For Jamila Johnson, this Texas author has come to diligently embrace this notion, particularly since she delved off into the world of authorship in recent years.
“As I studied the Proverbs 31 Woman, the Lord had me to breakdown verse by verse and to be transparent of how I was exemplifying myself at that present time,” Johnson, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, referring to the first book she authored.

“God had to frame my mindset on how to be a Proverbs 31 Woman and an example to women, even if you weren’t taught,” Johnson explained. “He still expects us to live out these standards. I, too, had to learn how to be this woman. I learned this is how I can please the Lord…by being a godly spouse.”

Approximately six months after making her authorship debut, Johnson witnessed the release of The Blemishes Within Jezebel, an 80-page written document whereby she shares insight about her own struggles of battling the proverbial Jezebel spirit, particularly during the first eight years of her marriage.

“I am able to share my testimony of how God has equipped me to be the woman I am today, and to help the women through book clubs, speaking engagements, and/or radio shows,” said Johnson, who announced that her book entitled, Fruits of the Spirit, is presently in the works. “The characteristics in the Proverbs 31 is not out of reach, and it is God’s will that we respect our husbands, speak with wisdom, be a help to the needy, and work with our hands, etc.”
