Bay Area business professional Sheila Ann Pullum Jr. goes from high school dropout to well-educated entrepreneur

DEFYING MONUMENTAL ODDS

HOLDING IT DOWN — A native of Oakland, California, Sheila Ann Pullum Jr.’s entrepreneurship stint include functioning as credit repair consultant through the globally-acclaimed company, whose longstanding financial services venture that was organized as a strategic, effective way to support the financial opportunities of consumers.

Sheila Ann Pullum Jr. could be appropriately described as a resourceful businesswoman, one whom has always kept what she deems a “good paying” job.

Still, aside from acquiring a steady flow of income through her regular 9-to-5 gig, Pullum Jr. admittedly has always clung to even loftier goals and ambitions, many of which centered on her quest to thrive as an accomplished entrepreneur.

Generally, this is done largely by implementing positive habits to create and maintain a strong financial future, Pullum Jr. told Making Headline News this week.

“Our unique collection of services have been carefully selected to provide protection and opportunity over the many aspects of your finances — all combined into one easy-to-use system,” Pullum Jr. explained. “Our membership can help to ensure you and your family are safeguarding the assets that you’ve earned and those you have to come.”

A thriving, progressive venture that caters mostly to individuals ranging from ages 19 to “all the way to 70 years old,” Pullum Jr. acknowledged, this Hayward, California-based businesswoman said it is due in large part her keen passion, coupled with her diligently displaying a heart for people that have contributed mightily to her sustained success.

“My passion has always been helping others, so I love being the vehicle to betterment, whether by assisting someone in the credit repair process or by helping someone start a home based business,” Pullum Jr. said. “Our program has helped people achieve goals of homeownership, getting approved for business loans, and simply upgrading lives through the power of credit and entrepreneurship.”

Once a high school dropout, who resumed her education and obtained her GED, Pullum Jr. steadily defied the odds when she had ultimately graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services BSHS.

To her credit, her business-related achievements have been nothing short of remarkable since she delved off into the ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship.

That’s because Pullum Jr. is one of the top 65 producers in her company, a feat that resulted in her being awarded a seven-day cruise on the largest ship in the world, during which she traveled to Bay Islands, Honduras, Costa Maya, Cozumel Mexico, and Nassau Bahamas.

Interestingly, her entrepreneurial success has been put on display in such places as various parts of Florida, Las Vegas, and Houston, just to name a few.

As for her personal mission for functioning in her selected line of work, Pullum Jr. embraces the notion that experience undoubtedly has been her best teacher, in some aspects.

“I was never taught about credit and financial literacy, so like many others, I made mistakes and ended up with bad credit,” Pullum Jr. said. “Once I fixed my credit, my life changed for the better.”

Once her life changed, she sensed she had no choice but to devise ways to help change and enrich the lives of others.

“I felt it was my moral responsibility to share (my knowledge) with others,” Pullum Jr. said. “We cannot do better until we know better. “My personal mission for doing this is educate and assist others and to create generation wealth, retire my parents, and to build a legacy for my sons, grandsons, godchildren, and nieces and nephews. Also, I must have control of my time and income.”

Besides her fellow colleagues and business partners, Pullum Jr. said that arguably her grandest inspirations are Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Iyanla Vanzant, Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Myles Munroe, and Jim Rohn, among others.

“(These) are influencers who have inspired me to push past my limiting beliefs and to fight for the life that I deserve,” Pullum Jr. said.

A little less than two years removed from having started her business venture, Pullum has become a fixture for hosting what is known as weekly overviews in the Bay Area.

DESTINY STEPS

“I consider myself a growth advocate and mindset mentor, encouraging others to stand in their power,” Pullum Jr. said. “(I love) helping people get from where they are to where they desire to be, to break the crabs in a bucket theory as I grow I reach back for others.

“Nothing in life is easy, but we have to choose our hard. Growth starts with the belief that you are capable of doing something different and stepping out of your comfort zone to greatness.”

Well said by a thriving, West Coast businesswoman, one who’s gone from a high school dropout to a well-educated entrepreneur in her own right.

Houston-area author Aisha Nauling’s “Awake” has quickly become a No. 1 international bestseller

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

ALL IN GOD’S PLANS

DREAMS UNFOLDING — Aisha Nauling has gone to great lengths to ensure that her newly-produced book entitled, “Awake,” would be an awe-inspiring written document that would become a fixture not just in the states, but globally.Mission accomplished.

DALLAS — If there’s one thing that Aisha Nauling is convinced of, it is this:

Her labour isn’t merely vain in the Lord.

Consider, for instance, how during a recent interview with Making Headline News, Nauling recalled vividly how God has strategically allowed doors to open on her behalf, most notably through the competitive world of authorship.
“This was an obedience move for me,” Nauling explained. “I knew I was supposed to write a book but had great fear. (Greensboro, North Carolina businesswoman) Leslie Wright invites me to be a part of the book Anthology.”

To her credit, Nauling has gone to great lengths to ensure that her newly-produced book entitled, “Awake,” would be an awe-inspiring written document that would become a fixture not just in the states, but globally.

Mission accomplished.

That’s because much to the delight of this Houston, Texas-area author, “Awake” has emerged as a No. 1 International Bestseller, particularly in the United Kingdom.

That, to Nauling’s credit, is a massive testament that implies, among other things, her labour isn’t merely in vain.

“I refused to let fear or doubt be a reason for me to tell God He didn’t get it right,” said Nauling, explaining her primary reason for composing “Awake.”

A book that Nauling commenced to writing sometime this past winter — “shortly after revamping my credit repair business and launching my shirt line,” she said — “Awake” has been nothing short of remarkable since its much-anticipated release.

And, because Nauling’s published collection of poems and other writings in this book have grasped the attention of an international audience, it’s safe to assume that her best and brightest days as a rising author are well ahead of her.

“It’s an anthology of stories about the epiphany that you can construct and have the life of your dreams,” said Nauling, explaining the divine purpose for her book. “Women (should) go back to capture the moment and document their now. I have been chosen to bring hope to others by sharing my testimony and Godly wisdom on how to gain momentum to live the life God has called them to by living mine out loud.”

HEAVENLY MILESTONE — Nauling’s “Awake” has emerged as a No. 1 International Bestseller, particularly in the United Kingdom.

Interestingly for Nauling, she described the ongoing feedback since the release of “Awaken” as “going bananas,” meaning there has been a constant favorable buzz surrounding her new book.

“(It has) already hit bestseller in the U.S. and U.K.,” Nauling said in wonderment.

All of which practically sums up why other books undoubtedly are in the works, Nauling has announced.

A book that Nauling commenced to writing sometime this past winter — “shortly after revamping my credit repair business and launching my shirt line,” she said — “Awake” has been nothing short of remarkable since its much-anticipated release.

A native of Los Angeles who relocated to the Houston-area seven years ago, Nauling is widely known also as a Certified Momentum Life Coach, as well as the mastermind behind Komplete Xpertise, her financial services institution she co-founded with her husband in 2012.

In addition, Nauling said she’s presently open to speaking engagements to share of her slew of life-empowering testimonies, as well as help advance the kingdom through her assortment of endeavors.

“I do plan to speak to a local congregation in the near future,” Nauling said. “I am ready for more. No hiding back in the season…all purpose.”

A native of Los Angeles who relocated to the Houston-area seven years ago, Nauling is widely known also as a Certified Momentum Life Coach and the mastermind behind Komplete Xpertise, her financial services institution she co-founded with her husband in 2012.

A mother a five — “my husband gave to bonus babies,” Nauling jokingly said — this Texas author and businesswoman is overwhelmingly giddy of the fact that God has strategically set her aside for His use for such a pivotal time as now.

“(I’m) serving faithful in a bold way the kingdom of God,” Nauling said. “Running my own faith-inspired financial consulting business — “credit is queen” — and now adding author. God is faithful.”

Indeed He is, especially when you’ve been strategically set aside for His use, as this accomplished progressive, thriving Texas businesswoman-turned-author can greatly attest.

The rich history surrounding The Robinson Farmland: What you need to know

THE LEGACY CONTINUES…

PASSING THE TORCH — For what it’s worth, Gerone Robinson’s grandparents, the late John T. Robinson Sr. (aka J.T. Robinson) and his wife, Vashti Robinson, instilled in him — and the rest of his family — a slew of lessons that would greatly enhance and add value to their lives. Amongst the pertinent lessons Robinson and Co. weren’t taught: how to assume responsibility as resourceful businessmen and businesswomen.

For what it’s worth, Gerone Robinson’s grandparents instilled in him — and the rest of his family — a slew of lessons that would greatly enhance and add value to their lives.

Amongst the pertinent lessons Robinson and Co. weren’t taught: how to assume responsibility as resourceful businessmen and businesswomen.

“Before we headed back home to California, while at the gas station as we said our goodbyes, my dad hugged me and at that time,” Robinson, during an interview from California this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the disheartening, emotionally-driven developments surrounding his father, who apparently was on the brink of death. “I started crying, because I had a gut feeling that I would not see my father anymore.”

SHOW ME THE LANDMARK

HERE IT IS — As Robinson appropriately explained, it is, by all accounts, a massive, monumental challenge, one he and the rest of the family have dubbed the Background Of The Robinson Farmland, which is housed in Dunklin County, Missouri, a rural establishment that is located in the historic Bootheel of the state, a town that is comprised of roughly 31,953 residents, according to the latest U. S. census.
As it turned out, that was the final time that Robinson had witnessed his father alive. But not before he was given some advice that would change the overall landscape of his life — as well as the lives of the rest of his family.

“He whispered in my ear, ‘You’re my gift, Fix what I have broken,’” Robinson said. “I didn’t know how bad things were until my father passed in June 2014.”

Since his father’s demise, Robinson and his family have been thrust in a fold that includes, among other things, collectively carrying the mantle handed down to them by his beloved father.

During a recent exclusive interview with MHN, Robinson explained at length a somewhat challenging and hurdle for which he and his family have been left to clear.

AND THE BIBLE SAYS…

As Robinson appropriately explained, it is, by all accounts, a massive, monumental challenge, one he and the rest of the family have dubbed the Background Of The Robinson Farmland, which is housed in Dunklin County, Missouri, a rural establishment that is located in the historic Bootheel of the state, a town that is comprised of roughly 31,953 residents, according to the latest U. S. census.

As Robinson told to Making Headline News, here is a thorough overview of the Background Of The Robinson Farmland.

Our farmland legal description: The East 40 acres of that part of the West half of the Northeast Quarter, lying North of Drainage Ditch No. 6, also known as Belfountain Ditch, of Section 21, Township 16 North, Range 10 East of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Dunklin County Missouri, belonging to our late grandparents, John T. Robinson Sr. (aka J.T. Robinson) and his wife, Vashti Robinson. My grandmother Vashti Robinson passed on April 25, 1979, while married to my grandfather J.T. Robinson Sr.

My grandfather began renting his farmland in the early 1970’s until his death on January 10, 1991. After the passing of my grandfather, his children became the heirs of the farmland. There was very little communication between my father, the late Robert Lee Robinson Sr., and his siblings after the passing of my grandfather. My father began overseeing the farmland from 1991 until his passing in June 2014.

In early 2014, prior to my father’s passing, I received a phone call from my father. He asked if me and my brother, Edwin, could come to Kansas City so he could take us to learn about the farmland, because he was getting older.

“At the time, me and my brother didn’t know our father had terminal cancer. My nephew, Robert Burton, my brother Edwin, and myself went to Kansas City. Once we arrived in Kansas City, while we was at our hotel with my father, I asked my father why isn’t the whole family not involved with what is going on with the land.” — Gerone Robinson

My father explained the family was apart, because of a bad decision that he had made many years ago (he didn’t go into detail about what he had done).

During our stay in Kansas City, our father drove me, my brother, Edwin and my nephew Robert to visit our land in Dunklin County. Once we arrived at our farmland, we began taking pictures of the land and the church that belonged to our late grandparents, J.T. and Vashti Robinson.

Before we headed back home to California, while at the gas station as we said our goodbyes my dad hugged me and at that time I started crying because I had a gut feeling that I would not see my father anymore. He whispered in my ear, “You’re my gift. Fix what I have broken.” I didn’t know how bad things was until my father passed in June 2014.

When I got back from Kansas City, me and my brother Edwin spoke with the rest of our siblings (Robert Jr., Kim, Renell, Roxanne, Lugene, Kerry Wayne, and Uliria) about the mission our father discussed with us.

This is when my journey began

First, I went to my auntie to try and get some history from her about the farmland, and it was at that time I realized that whatever bad decision my father had made was taken out on his children.

I wanted to get my auntie’s blessing; unfortunately, my auntie refused to talk to me about the land. As I tried to interview family, all the doors were shut except one. I was given a contact number, which belonged to my cousin, Vashti, whom I met for the first time in 2015. I began explaining to my cousin what my goal was and several hours turned into days of communication.

For a brief moment, I found relief, because I had a connection with a family member who was going through a journey as well. Once my cousin, Vahsti, connected me with my uncle, Jehu (whom I hadn’t spoken to in decades), we began talking and catching up on lost time. I explained to my uncle Jehu about my journey to fix what my dad had broken and try to bring our family together. Afterwards, I asked him for his blessing. My uncle, Jehu, gave me his blessing and he said if I need him for anything, don’t hesitate to contact him.

It was a long journey, and now four years later, my mission is almost complete with the help of family…Especially, my mother (Lugene Sr), who is the backbone to our family, and who inspired me to never give up no matter what the situation is. Thank you mama! Last but not least, to my soulmate Floria (aka Juice) who did relentless research. Thank you! — Gerone Robinson

Pittsburgh’s Heather Lyn overcomes soft drink addiction, establishes a credible health and wellness venture

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES HEATHER LYN

Heather Lyn would be the first to admit that she’s had her share of obstacles.

Still, she’d be the first admit that never did she allow them to deter her from living her best life.

“I’ve spent most of life sick,” Heather Lyn told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “Oftentimes, things would happen to me that even the doctors couldn’t explain, yet understand.”

Diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, as well as an assortment of what she described as “physical incapabilities,” Heather Lyn recalled like yesterday how these seemingly insurmountable hurdles had eventually given way to gaining a considerable amount of weight or, as she tells it, the “heaviest I ever was.”

“No matter what I tried, nothing would take even one pound off of me,” Heather Lyn recalled. “I had a strong addiction to Diet Pepsi, an addiction that could not be broken.”

For Heather Lyn, a native of Pittsburgh, even a host of family members and close acquaintances couldn’t help lure her away from a soft drink obsession that contributed mightily to her unsatisfactory weight increase.

Then suddenly, something rather intriguing happened, something that had ultimately changed the overall landscape of her life.

“One day while talking to a friend on the West Coast, she introduced me to a product that I just had to learn more about,” Heather Lyn explained. “I told her if it’s really that good, I had to have it.”

For Heather Lyn, not only was the weight loss product “really that good,” but much to her delight, it has benefited her mightily.

Now today, Heather Lyn has emerged as progressive, thriving businesswoman, whereby she customarily encourages others to elevate their health, wealth, and happiness.

“I instantly jumped on the website and placed my order,” Heather Lyn said some health and wellness products for which she’s aiming to garner some favorable leads. “I could not wait to get this product into my hands.”

And now that this health-empowering product has altered her life for all the reasons, she’s now on a quest to help others reap and savor similar results.

“On a bright and sunny Saturday morning, I drove down to the local gas station to get my 52 ounce Diet Pepsi. I felt like I needed the jolt to get my day started,” Heather recalled. “When I returned home, the UPS driver delivered my package that I was anxiously awaiting for.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

“I ripped that box opened, and I followed the instructions to get this product into my system,” Heather Lyn said. “I was busy, preparing for our upcoming move and I really wasn’t thinking of anything else. Later in the day, it dawned on me how many cups of water I drank that day, while my Diet Pepsi sat idle…how many boxes I had packed, how much progress I made.”

Now that she’s fervently adopted a new lease on life through her globally-acclaimed health and wellness products, she’d be remiss if she did not encourage others to follow suit.

“For the first time in 30-plus years, I felt amazing,” Heather Lyn said in wonderment. “Knowing what this product did for me in such a short time, I knew that I could not keep this from anyone. I had to share it with everyone I knew.”

So much for Diet Pepsi.

“We all have a gift,” Heather Lyn said of a flourishing business venture she established earlier this year. “We were put on this earth with a mission. My mission is to help others elevate their health, wealth, and happiness.”

To her credit, she’s doing just that.

Not only is Pearl E. Chiarenza widely known as a thriving, progressive, resourceful businesswoman, who discovered and wrote down her life-enhancing vision some seven years ago.

A native of San Diego, Chiarenza, 53, is an accomplished Brandon, Florida-based Naturopathic Health and Life Coach, a career whereby she is afforded the golden opportunity to motivate and empower clients on what she describes as their health journey as well as life challenges.

NATIONAL IMPACT — An entrepreneurship endeavor that has allowed her to put her immeasurable skills on display in a variety of places around the country — most notably in Florida, Texas, Utah, she acknowledged — Pearl E. Chiarenza said it is due in large part to her competitive drive in an ever-so-competitive industry that has given way to sustained success as a Naturopathic Health and Life Coach.

“We provide tools needed to live a healthier life based on their health profile goals and vision,” Chiarenza, the owner and chief executive officer of Women’s Successful Living, told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

Not only that, Chiarenza’s globally-acclaimed venture customarily offers two notable programs for clients looking to lose weight, one of which her clients are assigned to a strict protein program, the other that is centered largely on clients eating a combination of good carbs, fats, and proteins.

“Our life coaching includes clients’ goals and helping them to find the answers they have within to the challenges they are having from moving forward with a dream, overcome being bullied, building confidence, to getting promoted in a career.” — Florida Businesswoman Pearl E. Chiarenza

An entrepreneurship endeavor that has allowed her to put her immeasurable skills on display in a variety of places around the country — most notably in Florida, Texas, Utah, she acknowledged — Chiarenza said it is due in large part to her competitive drive in an ever-so-competitive industry that has given way to sustained success as a Naturopathic Health and Life Coach.

“Where I previously trained and lost my weight on my journey, the owner told me that I would not be able to succeed without her, and that empowered me to prove not only to her, but to myself that God has set this journey for me, and the only person that will hold me back will be myself,” said Chiarenza, who officially became a Naturopathic Health Coach Life Coach graduate this year. “Seven years later not, only am I succeeding, I am also inspiring others to see their inner pearl of greatness.”

Amongst the biggest reasons Chiarenza is greatly propelling others to rediscover the best version of themselves is because she’s an entrepreneur whose reputation is such that she displays having a heart for people.

Talk about running diligently with the vision — and mission, of course — to which God strategically introduced her.

“My mission is to empower our young adults to begin a healthier lifestyle at an early age and to begin working on their vision, so they do not have to wait when older to achieve their goals and our other clients to see that vision within their inner oyster and inspire them to see it as a beautiful pearl of greatness,” said Chiarenza, who business venture accommodates individuals ranging in ages 14 to 65.

As for her business-related itinerary, Chiarenza will be hosting a wellness event on November 5 and will be spearheading her company’s rebrand launch on November 9 at the Sparkman House.

Also, to kick off the New Year, Chiarenza will take part in what is dubbed the Create Your 2019 Vision Board on January 5. She will then host the Worth It PJ Retreat from April 5-7.

“Growing up, I was very shy and was picked on, because of my looks, last name, and shyness,” Chiarenza said. “In addition, because of a childhood, tragedy it is important to me to touch my clients’ inner core and encourage them to find their strength to achieve their life and health goals.

“I have seen women leave abusive relationships, close and start businesses, and become mentors to others, because of my coaching or attending a retreat I have hosted.”

That’s because she’s widely known as a thriving, progressive, resourceful businesswoman, who didn’t just discover and wrote down her life-enhancing vision some seven years ago.

Rather, she’s a flourishing entrepreneur, who has gone to great lengths to run with it.

Knapp-Chiarenza also contributed mightily to the book entitled, “Behind Her Weight Loss,” which was officially released in 2017.

She contributed also to the book, “The Success Factor,” which also made its presence on the market last year.

“Behind Her Brand: Entrepreneur Edition Volume 6” even addresses life’s occasional disappointments and, most importantly, the victories of 12 successful female entrepreneurs, all of whom have turned their brand into what they label catalysts for their business successes.

The feedback since the release of her authorship projects has been overwhelmingly favorable for Knapp-Chiarenza, a West Palm Beach, Florida native.

“I have had women share that they can feel the positivity I share with my clients in person, and have used the tools when making decisions on their business or health journey,” said Knapp-Chiarenza, who’s also the owner and chief executive officer of Bodyworks Health & Wellness Center.

THEY ALL LOVE PEARL — The feedback since the release of her authorship projects has been overwhelmingly favorable for this West Palm Beach, Florida native.

Widely known as the community liaison for The Sylvia Thomas Center for Adoptive and Foster Families whereby she’s allowed to share her story and the institution’s success with others and in her business — most notably by providing a percentage of its income from working with our clients to the center — Knapp-Chiarenza has announced that other books are forthcoming.

“Writing my stories has led me to writing my own anthology called, ‘Finding Your Pearl,’ with 12 women sharing their stories of being touched by my coaching or attending my retreats,” Knapp-Chiarenza said. “In addition, our oldest was born of our heart and raising him has open our world to see how society reacts to our family dynamics. I am working with my son on a book titled, ‘Raising An Adoptive Child Of Color In A White World,’ detailing the trials and tribulations we have endured together and individually.”

FABULOUS TANDEM — Along with fellow writer
Cheryl Polote-Williamson, Knapp-Chiarenza  co-authored the book, Success Factor, which also made its presence on the market last year.

As for her itinerary, Knapp-Chiarenza will be speaking with a Brandon-area nonprofit organization on November 7, as well as during the Visioning And Women With A Purpose event in March 2019, she said.

“(These books) have inspired me to keep pushing thru and opening my oyster to the path (God) has prepared for me,” Knapp-Chiarenza said.

Amongst the biggest reasons is that it doesn’t matter how discomforting and discouraging the issues of life occasional become for this beloved, big-hearted author and businesswoman.

The perseverance of this devout woman is such that she’s going to become destined to, you know, discover her inner strength.

Every single chance she gets.

Los Angeles author Janice Freeman’s “She Got Up” attracting constant rave reviews since its November 2017 release

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS SALUTES AUTHOR JANICE FREEMAN

Janice Freeman wasted little time obeying the Voice of God.

In fact, for a lack of better words, when God specifically commanded that Freeman get up, that’s exactly what she did.

“God said, ‘Do the book. It’s time,’” Freeman told Making Headline News this week.

The book to which Freeman is alluding is the awe-inspiring written document entitled, “She Got Up: One Woman’s True-Life Testimony Of How She Got Up.”

A book that is comprised of 80 pages in length and was officially released on November 10, 2017, Freeman’s “She Got Up” recalls what this brilliantly resourceful writer describes as a series of “inexplicable, supernatural attacks” against her life.

DEFYING ALL ODDS“In “She Got Up,” Los Angeles-based author Janice Freeman talks about the harrowing, near catastrophes, which tried to destroy her life and how she clung to God moment by moment,” said a spokesperson in a rather descriptive, provocative breakdown of Freeman’s book at Amazon.com. “Within each experience, you’ll see the in-your-face proof of God’s deliverance, bringing her to the safe harbor of His protection.”

Not only that, Freeman, in turn, was left to fight back the only way she knew how — by way of the supernatural forces of God.

“In “She Got Up,” Freeman talks about the harrowing, near catastrophes, which tried to destroy her life and how she clung to God moment by moment,” said a spokesperson in a rather descriptive, provocative breakdown of Freeman’s book at Amazon.com. “Within each experience, you’ll see the in-your-face proof of God’s deliverance, bringing her to the safe harbor of His protection.”

Much to the delight of this fine author, she had ultimately possessed the breakthrough she so desperately sought.

CONSTANT PAGE-TURNERA book that is comprised of 80 pages in length and was officially released on November 10, 2017, Freeman’s “She Got Up” recalls what this brilliantly resourceful writer describes as a series of “inexplicable, supernatural attacks” against her life.

“Janice Freeman won her fight, and she’s about to show you how to win yours,” said the spokesperson with such great authority while assessing Freeman’s book.

A native of Long Beach, California who currently resides in Los Angeles, Freeman began composing “She Got Up” November 10, 2017 and needed a little more than a month to complete a book that have steadily attracted rave reviews since its ceremonious release.

Freeman’s book was finished on November 10 of that same year.

“Don’t give up on God. Trust Him through the process,” said Freeman, explaining her divine purpose for a book that is advancing the kingdom mightily. “Get up and win, because it’s not over for you!”

For what it’s worth, Freeman would be the first to concede that “She Got Up” was absolutely essential in this, the modern-day church era, were countless of believers are seemingly on the brink of losing heart (or giving up, if you will).

“Great book. I needed that,” Freeman said. As for the feedback since her book’s release, Freeman said she’s heard an array of comments from readers such as: “’I know someone that needs your book. I cried when I read your book. You are a strong woman. That’s for men and women, and others would say, You don’t look like you been through anything. God loves you. Wow! Where are you speaking at next? We would love to come and support you.’”

KINGDOM IMPACTFor what it’s worth, Freeman would be the first to concede that “She Got Up” was absolutely essential in this, the modern-day church era, were countless of believers are seemingly on the brink of losing heart (or giving up, if you will).

Besides “She Got Up,” Freeman authored the book entitled, “The Urban Heart,” another compelling project that was published April 2015.

Interestingly, Freeman said that plans are presently in the works to release a third book sometime before year’s end and that a majority of her public appearances to promote her books typically will arise by way of regular motivational speaking, as well as through ministry, during which she is afforded the golden opportunity of reaching women from various walks of life regarding healing and deliverance.

With several scheduled engagements on the horizon — “I have scheduled in-town and out of town speaking engagements the rest of the year,” she said — Freeman is just grateful to finally bask in the glory of the purpose for which God created her.

“I thank God for allowing me to get up,” said Freeman, who has proudly adopted the hashtag trend that is #SheGotUp. “I’m thankful. All glory belongs to God!”

Q & A: California ordained minister Tinequa Bedford defies arguably the toughest of odds, starts a flourishing ministry

Within minutes of conversing with Tinequa Bedford, it wouldn’t take very long to realize that given that about which she had to overcome, she is a woman after God’s own heart.

Truth be told, the mere fact that Bedford is alive today is because, well…on second thought, perhaps she could pretty much tell it herself.

“God saved me so that I could save somebody,” Bedford, 45, customarily says virtually every time she finds her sharing her assortment of life-changing testimonies.

Which, much to her delight, essentially sums up why this Lancaster, California-based ordained minister and native of Tulsa, Oklahoma deemed it necessary to share of story once again.

Only this time, she spoke exclusively with Making Headline News.

That said, we bring to you an extensive Question and Answer segment featuring Tinequa Bedford.

TAKING INVENTORY OF HER LIFE — “The testimony changed my life, because I could be dead and sleeping in my grave, but God saw differently. It made me realize that perhaps it was such a time as this that God has a greater purpose for my life. That I am here to help women and even a man that could be being abused, battered, and broken down, and to help them understand that they are worth more than they know. It helped me realize the strength that is inside of me, and if God delivered me, He can do the same thing for you. It made me appreciate life for what it really was, and that no material possessions or man could ever replace the goodness of my God. The most important thing is to always remember God kept me and to serve Him all the days that I live.”

MHL: Describe your upbringing in the church:

TINEQUA: My upbringing in the church was a traditional one. I was raised in the Baptist Church. Every Sunday we went to church. From singing in the choir, serving on the usher board, and how can I forget standing up on Easter Sunday in front of the entire congregation saying my speech. You name it. I did it.

MHL: What are amongst key, life-enhancing values you were taught as a Christian child?

TINEQUA: Among the many key values of that my mother taught we…what I remember the most was never give up and always strive to achieve your goals no matter comes your way. The situation that you’re going through will make you stronger as you strive to achieve each goal without feeling sorry for yourself. Most importantly, my mom taught me that life doesn’t stop to wait for us. We must keep moving forward with time or get left behind. My biological father was never in my life and that is why I had so many downfalls when it came to men. I wish that I had more to say when it comes to my biological father but, in reality, I know nothing about him, and he knows nothing about the woman of God I am today. But God! (My Father above)

MHL: So it seems that, obviously, drawing to closer to God has been a primary focus all along for you. Would that be a fair assessment to make?

TINEQUA: He picked me up, turned my life around, and placed my feet on solid ground. Now, He taught me that I was more than a conqueror…that I can do all things through Him, that all I had to do was continue to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else would be added. My Father taught me to love people in spite of their faults and see the need because we all need to be loved. My father showed me one of the greatest key values that anybody can ever be showed is that when you truly know selfless love, you shall gain His unmerited favor.

DESTINY STEPS — “I fully accepted my calling June 7, 2015. I was licensed as a minister of the Gospel. One year and five days later, I was elevated in my calling and received my evangelism license. Even at that time, I was still running from my calling to serve God. I knew that this was something that was not to be played with that I couldn’t just give God my sloppy seconds. I was either going to be hot or cold and not lukewarm. So, my spiritual father, Dr. John L. Lett, Sr., felt that it was time to accept my calling from God. He saw me through so many difficult times in my life and even at my lowest point he was there to help me find my way. He saw something in me that I didn’t even see him myself at the time and he never gave up or stop believing in me. I love and miss him dearly!”

MHL: Any pastors or ministers in your family?

TINEQUA: Yes, my uncle, Pastor Fred Abraham Jr., is the pastor of New Paradise Baptist Church in Pearblossom, California. We were ordained and licensed by the same pastor, my spiritual father, the late Dr. John Lee Lett, Sr.

MHL: What is so special about the support you’ve acquired as a young minister of the gospel?

TINEQUA: The support that I’ve received from my family is outstanding. My husband, the man that God sent me, Deacon Alvin Bedford, always has my best interest at heart. He only desires what’s best for me. He knows my journey has been hard to get to where I am today. So, at times, he’s a bit overprotective, but he’s still the man that I love, adore and I appreciate all of his support that he gives me no matter what. Outside of God, he’s my best friend. My kids have been a tremendous support to me through this journey. My oldest son, Dariante Smith, calls me the virtuous woman. I love them dearly for the support that they have offered me as I travel this tedious journey, fulfilling God’s purpose over my life. Dariante, Angel, and Isaiah are what make me stronger in my walk…they give me purpose and inspire me to never to give up.”

MHL: So it seems that your uncle, this mighty man of valor, saw flashes of your spiritual greatness long before God strategically  handpicked you for His glory. You agree?

TINEQUA: Yes! My uncle, Pastor Fred Abraham Jr., is truly a man of God, and when he has to be away from God’s pulpit, he calls upon me to stand in his gap. What an honor, because he is dedicated to what God has trusted him with and he loves his membership. He believes in me. We all come from a background of loving the Lord, and they only want what the Lord desires for my life. My family continues to push and support me into my destiny in life, and every day, they are amazed at the woman of God that I have become.

SHE CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW — “When I look back over my life, I saw God positioning me for His ministry when he sent Three Angels to speak to me…literally! I was about 29 years old. “

MHL: Tell us more about your beloved mother and how she has gone about paving the way for you for a time such as now.

TINEQUA: My mother, Alexa Brown…well, she’s one of my biggest supporters. When I come to her for advice, she always tells me to do what’s right in my heart and let the Lord lead me. She comforts me when she sees the burdens that I carry, trying to teach God’s people how to live righteously, leading them to Christ. She sees every day the disappointments I face when I feel Gods people have fallen astray and she says, “I’m sorry you have to go through that.” But I always tell her, “To whom much is given, much is required.” Along with the host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc., they have my back, and truth be told, I have theirs as well.

MHL: When you take inventory of your life, what is it that you see?

TINEQUA: When I look back over my life, I saw God positioning me for His ministry when he sent Three Angels to speak to me…literally! I was about 29 years old. First positioning: God sent an angel unto me. She came to me in a store and said God had a plan for my life and that in me was greatness. But I didn’t understand it then. She walked away and I went back to look for her, but she was gone. Second positioning: I was driving down Ventura Boulevard when a man jumped in my car. How did he know that my doors were unlocked? He began to speak to me. He said, “Drive me down the street to the next block and let me out.” I drove and his words were so profound. He said, “You’re a special and unique individual. You have good in your heart, now let me out here.” He got out! Third positioning: I had just came out of 10 years of domestic violence abuse in my first marriage and I was coming home from the hospital, riding in the car with my mother. And then the third angel was sent to me through a phone call. A very good friend of mine named Kekee Parker was caring for my children while I was at the hospital being looked at, because I had been abused and tortured all night. She called my phone and she said, “I have a woman who is asking to speak to you.” The woman had walked up to her in the store and described my situation to her, insisting on speak with me. So I spoke with the woman and tears begin to fall down my eyes. The woman had begun to speak, saying “God told me to tell you that it was over and that no more abuse was going to come upon you.” The woman started describing how she had been in an abusive relationship and almost got hit with a bullet but the bullet missed her by an inch.

MHL: My God! So now what?

TINEQUA: As I rewind those moments and begin to play them in my head is when it all seemed clear. God works in mysterious ways, and we don’t always understand His plan until it is revealed right before our very eyes. I began to question the No. 3 (angel) and the significance of it. I began to ask the Holy Spirit to show the revelation to me and it came. Christ rose on the third day with all power in His hands, and I do declare after the third positioning encounter, I rose with all power in my hands. I was never the same again. Glory to God!

THE PSALM 105:1 FACTOR — “He picked me up, turned my life around, and placed my feet on solid ground. Now, He taught me that I was more than a conqueror…that I can do all things through Him, that all I had to do was continue to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else would be added. My Father taught me to love people in spite of their faults and see the need because we all need to be loved. My father showed me one of the greatest key values that anybody can ever be showed is that when you truly know selfless love, you shall gain His unmerited favor.”

MHL: When did you officially accept your calling to spread the gospel?

TINEQUA: I fully accepted my calling June 7, 2015. I love and miss him dearly!

MHL: Tell us a memorable testimony.

TINEQUA: This is my testimony. I’m married at the age of 29. I had a desire to be a wife, a mother, and raise my family in a two-parent household. So with having one young son who was nine years old and being pregnant with my second daughter whose father had abandoned us, I met my first husband. He seemed like he was a great guy and that I could trust him. Keep in mind I never really had my father in my life. I had been abused by multiple men in my lifetime as a young girl, and even when I did get the one opportunity at meeting my own biological father, he molested me as a young girl. I was just someone who wanted to be to be loved, but had no idea what real love was. To me, abuse was named love. So I got married to whom I thought was my knight in shining armor, and he really turned out to be my worst nightmare. Within six months to a year after being married, that’s when the abuse began. Night after night, being tortured, raped, and abused. There were so many nights I just knew I was going to die. Secrets of his drug addiction unfolded. I’ll never forget one night, he woke me up in the middle of the night while the kids were asleep, he said, “You wanted to know if I have a drug addiction” because I kept asking him. The red flag was there and I so desperately ignored it. So at knife point, he made me watch him smoke drugs all night while he raped me…afraid to leave, 10 years back and forth of torment, because I didn’t know how to walk away and stay gone. Now keep in mind, all I knew was love’s name was abuse, so I would leave and go back. I would leave and go back, because he said, “Oh I’m going to change,” and I really thought he would. I even dealt with him having an affair. So after two and a half years, I finally got the courage to walk away and filed for a divorce. So my mother and I hired someone to file my divorce out of the Penny Saver. Lord and behold, to my surprise, just when I thought it was over, I found out that I was still legally married to him. You see…the person that I hired to do my divorce took my money and ran off and never completed the paperwork. My spiritual father, Dr. John L. Lett, Sr. was the one who married us. So, I got a call from my spiritual father saying that he had been contacted by my husband at the time, to tell him that he looked into us being divorced because he had not been served any paperwork. Come to find out, we were still legally married. Ok, just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…well, by this time, I’ve already had my third child, Isaiah, and I’ve had this child out of wedlock. Now, at this time, I had just found out that Isaiah’s father was living a double life and he had a family that I had no idea about. Let me tell you he had hidden it really good, or maybe he hadn’t really hidden it and I just didn’t pay attention to it. You know how the red flags are there and we don’t pay attention to the red flags because we’re so desperate to find love, or at least I was? So I felt like, “Why not go back and try this marriage thing again because it’s been some time since we’ve been away from each other maybe he really has changed?” After a couple of months, he was right back to the same abuse. I finally decided that we would move back into the same home together, night after night, I was once again a victim of the same cycle.

MHL: OMG! So when this tumultuous cycle end?

TINEQUA: It finally comes to an end when, one night, he tortured me, then he got a knife and he told me that if I didn’t cooperate that he was going to kill me. So, all night, I prayed and I prayed and I prayed while being tortured. So the next morning I told my kids they’re not going to school and that we’re going to act as if everything is okay and wait for him to go to sleep. So, after he went to sleep I turned on the vacuum so he couldn’t hear us. I frantically grabbed my children and we got the hell out that house. I finally felt safe, but after a few months he found me again. He was a truck driver at that time, so after he found me he put me on his truck and he tortured me once again all night by gunpoint. I remember telling him that he had a demon inside of him and for that, I paid a heavy price. And then he shoved a bottle up my butt all night. Once again I prayed and prayed and I prayed and I said, “Lord if you deliver me, I will serve You all the days that I live and I will never look back.”

MHL: So then what happened?

TINEQUA: And then an angel appeared before me like Peter when he was released from prison, and here I am, standing faithfully like Job.

MHL: How did those dramatic sequence of events change your life?

TINEQUA: The testimony changed my life, because I could be dead and sleeping in my grave, but God saw differently. The most important thing is to always remember God kept me and to serve Him all the days that I live.

MHL: Tell us about your ministry.

NEVER FORGET TO REMEMBER — “The support that I’ve received from my family is outstanding. I love them dearly for the support that they have offered me as I travel this tedious journey, fulfilling God’s purpose over my life. Dariante, Angel, and Isaiah are what make me stronger in my walk…they give me purpose and inspire me to never to give up.”

TINEQUA: The name of my current Ministry is called Damaged Goods Organization. It is an organization that will reach abused and battered families and to help them rebuild their lives. Why? Because someone who was once healthy and/or normal, but isn’t anymore due to unfortunate, traumatic events in his/her life (i.e. physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, drug abuse…You get it). Who better to help them when you have been there? My planned itinerary is to not just transform lives through my testimony, but to travel, teach, preach God’s word and to lead people to Christ…to inspire and motivate God’s people while becoming one of the greatest, profound speakers and ministry leader that God has called me to be. I was called to build God’s kingdom!

MHL: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our reading audience?

TINEQUA: If I could add anything, I would say as Job said: “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I leave.” There’s a peace that passes all understanding that this world can’t give you, so never give up on God. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!

Well there you have it, folks.

Within minutes of conversing with Tinequa Bedford, it wouldn’t take very long to realize that given that about which she had to overcome, she is a woman after God’s own heart.

Now we know why.

Sacramento-area businesswoman Terry A. O’Neal enriching and impacting lives globally through an array of endeavors

‘TERRY IS SOOOOOO VERY BRILLIANT’ — To her distinctly unique credit, Terry A. O’Neal occupation includes the 44-year-old Stockton, California native assuming the role as an author, poet, screenwriter, producer, public speaker, motivational speaker, voice over artist, mentor, educator, as well as an instructor of Communications, English, and Literature. Talk a remarkably compelling career for a woman of many hats.

For the record, Terry A. O’Neal could be appropriately described as one who is a Jill of all trades.

You know, a woman who is skilled in or adept at a wide variety of tasks or abilities, not to mention one who is quite efficient in many endeavors.

Consider, for instance, how O’Neal broke down her professional lines of work during an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News.

To her distinctly unique credit, O’Neal’s occupation includes the 44-year-old Stockton, California native presently assuming the role as an author, poet, screenwriter, producer, public speaker, motivational speaker, voice over artist, mentor, educator, as well as an instructor of Communications, English, and Literature.

Talk a remarkably compelling career for a woman of many hats.

Because her businesses are what she described as “cross functional,” that she has blessed with the gift of giving back is extremely key, O’Neal acknowledged.

“What has driven me most in business was my fervent desire to be successful and to inspire others,” O’Neal said. “Rather than being in competition with others, I was always competing with myself. I constantly challenge myself to be better than I was before.”

Given the immense strides she has made while juggling a slew of notable and commendable tasks, not only is O’Neal excelling mightily, but it’s safe to assume that she has shown virtually no signs of slowing down any time soon. Who can blame her?

WHAT ABOUT TERRY A. O’NEAL? www.TerryAONeal.com

That’s because for starters, she started an independent book publishing company called Motion Publishing in 1999 whereby she is afforded the opportunity to publish inspirational books of poetry, children’s books, Southern family fiction, and full-length feature screenplays. Interestingly, she is credited for having published the works of several authors, including the youth poetry anthology, Make Some Noise: A Youth Poetry Anthology, which is a collection of poetry and prose written by youth ages ranging in ages 12-to-18.

GLOBAL IMPACT — Interestingly, she immense gifts and talents through entrepreneurship have attracted a global presence, most notably in South Africa, Iran, Jamaica, Australia, Canada, Bermuda, Pakistan, and throughout an array of establishments across America.

It wasn’t long thereafter that O’Neal in 2005 established the Lend Your Hand, Educating the World’s Children non-profit organization, which is designed to support disadvantaged schools, classrooms and deprived youth in general, while supplying them with the proper supplies and/or financial contributions needed to help make learning a success.

Consequently, O’Neal in 2008 founded the Black National Black History Bee, which is a program devised to test students’ knowledge of Black History facts in the form of a trivia competition, of sorts.

Then two years ago, O’Neal’s non-profit organization’s name converted to The Terry O’Neal Foundation, whereby it offers the same services to disadvantaged youth around the world.

SUCH A HUGE INSPIRATION — Given the immense strides she has made while juggling of number of notable and commendable tasks, not only O’Neal excelling mightily, but it’s safe to assume that she has shown virtually no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Also, O’Neal is founder and producer of the entertainment production company called Le Bleu Ray Production, which produces inspirational family films, narratives, and documentaries.

Talk a remarkably compelling career for a woman of many hats.

“Making sure all of my I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed is imperative,” said O’Neal, explaining how her competitive drive in life has propelled her for what undoubtedly is an illustrious career for her. “When it comes to dealing with the personal lives of people — and in the business, in general — quality over quantity applies to every aspect of it.”

And because her businesses are what she described as “cross functional,” that she has blessed with the gift of giving back is extremely key, O’Neal acknowledged.

“Although (my businesses) operate independently to complete a specific task, they come together and work collectively to meet one common core goal: to create positive change for society through arts, literature, culture, and education,” O’Neal, a California State University at Sacramento alumna, said. “I appreciate my ability to give back and make a difference in the lives of others.”

O’Neal is credited for having started an independent book publishing company called Motion Publishing in 1999 whereby she is afforded the opportunity to publish inspirational books of poetry, children’s books, Southern family fiction, and full-length feature screenplays. Interestingly, she is credited for having published the works of several authors, including the youth poetry anthology, Make Some Noise: A Youth Poetry Anthology, which is a collection of poetry and prose written by youth ages ranging in ages 12-to-18.

As for those who have the luxury of benefiting from her valiant contributions as an accomplished businesswoman, O’Neal’s publishing company caters to all ages and ethnicities, she emphasized.

“Most of the works published have an emphasis on Black heritage and culture,” O’Neal said. “We put out picture children’s books, poetry, young adult fiction, southern fiction, non-fiction, inspirational stories, and screenplays.”

Moreover, the Terry O’Neal Foundation caters primarily to disadvantaged schools and youth ages 18 years and under, she said.

SHE’S SO ON POINT — “Making sure all of my I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed is imperative,” said O’Neal, explaining how her competitive drive in life has propelled her for what undoubtedly is an illustrious career for her. “When it comes to dealing with the personal lives of people — and in the business, in general — quality over quantity applies to every aspect of it.”

Interestingly, she immense gifts and talents through entrepreneurship have attracted a global presence, most notably in South Africa, Iran, Jamaica, Australia, Canada, Bermuda, Pakistan, and throughout an array of establishments across America.

“My personal mission is to be a bridge that others can cross on their journey to achieve success,” said O’Neal, adding that her three children have been amongst her grandest inspirations. “Not only do I want my own children to know that can achieve any goals they set in life, but I want to uplift entire communities through my work to help shape future generations into courageous leaders with strong moral character.”

To her credit, she has uplifted people from various walks of life for 20 years and counting.

Which, of course, for the record, Terry A. O’Neal could be appropriately described as one who is a Jill of all trades.
