanta’s Joshua Israel has become a fixture in the Body of Christ as a talented psalmist, considering he is widely known for ministering, particularly as an award-winning solo artist. Just recently, he witnessed the much-anticipated release of two singles and, if that isn’t enough to turn heads, he will be releasing a new single and video entitled “You’re Not Alone 2.0” in the coming weeks.

Said Israel in a rather awe-inspiring post: Happy Favor Friday! It’s a great day to be Alive!! I hope that you’re intentionally participating in your own life. Don’t just allow life to happen to you. After all, you happened to life #riseupandbeyourtrueself

A pretty purposeful and spirited post by a gifted and talented individual whom, to his credit, has grasped a thorough concept of what it means to allow life to happen to him.

“A key value I have learned from my upbringing is that right is right, wrong is wrong…it and doesn’t matter who’s doing it,” Israel told Making Headline News during a weekend interview.

Because of whom he is and because of where God has predestined to take him, it’s safe to assume that Israel undoubtedly has done more right than wrong.

For starters, the 39-year-old native of St. Louis was raised in a Christian-oriented household, where strict Biblical principles had become a customary trend, considering he  widely known throughout the Body of Christ as a PK, or “Preacher’s Kid.”

“I was raised Pentecostal/Apostolic, but when I was 15, my father added what he called Biblical marriage/polygyny to our religious practice,” Israel recalled. “I have been in church all my life a PK, thus I have seen a lot.”

HIS ‘NO. 1 FAN’ — Because he was determined to remain completely sold out to God, coupled with his wife’s unyielding support, Israel is witnessing his Creator take him to immense heights in the kingdom, as only He could.

As Israel specifically explains, it wasn’t until after what he described as a series of events that he began to witness God “open my eyes.”

That, in a nutshell, is when he had effectively come to grips with the notion that suggested the way he was raised was “no longer for my family and me,” he said forthrightly.

“We parted ways over five years ago,” Israel said without hesitation, “and haven’t looked back.”

A little more than five years removed from what apparently had become an unceremonious — but necessary — separation from his family, amongst the things Israel has discovered is that God can use anyone, at any given time, whenever He so pleases.

NATIONAL IMPACT — To Israel’s credit, his notable musical gifts have given way to him making appearances on TBN, TV57, the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow Push Coalition  Conference, Bobby Jones Presents, Radio One, as well as a host of local festivals and churches.

Fortunately for Israel and his family that resides in Atlanta, God isn’t just using them but, unlike never before, He’s allowing him to put his immeasurable kingdom gifts on display in ways unimaginable.

A married father with a healthy and happy family, Israel has become a fixture in the Body of Christ as a talented psalmist, considering he is widely known for ministering, particularly as an award-winning solo artist and songwriter.

Just recently, he witnessed the much-anticipated release of two singles and, if that isn’t enough to turn heads, he will be releasing a new single and video entitled “You’re Not Alone 2.0” in the coming weeks.

“This is the song God gave me the day I left my father’s religion,” Israel, who’s also an accomplished businessman, said.

SOLD OUT TO GOD — As Israel specifically explains, it wasn’t until after he described as a series of events that he began to witness God “open my eyes.”

And because he was determined to remain completely sold out to God, coupled with his wife’s unyielding support, Israel is witnessing his Creator take him to immense heights in the kingdom, as only He could.

“My wife has always been what I call my No. 1 fan and supporter,” Israel said of his companion, whom he met at 10 years of age and married approximately eight years later. “She’s my rock. She keeps me balanced.”

Interestingly, Israel’s band was once comprised of his four older children, a trend that eventually gave way to them winning back-to-back Atlanta’s Gospel Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017.

AND THE WINNER IS — Nearly three decades removed from that death-to-life encounter, now we know why he is so destined to live and dwell on the larger side of God.

Talk about living and dwelling on the larger side of God.

MORE ON JOSHUA ISRAEL:  www.jisrael.org

“I’ve been quoting Acts 2:38 since I was about three (years old), so preaching is something I’ve always known,” Israel said. “I was born to do it, but didn’t want to for different reasons.”

Having first begun singing in church at the tender age of five, it wasn’t until Israel had turned 19 when he surrendered his life wholeheartedly to God and, in June 1998, he began preaching the gospel.

Consequently, he became the youth pastor and praise and worship under the leadership of father prior to his unlikely exit.

Interestingly, Israel’s band was once comprised of his four older children, a trend that eventually gave way to them winning back-to-back Atlanta’s Gospel Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017.

All things considered, though, his primary focus remained the same — lifting up Christ the best way he knew how.

To his credit, his notable musical gifts have given way to him making appearances on TBN, TV57, the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow Push Coalition  Conference, Bobby Jones Presents, Radio One, as well as a host of local festivals and churches.

Talk about an array of accomplishments — all of this after having been deceased for a considerable amount of time amid being electrocuted at the tender age of 11.

“While living in College Park, Georgia, I climbed a neighborhood tree,” Israel recalled.

What happened shortly thereafter had eventually sent shock waves through the Israel household.

That’s because after finding his way to the very top of the tree, Israel somehow had become entangled in the power line which, according to him, “connected with me and didn’t turn me loose until it crossed my heart three times, finally exiting my left leg leaving two holes.”

Having first begun singing in church at the tender age of five, it wasn’t until Israel had turned 19 when he surrendered his life wholeheartedly to God and, in June 1998, he began preaching the gospel.

Consequently, Israel’s brother and a neighbor removed his lifeless body from the tree, during which paramedics arrived to what Israel referred to as “a dead boy.”

“They had to use the shockers and defibrillators on me,” said Israel telling his testimony for probably the umpteenth time.

According to Israel, medical records indicated that he had been unconscious for up to 45 minutes, a development that led to him having to spend an entire month in nearby Grady Memorial Intensive care burn unit, during which he received a skin graph.

Nearly three decades removed from that death-to-life encounter, now we know why he is so destined to live and dwell on the larger side of God.

“That experience is the very reason I’m not only a believer in God, but know God to be real in spite of,” Israel said.

And for the record, know this also: Because God has revealed Himself time and again in his life, he has no plans of looking back.

Georgia author Shameka Pointer joint authors book with fiancée; is mastermind behind five other books

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NIV)

Shameka Pointer and her fiancée, Al Newell, first crossed paths in May 2017.

GODLY POWER COUPLE — An Atlanta-area couple who doesn’t shy away from the notion that God undoubtedly is the Focal Point of their courtship, Shameka Pointer and Al Newell co-authored the awe-inspiring book entitled, “Dating To Marry,” a newly-released, informative written documents that recalls this couple’s assortment of interpersonal relational experiences.

With God, their Helper, leading the way, they’ve since wasted little time collectively becoming engaged in a rather unique activity, one that figures to impact and enrich the lives of an array of couples, most notably those whose relationship is on the right path to marriage.

An Atlanta-area couple who doesn’t shy away from the notion that God undoubtedly is the Focal Point of their courtship, Pointer and Newell co-authored the awe-inspiring book entitled, “Dating To Marry,” a newly-released, informative written document that recalls this couple’s assortment of interpersonal relational experiences.

“Dating may seem unimportant but in reality, but it is the foundation that you set for marriage,” said a spokesperson in a detailed synopsis of Pointer and Newell’s book at http://www.lulu.com/. “Whomever you set out to date will more likely help you decide if you really want to date this person to marry them. This book will help you analyze the importance of dating.”

BUY DATING TO MARRY HERE: http://www.lulu.com/shop/http://www.lulu.com/shop/shameka-pointer-and-al-newell/dating-to-marry/paperback/product-23530380.html

All things considered, Pointer, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, emphasized that it was absolutely essential to compose Dating To Marry, in large because the modern-day church has, in some aspects, shied away from — as she calls it — “getting down and dirty” to do the necessary things that will keep the sanctity of marriage intact.

“(We’re trying) to help people be more open-minded to living a Christian life and not just saying you are a Christian, bearing no fruit or showing no signs,” said Pointer, explaining the purpose of Dating To Marry. “In this book, we talk about the importance of dating with a purpose and not just dating for self-gain and irrelevant reasons.”

To her distinctly unique credit, it’s safe to assume that Pointer can appropriately be labeled as a serial author, of sorts, considering this native of Town Creek, Alabama is responsible for having written five other compelling books.

In June 2012, she witnessed the release of her book entitled, “Being Free And Staying Free: The Natural And Spiritual Laws of Being Free At All Cost.”

BUY BEING FREE AND STAYING FREE HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Being-Free-Staying-Natural-Spiritual/dp/1462676944

A 32-page project that can be purchased at Amazon.com, Being Free And Staying Free demonstrates different ways one could be gripped in bondage.

“Our minds can’t even imagine how many obstacles come into our lives to hinder our growth and accomplishments,” Pointer explains. “How many times have we asked ourselves, ‘Why can’t I get passed this situation?’ or ‘Why does it seem like I’m going in circles?’ Being Free And Staying Free is here to open up your understanding on how to be free and stay free in your life.”

And then there is Poems Of Courage, a 34-page book Pointer released in July 2013.

BUY POEMS OF COURAGE HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Poems-Courage-Shameka-Pointer/dp/1627724893

In this book, Pointer shares her immense gifts through poetry, recalling among other things, her slew of struggles with life’s situations that, at one point in time, seemed insurmountable and downright unbearable.

But God…

“As I wrote the book, the stronger I became,” Pointer said. “This book will give you the strength you need to carry out life’s sometimes difficult situations. It’s full of strength, encouragement, and hope. It will bless you without a doubt, so be blessed.”

Not to be outdone, Pointer authored a two-part series written document entitled, Surviving The System: The Life of A Foster Child and Surviving The System: The Life of A Foster Child, Part 2: An Emotional Healing Guide.

BUY SURVIVING THE SYSTEM HERE: http://www.lulu.com/shop/shameka-r-pointer/surviving-the-system-the-life-of-a-foster-child-a-guide-to-emotional-healing/paperback/product-23301593.html

A book that made its way to the market in April 2017, Surviving The System: The Life of A Foster Child depicts the life of a foster child, with a special emphasis on opening the eyes of people when it comes to the slew of emotions and behaviors of that of a foster child.

Also, in March 2016, Pointer’s book, When The Head Refuses To Pray: The Body Withers And Dies, was officially released and has since has an immediate impact amongst her reading audience.

A 48-page project, When The Head Refuses To Pray: The Body Withers And Dies recalls Pointer’s tumultuous, chaotic experiences, particularly what she deems her “abusive unequally yoked marriage” she was in for 10 years.

BUY WHEN THE HEAD REFUSES TO PRAY HERE: https://www.amazon.com/When-Head-Refuses-Pray-Withers/dp/1530776937

“There was no consistent prayer in the marriage from the head, (during) which I did not survive,” Pointer explained. “So it talks about the importance of prayer and fasting together, but also as the head.”

YOU GO, GIRL!!!! To her distinctly unique credit, it’s safe to assume that Pointer can appropriately be labeled as a serial author, considering this native of Town Creek, Alabama is responsible for having written five other books.

An accomplished writer whose reputation is such that she is extremely passion about enhancing interpersonal relational skills amongst couples who seek to establish — and retain — healthy relationships, Pointer said it is by the grace of God, coupled with the divine calling on her life that she’s steadfastly walking in her purpose as an accomplished author.

Not to mention a devout woman of faith.

“The good, bad, and ugly times are what made me who I am today,” said Pointer, alluding specifically to her book, Surviving The System: The Life of A Foster Child.

In actuality, it seems that such an intriguing declaration is prevalent to the overall landscape of her life, a trend that has greatly fueled her desire to exercise her faith as an accomplished and gifted serial author.

Atlanta businessman Kent Osbourne defies odds as high school dropout, emerges as a successful entrepreneur

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

Might as well go ahead and get this part of Kent Osbourne II’s testimony out of the way.

He’s a high school dropout.

DRAMATIC COMEBACK FOR THE AGES — A native of Melbourne, Florida who currently resides in Atlanta, Kent Osbourne has emerged from being a high school dropout to becoming the proud owner and CEO of K.O Trucking LLC, Generation Changers International LLC, and Prison To Power Inc.

“I dropped out of school in the ninth grade,” the 40-year-old Osbourne told Making Headline News during an exclusive weekend interview.

As if that wasn’t enough to shakeup and rattle the overall landscape of Osbourne’s young life, his bolting high school prematurely had eventually given way to a flurry of other issues, considering he wound up becoming a convicted felon amid what he describes as “all kinds off oppositions,” not to mention what he referred to as a slew of “roadblocks, mountains, storms, disappointments, and letdowns.”

Still, even in the wake of his assortments of obstacles — a host of problematic occurrences that would have caused some to throw in the towel — a rather dramatic sequence of events arose of the life of this resilient young man whom, all things considered, was determined to defy the urge to quit.

How could that possibly be for a high school dropout whose decision to put his education by the wayside was supposed to have to disrupt his ability to succeed, reduce his effectiveness, thus live and dwell on the larger side of God?

“Failure was not an option,” Osbourne explained, fielding the question as if he expected it. “I was determined to succeed.”

Osbourne, in fact, recalled vividly those days during which no would hire which, truth be told, was quite understandable, considering he didn’t possess a high school diploma behind his name.

Still, just like God, he had other ideas.

“When no one wanted to hire me, I said I would start my own business and hire myself, so that’s what I did,” Osbourne said.

Much to his delight, he had done just, having become owner of not one, not two, but three businesses, a trend that has benefited him mightily throughout the years.

A native of Melbourne, Florida who currently resides in Atlanta, Osbourne is the proud owner and CEO of K.O Trucking LLC, Generation Changers International LLC, and Prison To Power Inc.

WHAT ABOUT KENT OSBOURNE? www.kentosbourne.com

HOW YA LIKE ME NOW? Even in the wake of his assortments of obstacles — a host of problematic occurrences that would have caused some to throw in the towel — a rather dramatic sequence of events arose of the life of this resilient young man whom, all things considered, was determined to defy the urge to quit.

A little more than two decades removed from having dropped out of school, it’s safe to assume that “proud” undoubtedly is the operative word, particularly as it pertains to recalling Osbourne’s unlikely success story, given many would believe that this thriving entrepreneur was set up to fail miserably.

Still, just like God, he had other ideas.

“I always have been independent since a youth,” Osbourne said. “I never wanted a handout.”

For that reason, he sensed that the most logical remedy was to turn to selling drugs a reasonable outlet to survive and make ends meet.

“I became a big time drug dealer,” said Osbourne, who also started a record label labeled entitled, ‘Rapid Fire Records 2 LLC.’”

ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM — Even after being released from prison at 22 years of age, Osbourne was not to be outdone. Heck, if nothing else, he was determined not to become so consumed with the dreaded street, a trend that could have very well sent him back to prison, or perhaps to his grave all too soon.

Even after being released from prison at 22 years of age, Osbourne was not to be outdone. Heck, if nothing else, he was determined not to become so consumed with the dreaded street, a trend that could have very well sent him back to prison, or perhaps to his grave all too soon.

“Even when I was in the streets at 22, I was always a boss, whether it was selling drugs or running my record label,” Osbourne explained. “I’ve always had that entrepreneur spirit.”

To his credit, the only things that has changed with regard to exemplifying an “entrepreneur spirit” is that Osbourne is generating his income the old-fashioned way.

He’s earning it.

Legally, mind you.

“When the going got tough, the tough got going,” said Osbourne, whose business venture caters to people of all ages. “Now that I have God on my side Who gives the increase. Nothing can stop me from accomplishing my goals. As long as I keep God first, I’m going to accomplish so much more. This is only the beginning.”

Today, unlike never before, Osbourne doesn’t shy away from the notion that his primary mission through his business ventures is to provide service to people, save souls, touch lives, and also to motivate, inspire, and empower others to live to their fullest potential.

“I was inspired to do all this by a man in prison,” Osbourne said. “He told me if I wanted to be successful I needed to seek God. Once I listened to this man who came from the same dark place I did, I went to church in prison like he told me to, and the rest was history.”

It is, by all accounts, because he heeded some worthy advice and counsel while behind bars that Osbourne is yet walking in the divine purpose for which God created him.

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE — Today, unlike never before, Osbourne doesn’t shy away from the notion that his primary mission through his business ventures is to provide service to people, save souls, touch lives, and also to motivate, inspire, and empower others to live to their fullest potential.

On April 19, for example, he will be afforded the opportunity to share of his life-enhancing testimonies during a Houston-based correctional institution black tie event.

To his credit, his itinerary is starting to fill up mightily, given he’s scheduled to make public appearances in several places across the country through the end of the year.

So you might wanna book him now while you can.

“What I like most about being my business is that I’m able to make my own decisions, work when I want, work how long I want, work as hard as I want, make as much money as I want, and don’t have to worry about anyone telling me what I can, and what I can’t do,” Osbourne said. “You have the same ability I have if you would just transform your mind, and change the way you think.”

Much like he did some two decades ago.

Look at him today, living out his dreams, thus walking in the purpose for which God created him.

So much for dropping out of high school way back when.

Philadelphia native Charles Coe, Jr. having an immediate entrepreneurship impact as new Atlanta resident

Charles Coe, Jr. is a little more than a six months removed from having relocated from Philadelphia to Atlanta.
