Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NLT)
REMEMBERING SHAY
For Charmaine E. Betty-Singleton, the coronavirus outbreak unfortunately has given way to a tragic development within her family.
Betty-Singleton’s beloved niece, Karisma “Shay” Dargan, passed away recently after acquiring COVID-19.
She was 33.
According to Betty-Singleton, Dargan was a traffic agent with the New York Police Department who boasted lofty aspirations of becoming a police officer.
“I believed in her abilities,” Betty-Singleton, who resides in Sacramento, California, told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “Shay performed her duties in an exemplary manner and helped her mother, grandmother, and siblings even when facing adversity. Shay was also my sister, a woman of faith and was funky fly.”
The founder and CEO of Praises to the King (PTK) Enterprises LLC, Betty-Singleton established #FUNKYFAITH shoe line, an endeavor she launched on Mother’s Day in her niece’s memory.
