Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you; But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13 KJV)
WARRIOR FOR CHRIST
For Jean Turner, that God-mandated prophecy has finally come to pass.
“It had been prophesied to me that I would be writing a book, but little did I know that a book would be birthed as a result of the darkest time in my life,” Turner, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the emotionally-driven developments that led to her having made her much-anticipated authorship debut.
“I began journaling in September 2018, but didn’t know at that time my journal entries would morph into a book.”
To her credit, Turner has written three books to date, all of which are as good as advertised.
Turner’s The Spirit Of A Warrior: Jean’s Self-Care Journey Through Chemotherapy made it’s ceremonious release during arguably one of the most challenging moments of her life, yet it was God Who vividly spoke to her to assume such a life-altering assignment.
“One night, while I was undergoing chemotherapy treatments, I heard (God reveal to me) ‘The Spirit of A Warrior’ so loudly and clearly that it woke me up out of sleep,” Turner explained. “I had already begun journaling at the beginning of what I refer to as my suddenly health challenge.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
A little more than a year later, Turner had emphatically made her authorship debut with the release of a book that has become an instant — and constant — page-turner.
Not to be outdone, Turner wasted little time composing her sophomore book, this one entitled, His Story, Her Story, God’s Glory which, according to Turner, “picks up where Spirit of A Warrior left off,” she acknowledged.

“I was given the vision to write it when I was rewriting A Time to Testify,” said Turner, referring to her third book that’s suitably entitled, A Time to Testify: The Remix.
Ironically, Turner’s His Story, Her Story, God’s Glory, and A Time to Testify: The Remix both were released in March 2020, approximately ninth months after the debut of her initial written work.
“My plan was to include the story as a part of another project but when I shared it with my Pastor, she said to me that she heard in her spirit that it is to be written separately,” said Turner, explaining the purpose for Book Nos. 1 and 2.
As for what fueled her desire to produce her books, Turner essentially had one pivotal objective in mind: to glorify God.
“The reason I chose to publish these books is because I knew God was in it, that He would be glorified as a result because there’s someone, somewhere whose faith will be ignited, restored or even strengthened from reading what He brought me through,” Turner said. “We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. All three books are testimonies of His healing, miracle working power and proof that the prayers of the righteous carry much power.”
A retired military veteran who spent more than two decades in the U.S. Army, coupled with having served as an Army Nurse Corps Officer, Turner is the orginator of the Atlanta-based “Health Chat with Coach Jean,” her globally-acclaimed health radio and podcast show that airs on Positive Power XXI Christian Media.
A native New Yorker, Turner also is an accomplished registered nurse and a health coach whose careers spans 33 years.
As for the divine messages she aspires to send to her reading audience through her trio of books, Turner said:
“We may never understand the reason or reasons for why we go through what we go through. If we believe that our steps are ordered by God, that all things work together for our good, then we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be. In His timing, God will bring us through the fire stronger, healthier, wiser, closer to Him than ever before.”
As expected, Turner has become the beneficiary of an array of favorable feedback since the releases of her books.
“Seems like I’m always hearing that the books and my transparency in them have inspired others,” Turner said. “One particular story that resonates with me is one woman who happened to receive a copy of The Spirit of A Warrior, when she was contemplating suicide and had been trying to dial-up to speak with someone on the suicide hotline.”

After the woman read Turner’s initial book, a familiar kind of “suddenly” had suddenly emerged, something with which this Christian-based author can surely identify.
“She wrote me a letter asking the question, ‘How did you know?’” Turner recalls. “All I did was be obedient to the Holy Spirit, obtain her address from my Pastor and send her a copy of the book along with the accompanying self-care journal. For this particular book, for every three sold, I donate one along with self-care journal to someone currently going through cancer treatments.”
What a major difference that God-mandated prophecy having come to pass has made.
“I’m called to teach others how to be stewards over their health,” Turner says without hesitation.
Spoken like a true warrior with a beautiful, godly spirit.
