Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13 NKJV)
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
The way Darlaina Rose’s faith is set up, even in the wake of wilderness experiences, she doesn’t think it necessary to utter the term “lost.”
As it pertains to the frequent unfavorable circumstances that often emerge in her life to challenge her faith, Rose has appropriately coined another suitable term.
“So much had gone wrong in my life,” Rose, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the tumultuous, life-altering developments that have driven her ever-so-closely to God. “I had released my home, my car, my job after caring for my ex-husband. I say ‘release’ because ‘lost’ is a word that can be construed as negative. ‘Released’ means to let go for what’s next.”
For Rose, a Philadelphia Christian-based author, even amid her dreaded season of “release,” God stepped in at the appointed time and provided for her a massive way of escape, as she writes in her book entitled, How I Got Here My Holistic Healing Journey.
As Rose recalls, her rise to finding her niche as an author surfaced after having crossed paths with renowned Linkedin Professor Tajuana Ross.

“One of my friends paid for me to have a coaching session with (Ross),” Rose explained. “She told me that I had to write a book. I resisted. Then, I heard my mentor and friend, Dr. Sandi Afia Williams, say, ‘Darlaina, do you think you are special? Do you think you are the only one this has happened to?’ After allowing me to stay at her home for six months to get on my feet, she said. ‘You can cry today, but tomorrow we are going to create a plan.’”
And, the rest, as they say, was history.
Fortunately for Rose, such a strategic plan that was spearheaded by her mentor included, among other things, a book that has changed the overall landscape of her life.
A book that is comprised of 130 pages in length, Rose’s How I Got Here My Holistic Healing Journey is widely regarded as a book of health and holistic healing, one that vividly explains how you can take your own health into your hands and save yourself.
“Don’t accept end dates for your life,” said a spokesperson for Rose’s How I Got Here My Holistic Healing Journey in a detailed synopsis of her book at Amazon.com. “Do your own due diligence and learn what’s best for you. You are not a textbook.”
Interestingly, Rose’s How I Got Here My Holistic Healing Journey is accompanied by nutritional remedies for chronic illness.
“There is even a little love and a lot of forgiveness in this book,” an Amazon spokesperson said. “Learn how you can start your own journey of holistic healing. Get your 30-day health planner inside.”
A book she began composing sometime in “mid-year…maybe late summer 2017,” Rose recalls, her masterpiece of a written work was all but completed in November and was officially released on Black Friday 2017.
Without 24 hours upon its ceremonious release, Rose’s How I Got Here My Holistic Healing Journey had become a bestseller.
“Tajuana planted the seed and God said then, ‘All the things that you experienced was never for you. It is for the lives of the people that you are going to touch. You are the evidence that they will be okay.’”
As expected, the feedback for Rose’s featured book has been overwhelmingly favorable.
“People love my story,” Rose, the founder of Rose Wellness Group, says without hesitation. “After all, I am the living ‘Diary Of A Mad Black Woman.’ Tyler Perry wrote the story, but I lived that life for real. People admire my strength. The fact that I’m not bitter blows people’s minds. They love that they can use food and herbal remedies to heal themselves. Learning that God has given us everything we need to heal ourselves excites them. Food is medicine. The feedback has been all positive. They just want more. I’m ready to give them more too.”
Rose reiterated that another book is surely forthcoming, much sooner than later.
“Oh yes, the follow up to the first one,” she said. “It remains untitled at this time. More holistic and alternative remedies to come. Emotional healing, releasing emotions that are linked to trauma that unchecked can cause disease. Then, I am doing workbooks on different subjects to help people through and to foster new ways of being. For instance, I have a workbook that will teach you how to be more optimistic. Optimism is so key to getting through this one life we are living.”
All things considered, Rose relishes the notion that her bestselling project aligns with the divine purpose for which she was created.
“My purpose is to teach healing, mentally, physically and emotionally,” Rose said. “I started a women’s empowerment community called ‘Just The Gurlz.’ (This endeavor is designed) to Empower women who look like me to find their gifts, or to teach them to stand on their own two financial, spiritual, and emotional feet. The book gives me the platform to do just that.”
Talk about a much-anticipated “release.”
