A Pastor who is the mastermind behind Open Heart Christian Ministries International — an institution that has become a fixture for bringing souls to Christ without judgement, coupled with loving with the love of Christ — Dr. Pointer’s Open Heart Counseling Services Inc.’s strategic mission is centered largely on addressing a wide range of life-enhancing and life-altering issues, with mental issues topping the list.
“I love what I do,” Dr. Pointer, a native of Town Creek, Alabama, said. “I’m forever helping individuals push through tragic times of their lives. Mental illness is something that runs deeply in my family, and truly believe God has graced me enough to be able to break that curse off me and my seed.”

“(I can identify) with any individual who need help in their mental health,” Dr. Pointer said. “I love what I do because I get to use my Psychology and Counseling Education to mend it with the Word of God which, to me, gives my clients the best treatment ever, including deliverances in their lives.”
Widely known as a Pastor, Christian Counselor and Chaplain, Dr. Pointer holds Bachelor, Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Christian Counseling and Psychology. In addition, she is a graduate of Apostle Uyi Abraham’s Christian College, where she garnered certification through his credible counseling organization.
Amongst the key attributes Dr. Pointer customarily exhibits during counseling sessions is her keen ability to fortify her spiritual gift of prophecy.
“My prophetic gift kicks in as I’m counseling, which is a double blessing,” Dr. Pointer said. “I was inspired by Apostle Uyi Abraham.”
While the coronavirus global pandemic essentially has negated public appearances and speaking engagements in the foreseeable future, Dr. Pointer, nonetheless, has been especially effective through her periodic online certification course for Christian Counseling.
“I am also about to start classes in person,” Dr. Pointer said. “I encourage someone to step out in faith and become who God has called you to be.”

“Sometimes your path will not look like someone else’s,” Dr. Pointer said, “but it’s the path He has for you and you can’t go wrong.”
